Chapter 39 Heatwave

It was the next day and unfortunately for everyone it was hot. Everybody was doing everything they could to cool down but to their misery, it wasn't happening. It got so hot that the event for the day was canceled so most people was spending the day at the beach trying to cool down. Even Jura and the guild masters were at the beach cooling down. There were people in the water and there were people on the sand. Then there were those few people who were wasting away drinking alcohol. Gildarts was walking towards Laxus who was also trying to cool down
"Laxus my man, how your doing in this lovely heat?" Gildarts said. Laxus looked up from whatever he was doing and glanced at him. Laxus was annoyed that Gildarts always decided to make conversation with him.

"Lovely? Your definition of "lovely" is absolutely absurd, the heat is terrible and I'm forced to have conversation with you. Two out of the many things that I absolutely despise" he answered looking back down from the mage. Gildarts patted him on the back, though to Laxus it felt like he was being slapped instead.

"Haha your jokes get more amusing every time"

'It wasn't a joke'
"Why don't you go bother someone else, someone who would want to be bothered" Laxus said trying to get Gildarts away from him

"Ohhhh but your so fun to talk to, besides I tried finding Natsu but I couldn't spot him anywhere so your the only one who I really want to have conversation with at the present moment" Gildarts replied with a somewhat smug grin on his face. He sat right next to the Lightning mage and took one of the bottles of alcohol that Laxus was using and decided to take it for himself. Pissing Laxus off, who snatched the bottle right back causing Gildarts to pout.
Meanwhile most of the females were in water playing around, but to their misfortune they were being stared at by a fair few of the males.
"You know Erza-san I'm getting quite uncomfortable being in the water, you know since we're being... uh" Wendy didn't like being stared at especially since she was wearing a swimsuit. It was a simple aquamarine one piece, the top half of it had frills and the rest was simply the colour. Erza pulled the young dragon slayer into a protective hug.

"Don't worry Wendy, if anyone even looks at you I'll kill them" Erza said glancing at the men and giving them a death stare, which made them back off pretty quickly. Erza was wearing a yellow and black striped bikini, Wendy was getting flustered being close to Erza like the way she was. Juvia came and hugged Wendy also though to Wendy it was more of a warming hug than a protective one.

"Juvia will also drown those people" she said getting a sweat drop from poor Wendy. Suddenly the three were splashed with water. Erza let go of Wendy and looked over at her newest victims which consisted of a white haired takeover mage wearing a simple purple bikini. A blonde haired girl with a pink flower in her hair, she wore a ruffled bikini top with a fairly small train on her pants.

"Mirajaine... Jenny, I see that you both have a death wish for starting a war with me" Erza said as she charged forward towards the two who were running away giggling and mocking her for being so slow. Sitting on the waters edge was Lucy, Levy and Yukino. They were trying so very hard not to get caught up in the war that is going on in the water

"You know guys I don't think I've ever been so afraid to go into the water, even though it's so hot" Lucy said with her arms tied around her legs. Levy and Yukino were sitting either side of her and also hugging their legs

"I agree" Levy said. Yukino nodded in agreement.

"If your so hot why don't you go into the water?" The three girls turned around to see Natsu standing behind them, but that's not what surprised them. No, what truely surprised them was that he was wearing his usual baggy trousers and his black sleeveless top, not to mention his Japanese style sandals. "Something wrong? Your staring"
