Chapter 3 - The escape

3rd person POV

Zeref's room was just up ahead, everyone was nervous about what might happen inside. We came to a stop, the demon (E.N.D) opened the door to Zeref sitting down (still) on his throne. We were pushed into the room and stood in front of Zeref "bow down" the demon said while he stepped on Lucy's back forcing her to kneel, Gray and Erza also did the same, Zeref was watching as the fairies were being put in their place bowing before him "You May go now" he was telling the demon, E.N.D stopped what he was doing, bowed down, and walked out of the room, closing the door behind.

Once the demon left the fairies stayed kneeling down as they did not want to anger the Black wizard, he stayed in the chair and just watched them for what seemed like forever until Erza opened her mouth
"What are you going to do with us?" She asked nervously, you could tell she was nervous because she had sweat rolling down her face
"I'm not sure" Zeref replied "I could lock you back up in the cage for that seems like an effective way to keep you under control, or I could cut up and feed you to the demons I'm sure they would be happy about that, I also could give you to Mard geer to use as an experiment, I know he has been looking forward to doing some new human experimentations"
The whole group was terrified of what might happen next, especially Lucy since she looked like she was going to throw up. At that moment Zeref stood up grabbed a scroll and opened the cupboard that was next to Lucy, when the cupboard opened Gray and Erza nodded to each other, and then kicked Lucy through it sending her down the hole, Zeref just stood there while it happened he smirk and he finally said
"Good attempt to escape, however your efforts are in vain"
"What are you talking about, now she can get out of this place" Erza said
"Is that what you think" Zeref dropped the scroll down the hole "the fact that you don't know where the drop ends will be your downfall"

With Lucy

Lucy was sliding down for what seems like forever until the sliding came to a stop and she fell on the floor "ouch" she said aloud. She looked around and she was in the room from before, the one with the dart board, on the other side of the room there was something she didn't see before, a fish tank it was a fairly big one too and there were lots of fish inside they were greenish and had red on them "I wonder what type of fish these are?" She said
"Piranha" she quickly looked around the room and noticed E.N.D half undressed sitting on the bed, she started thinking on how it might not have been a good idea to come down the hole without knowing where it went, then again it wasn't her fault she came down the hole in the first place
"Red-bellied piranha to be more specific, they come from the Amazon" he said "They say you look delicious, I recommend that you stick your arm in there so they can have a taste" he got up from his bed and walked over to where the hole is and took the scroll and read it.

It was an awkward couple of minutes for Lucy, once he had finished with the scroll he burned it with his magic, this was the first time Lucy had seen him use his magic.

He looked over to Lucy who had also been looking at him and sighed, he walked towards the dart board with the human corpse on it and pulled off an arm, blood splatted everywhere including on the demon, and there was a faint moan from the corpse indicated that it was still alive. Lucy was horrified and even stumbled back and fell onto the ground. The demon walked over to the tank and placed the arm into it allowing the piranha to savagely devour it, the demon smiled at them and turned back to Lucy who was still on the floor walked over to her and grabbed her hand (ignoring that he still had blood over him) and pulled her to her feet.
"So I'm guessing that Zeref didn't send you down here, otherwise he would have done it while you were unconscious" Lucy was reluctant to answer him, she even turned her head away from him, he sighed "well it doesn't matter I can always pin you to the wall while your still awake" he grabbed her head and turned it to face him "what do you say blondie, should I do it" she was horrified at the fact that this was the same boy they found in a tree, none of them could have ever guessed that he was someone with such a twisted personality
"You have to help us out of here" Lucy said, she wasn't very comfortable asking for someone like him to help but she didn't have a choice
"Huh" he looked pissed, still holding onto her head he yanked it to such a position that she thought her neck would snap "why should I help you people to get out of a place you humans went into yourself" he was gripping harder onto her head she felt like crying
"Because you said, ever since we came here your peaceful life has gotten horrible, don't you want to have it the way it was before you met us" he flinched, and stood their holding her head for awhile until he let go grabbed his vest and walked out the door, Lucy followed.

Lucy was confused at to what he was doing, was he helping them or not, and if he was why was he going towards the cells instead of Zeref's room?
"What are you doing? Shouldn't we be headed towards Zeref's room?" She asked but the only answer she got was a glare.

They finally got to the cells and Erza and Gray were inside one of them, the demon opened up the cell, Gray and Erza were confused and just stared at the demon, until Lucy ran to them and hugged them both, they jumped at first but then embraced it.
"Oh congratulations for reuniting" E.N.D said "now do us all a favour and hurry up, I do not have all day" everyone nodded and followed him out into the forest until they were a far enough distance away from the mansion.
"Be mindful to never come back, next time I won't be so helpful" the demon said that and started walking away, Erza whispered into Gray's ear he nodded.
Gray stood in his Ice make stance activated his demon slayer magic and casting a spell on the demon DEMON SLAYER ICE MAKE CHAIN purple chains wrapped themselves around the demon weighing him down to the ground, he was unable to stay standing he fell on his knees and gave a demonic look to the group
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING" he asked furiously, he tried to turn his head towards the group but was unable because of the chains
" IS THIS HOW YOU HUMANS REPAY SOMEONE WHO HELPS YOU"
"Don't take it personally E.N.D, but we can't exactly go back empty handed, don't worry unlike you demons, we don't torture or kill, so you'll be okay" Erza said, still the demon was not impressed and started losing consciousness "you humans are gonna die, I'll make sure of that" after that he fell unconscious due to the demon slayer magic
"Did we have to do that, I mean he did help us" Lucy felt guilty for the demon, she didn't like him or anything but it did seem wrong to do that to him
"Come on, let's go back to the guild" Erza said and never looked back, none of them did.
