Get up

"What have you done, you stupid fish?!"

Flow'elk presented her pricked finger to Inuyasha, "I can make minions from a drop of my blood. Mindless drones that follow my command even if I am not around. My little friend went after your precious angel."

A heavy stone settled in Inuyasha's gut; Kyo would no doubt be injured, and without her powers, who was there to protect them?

He sheathed his sword and ran to find the two girls. Flow'elk grinned. "Good luck, dog. Though I doubt you'll like what you find."

Kyo finally noticed the creature headed towards her. She scrambled backwards, but there was nowhere she could run. Especially with a broken rib or two, if she moved much more, one of the bones might puncture her lung.

The presumably dead angel was lost in her mind somewhere. Any outside noise was blurred and unclear; a voice in her head made it harder to focus.

A whisper, soft and wicked, close to the sound of hissing. This voice seemed to edge closer and closer, making the words being said to her easy to decipher.

Get up.

Get up?

Get up.

Why?

GET UP!

HELP OUR FRIEND.

As if a switch had been flicked, Shinto pried her eyes open. However, they had changed to red. Horns protruded from her head as black wings flared from her back, and a smile showing her fangs stretched across her lips.

Kyo gasped as she saw her best friend standing, blood caked the side of her temple. Blood still soaked her torso, and the hole in her stomach, as grotesque as it looked, also remained.

But there she was, all smiles and brow furrowed in a confident manner. But in this form, she attacked anyone.

"Hey, lacky!"

It turned its scrawny body in the direction of Shinto. "You think I'm going to let a little puncture wound stop me from beating you?"

The cocky tone in her more malicious voice held the same air as Inuyasha, just more alarming.

Shinto wasn't spared a moment as the creature punched where it already injured her. "Hck!"

She gritted her teeth as pain racked her entire body once more. But reacting quickly, she knee'd her opponent with an immense force. Sending it barrelling into a rock, though it seemed to phase it barely, the minion rose without a scratch.

Her blood coating its long claws dripped onto the ground like water. It screeched at her before charging again, ready for another hit.

The sight of its sharpened nails drove her further. She couldn't take this anymore.
"Get back here." She roared before swinging at it wildly.

Her arms felt as though they would break from her attempts, but she kept on pushing through, even if every part of her screamed to rest.
The monster dodged easily like a cat does an angry dog.

The shadowy appearance of a spear appeared in her hand.
As soon as she heard her opponents' footsteps come closer to her, she hurled the makeshift weapon, aiming for the back of the creature. The tip sunk into the soft tissue of the thing's shoulder, and blood spurted out as the thing screeched.

It stumbled, losing its balance. Her next strike was aimed directly at its head, but it moved its head in time to avoid a direct hit. The cloth that had previously covered its face was now ripped, sliding off it onto the ground in two severed pieces.
