Natsu and Wendy went to meet up with everyone else though they never did discuss a meeting place so they were just wondering around hoping to find them. Eventually they came to a crowd that was surrounding a area and because its in their nature, they got curious and heading to see what the commotion was about, and no surprise it was Erza. Apparently she was getting growled at because she was eating all the cakes available and not leaving any for anyone else. Natsu and Wendy sweat dropped. They saw Gray and Lucy and wandered over to them. They were confused and wandered who the girl was with Wendy, until she turned her eyes black for a brief moment then they knew who it was
"So how long has this been going on for?" Wendy asked Lucy rubbed the back of her head and giggled softly
"For a while" Lucy replied "she's eatin' all the other cakes at every other stand, which as you can see is causing some problems" she added glancing back at Erza who was doing extremely well to ignore all the complaints she was getting.
"So why don't you stop her?" Natsu asked getting dumbfounded looks from the three of them, which made her sweat drop. She didn't know what was wrong with what she said but by the looks on everyone's face it was something of a nightmare
"By all means you can try to convince her to stop but I can assure you that it won't work" Gray said crossing his arms "you see when there's cake involved things get ten times more worse, nothing will convince her to stop until it's all gone" he said Wendy and Lucy nodded
'So she's a gluten' Natsu thought
"At this rate you guys are going to be late for your supply delivery" she said, everyone sighed "if it's such a problem why not just get rid of the cake" she added. Everyone looked at her as if she was crazy
"Are you nuts! That's a suicide mission" Gray said horrified that anyone would actually suggest that
"Whatever" Natsu said. Over an hour past and they were still waiting on Erza and the group to say the least, was getting annoyed. Finally the stall man decided that was enough. He banned Erza from the stall and so did everyone else who saw her, Erza was depressed after that. The group wandered of to the depressed Erza and tried to cheer her up but in all honesty they were glad that she was banned because now they would be able to get back to what they were doing beforehand. Another hour later and they finally arrived at their destination it was a little cottage just outside of the west side of Magnolia. Erza was the one who knocked on the door and the one who answered was a boy no older than 6.
"Hello there, my name is Erza Scarlet and these are my fellow members" she turned her head ever so slightly and noticed that Natsu was gone, her eyebrows twitched "we're here for the request for supplies, may I speak with your parents?" She asked as sweetly as possible and showing off the box that had the supplies in
"Their dead" he bluntly said
"O-o-oh, well I'm sorry to hear that" Erza replied, then out of no where Gray asked
"So how'd they die?" Erza, Lucy, and even Wendy gave him a death glare, scaring him.
"They were killed two years ago, by the bad people who destroyed the town" he replied with sadness in his voice. Team Erza felt somewhat guilty for what happened to the kid's parents 'a kid his age shouldn't have been caught up in a battle such as that' Erza thought clenching her fists
"Is it hard living by yourself?" Lucy asked kneeling down to his level
"I'm not alone, I have Marley with me" he proudly said
"Is Marley your sister or brother" Lucy asked once again, getting a shake of the head from the boy
"He's my dog, and my best friend" he was grinning away which put a smile on everyone's faces "You wanna meet him, he's very friendly and he loves to play, you'll love him" he said dragging Lucy off with everyone following behind. He led them off behind the house were there was a beautiful garden covered in rose bushes and a large tree right in the middle. They thought it was absolutely breathtaking, but that's not exactly what caught everyone's attention. What truely caught everyone's attention was the fact that Natsu was sitting on a bench talking to the Marley the dog, and not only that but he was back in his normal male form. Erza thought that he was unbelievable, first disappearing then trespassing in a client's backyard 'unbelievable'
"MARLEY!" The boy ran up to his dog and gave him a hug Marley jumped on the boy and licked his face causing him to laugh uncontrollably. Erza and co walked up to them. While they were walking Erza glared at Natsu who simply ignored her
"So this is marley, he's quite a big dog" Erza said reaching out her hand to pat him but only to be snarled at, giving Erza the indication to back off, which she did
"That's because SHE's a wolf" Natsu said rolling his eyes "Fairy Tail can't even tell the difference between a dog and a wolf. Pathetic" he added getting another glance by Erza.
"Well anyways where would you like me to place the box" Erza asked. The boy got off Marley and waved his hand at her indicating that she should follow which she did leaving the four by themselves with the wolf.
"So Marley's a wolf?" Lucy said being cautious around the wolf as she knew that they were supposed to be savage, well according to what she's read in books. Natsu glances at her slightly then looks away just as quick
"Nah duh" he simply said
"I wonder what a wolf is doing hanging around a kid" Gray wondered out loud getting an annoyed look from the demon "I bet you already asked it that right? You gonna tell us?" He asked Natsu who started to pat the wolf
"Not that it's any of your business, but the rest of her pack was killed by hunters a few years back, having nowhere to go she eventually came across this place, you know she used to have pups three of them but they too were killed, I guess the kid reminded her of them" he said still caressing the wolf who was now laying down. No one talked until Erza came back with the kid who was carrying roses from the garden
"Thank you for bringing us supplies, we will remember you always. Right Marley" the boy said and the wolf wagged her tail. Eventually everyone was on their way back to the guild. Well most people since Natsu wasn't exactly following the route that the others were using, in fact he was trying, note "trying" to get away from them which wasn't working as well as he would like it to. Since they kept following him
"You can STOP following me you know" he said getting annoyed. He hated to be followed even when Zeref was still aroun. He can't stand being watched all the time it makes him feel like a prisoner he hated it. "Am I not aloud to spend some time alone, cause it really feels like I'm being babysitted" he added continuing to walk
"You are technically still classed as a threat, even if you have surrendered, so we shouldn't take our eyes off you" Erza simply said to the now infuriated Natsu. He stopped walking and everyone who was following bumped into him causing them to react with a grunt of dissatisfaction "if you were going to stop you should've given us a warning" she added. Natsu on the other hand just huffed
"So you still think that I'm a threat even though I said that I'd surrendered, are you serious. I understand that trust isn't so easily established however, I do believe that you should at least try to take my word. I have no intention to fight there's absolutely no reason to do so, besides I don't want to cause trouble I hate being in the centre of attention" he started to walk away again this time no one followed him.
