Chapter 4 - The guild

3rd person POV

TS back at the guild

Erza, Gray and Lucy came back to the guild an hour ago along with E.N.D which is now locked up with Gray's demon slayer magic in the cell. At first everyone didn't exactly believe the story of why they were gone for nearly three days, but people get over the minor things details.

Gray and Lucy were sitting at the bar telling Mira and Levy on what happened at the mansion while Erza was munching on her strawberry cake on a table, nothing was happening, that was until master came out of his office walked up to Erza, Gray and Lucy and spoke
"I want you three to be the ones watching that demon, since your the ones who brought him here, but first I wish to have an audience with him"
"That's fine and all gramps, but he's not even awake yet, sooooo you get what I'm saying"
"Yes my boy, however I already am aware that he is awake" The three of them just sat there confused as to what the master was saying, since nobody's been down into the cells to see if he was awake or not
"How can you be sure master" Erza asked
"Awhile ago when you first put him into the position he is in now, I had Mira place cameras around the cells to keep an eye on him" He explained calmly, the group got over their confusion pretty quickly and agreed to what the master was telling them, they were surprised as to how far ahead he has already planned 'I'd expect nothing less from the master' Erza smiled at the thought
"Very well then let's proceed" Erza said.

So the four of them went down towards the cell in which they were keeping E.N.D. The hall was stone and so was the floor, there were normally torches that were lit for lighting, however due to the fact that E.N.D was a fire demon they made an exception to use light bulbs instead. They decided to place the demon in the furthest cell, just to be cautious. When they were able to see the cell they slowed their walk and approached cautiously, when they got closer they noticed that he was awake.

"It's good to finally see awake, now would you allow us to ask you a few questions" the demon just looked at the Makarov, he questioned himself on how small and puny he was, and if this was really the master of a guild
"Piss off old man, I don't intend of having a 'talk' with any of you" Erza stepped forward 'how dare that devil speaks to the master that way, I teach him a lesson' Makarov puts his arm in Erza's path indicating that he wanted her to stop, she understood and immediately backed down,
"Very well then" Makarov stared walking away from the cell "oh just so we're clear, your not leaving this place anytime soon" and he continued to walked away and so did the other three, they never looked back, but they could feel the hateful glare that was coming from the demon.

TS one month later

It had been a over a month since the team went to the cells with Makarov and still nothing. The demon won't talk, eat, or drink, he would just sit there, every time that someone went to 'try' to give him food or water he would give a hateful stare and make his eyes go black (the entire eye) Lucy became so terrified of him that she won't even go spend there to help check up on him, not to mention that she was still traumatised on what she saw in the demons room.
"Master I understand that we need to get him to talk and all, but it's impossible if he won't cooperate" Erza was complaining so loud that the whole of Magnolia would be able to hear.
"Very well then Erza, how do you suggest that we get him to talk, be mindful that letting him go is out of the question" Erza just stood there after a while she held her head down, indicating that she didn't know.
"Why not just chain him outside, it's not like he can do anything" Makarov listened to Gray's idea and sat drinking, until he came up with an answer.
"Very well, you and Erza go get him, and for heavens sake make sure he's secure, I won't tolerate any injuries or death today" Erza and Gray nodded and proceed to the cell. Lucy was uncomfortable about this decision, she didn't want to be able to see him, she shaking her hands as they were shut together, Levy was talking to her but she wasn't paying any attention to her friend, she was just too distracted.

A couple minutes later Gray and Erza emerged from the door to the cells and with them was E.N.D. Everyone in the guild stopped what they were doing and stared at him, their faces going from happy to fearful in seconds, he was enjoying looking at their faces and as soon as he caught a glimpse of Lucy he smirked and turned his eyes black, Lucy started to freak out, she felt like those eyes were piercing right into her very being, she was on the verge of crying until Levy put her hand on Lucy's shoulder telling her 'that it was alright' Lucy's smiled, but her fear would never go away.

Once they were outside Gray used his demon slayer magic to make four anchors into the ground, and then they connected them to the demon to make sure that he couldn't escape.
"Alright E.N.D, master has given you permission to be able to get out of the cell, but not forever so make your time outside count" Erza said and walked off with Gray who was also unamused with the situation,
"Fools, humans are all fools" The demon mumbled under his breath and just smiled sinisterly.

Six hours had past since they let E.N.D out of his cell apart from the occasional glares from him, nothing had happened nor in the guild, everyone was doing what they usually did, Erza was eating her strawberry cake, Gray was half naked talking to Mira who was cleaning the bar, Levy and Lucy were talking about the book that they were reading and so on. Levy was trying to read a book but since it was in another language, she was having trouble deciphering it,
"Ooooooohhhhhh I CAN'T DO IT LU-CHAN ITS JUST TOO HARD, THIS IS AN IMPOSSIBLE BOOK TO READ"

"Don't worry Levy you'll figure it out since your the best at deciphering....... well anything"

"Thanks Lu-chan your the best, the problem is though that I haven't even figured out what language it is in yet, and if anyone knew what language this is in, they would have to be extremely old, since this book is very VERY old" Levy said, at that moment Levy had a moment of realisation, and looked out towards the demon who was still sitting outside, and she put on a hopeful smile, she looked back to Lucy who was shaking her head as a 'no don't do it', however Levy just stuck her tongue out at her and walked out of the guild with the book, towards the demon.

Levy approached the demon cautiously, since she didn't know if he could move at all, or not. She got close enough to be able to see strands of his hair, she bent down to eye level and asked
"How old are you? You must be centuries old right" Levy asked a very annoyed demon, he opened his eyes and give her the royal glare
"It's none of your DAMN business how old I am, now piss off" Levy was not impressed by his attitude, he reminds her of Gajeel, as if one wasn't bad enough now there's two of them.
"Hmmm I was only asking" she said while pouting "anyway's can you read this" Levy shoved the book in front of his face, he was giving off the 'back off' vibe and so she moved it away a little bit.
"So what if I can read it, it's not like I'm gonna read you a story"

"No, I just want to know what language it's in, won't you tell me pleeeeeaaaaaase" the demon's eyes widened a little bit and he turned his head to the left and smiled.
"Japanese"
"Huh"
"The book"
"Thanks for saying, but what made you change your mind?" Levy asked in confusion
"Well I'm leaving now" he said, Levy thought he was cocky, there's no way anyone let alone a demon escape from Gray's demon slayer magic, 'whatever you think' Levy thought as she walked away. Once she got into the guild there was a commotion, there was a demon in the guild but it wasn't E.N.D it was someone else.
