Kyo argued with Inuyasha about Shinto; she and him clashed all the time since the angel's departure from the human realm.

Kyo constantly brought up the events between him and Kikyo and how Shinto was right to call him a liar. Inuyasha shot back something hurtful, "Do you always lose people because of your bratty nature?!"

Inuyasha huffed when Kagome came striding in. She'd gotten Koga, Kyo also realised this, and her mood turned sour again. "Kyo, come with me; we need to talk."

Without resistance, she excited the hut, retreating into the pouring rain. Koga followed after his friend but not before shooting Inuyasha an angry look. The sliver-haired demon ignored the implied threat in those sky-blue irises.

"Why were you intentionally winding the mutt up?"

Kyo rested her head between her knees; they both sat in the rain near the well. "Kagome got you to stop a brawl from happening." It wasn't a question, but Koga answered anyway. "Yes...I'm glad she did because who knows what you two would've done to each other. I don't want you hurt again."

Kyo's voice broke as she spoke, "It's too late for that..."

He sighed through his nose, "You miss Shinto a lot."

"Yeah."

"And Inuyasha's comment hurt too."

"....Yeah."

Koga opened his arms, "Kyo...come here." Without hesitation, she threw herself into his strong embrace, long held in tears now escaping from the box she'd kept them in. Sobs erupted from her throat, claws digging into the fabric of Koga's clothes. But he didn't care. He was here to comfort her, and anything she needed, he would provide.

For these two actions spoke louder than words. Koga never intimately touched Kyo. Never would have this felt intimate to him. But it did, and he strangely liked it. Ever since Kyo came back to him, he'd had the biggest desire to protect her, wanted to have her close to him. The wolf demon assumed it was because of the prolonged absence of her presence in his life.

Kyo still clung onto Koga even when all her tears had dried up. Nose snotty from all the crying, Koga ran his fingers through her ponytail every now and then. The silence between them was a nice change from all their chaotic surroundings. NoNooise could be heard, even with their heightened senses.

Kyo lifted her tear-stained face; Koga wiped a stray tear away with his thumb. Her eyes were red and puffy; he couldn't help but chuckle. Kyo gave him a confused expression.

"I just thought how much your eyes resemble an ocean when you cry."

Kyo punched his shoulder softly, "I'm upset, and you're complimenting me."

He rested his tan hands on the wet grass. The clouds had finally cleared, "I'm just telling you how it is, Kyo; you do have a beautiful face." Her jaw dropped, a large blush creeping across her cheeks. It sunk in for Koga what he just said. He shot up and turned away from Kyo. "We should get back. Now."

She didn't want to. She never wanted this moment to end. "Alright...let's go." For the sake of ending the awkwardness, she'd let Koga use his excuse.

Koga spoke up, "I think we need to go get Shinto. Being an angel, she'll be up in the sky, right?"

"We don't even know how to get up there." Kyo felt her chest cracking.

But a voice cut through the tension, one Inuyasha was all too familiar with. "I can help with that." Everybody turned to the incubus, "But you better prepare for a hell of a battle."
