Chapter 28 Halfway towards west side

Team Erza accompanied by Natsu were half way to their destination, the west side of Magnolia. People would often give them odd looks most likely because of Natsu's appearance. He decided to turn into a snake, the same one as before, but of course he was smaller like a regular sized one, and the one who was carrying him was Wendy. At first he was quite against it since she doesn't like snakes, but in the end she was forced by Erza saying something along the lines of "Don't worry Wendy we'll all take turns carrying him, but since you seem to be the closest to him your going first" and every time someone tries to take Natsu off her he hisses and tries to bite and since nobody actually knew if his bites were venomous they didn't want to risk getting bit. Every once and a while Wendy needed to itch her neck the scales from Natsu were making her itchy since he was wrapped around her neck, not very tightly of course. They were walking through the market when Erza stopped and started eyeing off the cakes that were being displayed
"We're stopping for a while" she simply said and wandered off towards the cake stand and started ordering them all.

"Looks like we'll be here for a while" Gray said sighing in the process and scratching the back of his head

"Yeah, count on Erza to get distracted by cakes" Lucy said. Wendy in the other hand was started to rub her legs together "You okay Wendy?" Lucy asked concerned, Wendy nodded

"Yeah, but I gotta go to the toilet" she said with embarrassment in her voice, Lucy nodded

"Okay, I guess we'll all meet up later, it'll be awhile before Erza's finished her... cake" Gray said and started to walk away. Lucy waved Wendy off and went her own direction leaving Wendy and Natsu to their own. Wendy started walking around trying to find the toilet. It took her a while but she managed to find it and was about to go into it when realisation hit her

"Um Natsu-san  do you mind hoping off for a minute please" she pleaded. Natsu didn't exactly want to get off but by the way Wendy was squishing her legs together, he didn't really have a choice. So he reluctantly made his way down to her hand and she placed him in a tree then rushed over to the restroom. While waiting for Wendy, Natsu found himself twiddling his thumbs or in his case twitching his tail. He was bored of watching people go about their business and was wishing Wendy would hurry up with hers. Suddenly the tree started to shake uncontrollably Natsu tightened his coil around the branch he was on and looked down to see a couple of people shaking the tree, by the smell of them he thought that they had too much alcohol.
He wanted to bite them but he also didn't want to cause trouble for Wendy so he let them be, though he was starting to feel a bit sick 'damn motion sickness' he thought. He decided that he'd leave the tree so he went down without anyone noticing and made his way towards a stand that hadn't been set up yet. He still felt small especially now that he was hiding under a stand, and he hated it.

Wendy was finished her business and was heading out of the restrooms and towards the tree, which she saw was being tormented by drunks. She cringed her nose as she could smell the alcohol coming off them. He ran over to them and tapped one of the mans shoulder, he turned around and glared at her
"What do ya want kid? Can't you see that your interrupting our fun" one of the drunks said glaring at Wendy who was starting to get nervous

"U-um can you please stop shaking the tree, y-you might disturb the animals that are in the tree" she said slightly shaking. The two men stopped shaking the tree and went right up to Wendy one of them in front and the other behind. Wendy was now scared.

"What ya gonna do about it kid? Eh? Cause the way I see it your trying to ruin our good time and that is quite a sin" the other one said eyeing Wendy up and down "say how about you come with us to make up for it eh? We'll show you a good time" he said grabbing Wendy's arm and pulling her closer to him "whatcha say" he smirked licking his lip in the process

"I-I-i have to go please let go, your hurting me" She wined, she thought that he would break her wrist. He pulled her even closer and then she heard a crack. It was definitely her wrist. It hurt so bad that she started to cry "please stop"

"She said to stop, I suggest that you do exactly that before you get hurt" everyone looked over to the side to see a girl around the same height as Erza. Long pink hair that went down to her waist. Her eyes were onyx with black slits.  Wendy knew exactly who it was because of the outfit. Natsu never changed it. Wendy wonders if Natsu just had a whole wardrobe of the exact same outfit. Black sleeveless tops and white baggy pants with Japanese style sandals.
"Well hurry up! Let her go" Natsu said ignoring all the stares that were coming her way. The man that was holding onto Wendy let go and walked to Natsu until he was infront of her. At this point Wendy was behind Natsu clinging to her shirt.

"Well well aren't you a sight to look at" he and the other man kept looking at Natsu, giving her the creeps though she was used to it "why don't we make a deal, how about you come with us instead of the kid eh?" The drunk said while the other one was already looking like he was ready to do it then and now.

"No, how about we make a deal, you leave us alone and I won't break your bones, sound fair right I'm sure that it would be agonising to have broken bones though I personally want you to not leave us alone so I can break your bones" Natsu said with no care to who was listening. Wendy was somewhat horrified that Natsu would say stuff like that when he's female.

"Hahaha" both of the drunks were laughing their heads off "as if a darling little thing such as yourself would have the guts to break someone's bones I bet you couldn't even kill a mouse" one of the drunks claimed still laughing his head off along with the other one. Natsu tolled her eyes and took the mans hand and broke his wrist making him dream out in pain

"Oh my, I'm terribly sorry it seems that I may of accidentally broke your wrist, Wait a minute I did tell you that I would do that didn't i in that case let's call that your punishment for hurting my friend" Natsu looks at the other man who started running away leaving his injured friend alone. Natsu let the other drunk's hand go in which he too ran away and was about to go after the other one when she felt a tug on her shirt. She turned her head to see Wendy with tears in her eyes, then she looked at her hand which was swollen from the broken wrist. Natsu sighed "come on let fix your hand" she said and gently started to pull Wendy away from the place that they were in 'how the hell am i supposed to explain this to the others'.

Natsu and Wendy arrived at a less populated area of the market, there were still people about but not as much as before. They came to a stop on a bench next to the river
"Give me your hand" Natsu asked. Wendy moves her hand over so Natsu could take a closer look at it. Natsu gently took Wendy's hand and examined it, she definitely wasn't as good as Zeref was with these type of things but she did know a thing or two. She applied pressure to a part of the wrist and saw Wendy's face scrunched up indicating that she was in pain, but Natsu already knew that but she needed to find exactly where it was broken in order to fix it so she kept applying pressure in different spots
"Natsu-san it hurts" Wendy said crying the pain was unbearable to her

"I know, but I gotta find out were exactly is it broken otherwise I can't fix it" She replied

"Fix it? But you can't use any sort of healing magic? Can you?" Wendy asked

"Sort of, I mean I have a Black Art spell that would work" Natsu replied still applying pressure until she hit a certain part and Wendy screamed in agony "found it" she simply said before she told Wendy to hold her
hand out which she did.  "Black Art: Black Needles" little black needles formed out of thin air and slowly went into Wendy's wrist she was honestly terrified at this, but she also trusted Natsu so she knew that it would help. Slowly but surely she could feel her wrist becoming better again and before long she could move it again like nothing ever happened.

"Wow Natsu-san it completely better again" she giddied and started spinning herself around, then suddenly she hugged Natsu tightly startling her. Natsu didn't exactly know what to do in this situation so she just sat their awkwardly after a while Wendy realised what she was doing and backed off quickly and started bowing up and down saying sorry so fast that Natsu had a hard time keeping up.

"It's all right but I do believe we should go meet up with the others, they'll get worried after all" she said getting a nod from Wendy.
