First, it was a tentacle around Kyo's wrist, then her mouth, "mmph?!"
Shinto reacted too slowly to save her, "Kyo!"
But like a dead carcass, she was dragged away effortlessly. Shinto didn't sit there frozen, though; she chased her best friend's fading form. Shoving past thick bushes and low-hanging branches.
Kyo tried her best to untangle herself from the mysteriously appearing appendages. "Shinto!"
Kyo reached out a hand, and Shinto did her best to grasp it, but only her fingers brushed against Kyo's as another tentacle whacked her in the face.
Leaving her friend to be captured for a second time.
As she got up, she felt a warm sensation drop from her nose; she sniffed and touched it and found she was bleeding. "Great."
Shinto flared her wings and swooped into the sky; she didn't want Kyo to wait forever to be saved again. So she went to seek help from Koga.
Scanning the ground for him from a bird's eye view helped. She spotted him, surprised and anxious to see him chatting with Inuyasha.
"Koga!"
The wolf moved to the call of his name, "Shinto?" The angel landed in front of him, choosing to ignore Inuyasha. "Kyo's been kidnapped."
His claws began to ache for a kill, specifically for what took Kyo. "Was it Naraku again?"
She shook her head, "I don't know who or what it was. Some random tentacles came out of nowhere and took her. Will you help me find her?"
"Of course, you don't even need to ask!"
Shinto wasn't expecting to be suddenly spun around and Inuyasha grabbing both her cheeks. "Your nose is bleeding."
"I'm aware." She said as she moved his hands off, "Let's get Kaede to treat you." He instinctively went to take ahold of her wrist, but Shinto just wiped her nose on a sleeve.
"There all better; now let's focus on Kyo."
Koga gave Inuyasha the side eye, "I mean, you should've expected her to be that way."
"Oh, shut up."

Kyo woke up dazed; a woman's voice sounded when she cracked her eyelids open.
"I see you're awake; how do you feel?"
"Sleepy but fine; where am I?"
The black-haired woman wearing a traditional kimono replied. "In my master's home."
"In your master's...why am I here? I have no reason to be here. I got kidnapped again, which is bullshit."
"It seems in his eyes you hold such beauty he had to have you for yourself."
"I gather that's why you're here then."
She forced a smile, going even further to produce a humourless laugh. She guessed it was meant to come off as warm.
"No, I just serve him."
"Willingly?"
The female's kind, brown eyes darkened, but she quickly hid it and changed the subject. "You look very familiar, miss."
"I do?"
"Mhm, you resemble a girl I was friends with during my younger years. You're almost a complete replica of her."
"Sounds as if you are speaking about my mum; if that is the case, then you were friends with her."
"What's your name, dear?"
"Kyo."
"I'm Sarah; it's funny you even have her name."
"I didn't know my parents' names; I never asked. They died when I was 16, unfortunately. But this is too much of a coincidence for my mum not to be who you're talking about."
"Oh, I see; then I'm honoured to meet her daughter and very sorry to hear both of your parents died."
Kyo knew she needed to escape, but she was interested in any information Sarah held about her mum. "What can you tell me about her past or what you knew of it at least?"
Sarah smiled as if remembering a fond memory. "Kyo was fearless and brash as a kid, always getting me and her into trouble."
"But she never engaged in physical fights, not a particularly good fighter. In fact, I don't think she had a mean bone in her body. I don't remember much more, sorry, my dear."
Kyo sighed, "It's ok; we should both get out of here. I'm sick of being stuck somewhere."
Sarah frowned, "I'm afraid that's not possible."
Kyo stood, "why?" Then was back on the floor as someone pulled on her ponytail. "Because nobody leaves without my permission."
Kyo got a good look at her abductor features.
"Now, put this on. Your style of clothes repulses me." He freed her ponytail from his grasp, throwing a kimono on the floor. "I shall see you both in a bit."
