Faye opens her eyes seeing an unfamiliar apartment, neatly furnished furniture covering in trendy and girly decorations with photos of unfamiliar people that seemed like family all happy with the younger versions of Pandora; smiling with glee some of them looking close to Harry or Faye. She has a sharp pain in her head, wincing as she sits up her clothes still on, her mind going back to last night with Jake the betrayal growing back.
Pandora appears from the bathroom, concerned as Faye looks at her with an angry look, "Hows the head, amor?"
Amor, Faye scoffs rolling her eyes standing up crossing her hands across her chest. "I don't know what type of shit show you started, but you stay away from me, you understand?" She snaps at Pandoras whose eyes went wide. "I came here to escape my abuse, not relive it with some weirdo."
"Rose, I finally have you I can't just pretend this never happened."
"Look, Pandora; Me and you don't have shit to talk about, okay? You don't know me and I don't know you, We're strangers-nothing more." Faye snatches up her purse. "Don't ever try to contact me again."
"Rose, no..." Pandora whispers with tears throwing a medium sized fist at the wall, "I can't lose you again."
Faye raises her brows, "Well, what do you want from me anyway? There's always something for you people and nothing in for me." Pandora raises her brows as Faye flared her nostrils putting her arms down not meaning to expose anything like that.
"Rose...he kept it up with you?" She says in disbelief. "He..."
"It's over with, okay? It stopped about a year ago when I last saw him...it's fine..." Faye's voice trailed off her chest tight.
"Haley and Jake never stopped him?"
"They were afraid."
Pandora scoffs, "Those monsters were never afraid of him, dummy. Harry was Haleys dealer with the newest shit on the market; as long as those drugs kept giving her high she didn't give a fuck...and Jake? That boy is a fucking menace, okay? When Harry was done touching me Jake tried to and when I said no; I got my ass whipped by the both of them. I went to school and snitched; the media and cops got involved until he fucking new the right people to give his hush money too." Pandora rolls her eyes in disgust. "He sent me across states by myself with family I didn't even know existed, he left me with a broke heart and a broken nose...I can't believe he..."
Faye looks down at the floor, her situation sounding close to what Faye had in the beginning. "Well I wish I would've left instead of trying to get abortions carrying his kid." Her jaw clenches as Pandoras face went pale with an open mouth. Their eyes meet, "I tried to fight; incase you think I wanted it...I even fought Mom..."
"You never ran away?"
"All the time but somehow I'd end up back to his place, the longest I disappeared for was a year with a guy named Cole but he wasn't much different...long story short he's dead." Faye shrugs. "Before I came here, I was engaged to a guy and before him I fell deeply in love with a girl...and I ended up acting like Harry with his abusive ways and I ended it...and that same night I just left...no one knows I'm here and I would like it to stay that way."
Pandora stares in fear at how easy it was to say those vile things, "Rose...how have you not had a psychotic meltdown?"
"I have episodes but..." She shakes her head. "I can handle it."
Pandora walks in front of Faye, stroking her cheek with love as tears streamed down her face with pain of failing her young sister. All the years thinking Faye was getting her letters to find out that it was never sent...or the fact that Faye was hidden from her trying so desperately to know she had someone who wanted to save her...to know she was too late made her cry. She hangs her head low, grabbing Faye's dress softly, the feeling that she couldn't save her coming back in. "Oh, Rose, I never wanted this to happen." She sobs falling to her knees. "I fucking fought, Rose...I fucking fought and they all failed me the same way I failed you...fuck." She covers her face as Faye looks down at her with a soften face. "You're my baby sister...we did everything together; this hurts too much...I hate all of them, fuck...I tried so hard, Rose; please please believe me."
Faye didn't want to show much emotion but she pushed it down a bit seeing Pandora sob on the floor, she bent down hesitantly reaching her arms out, she gave a light hug but Pandora threw her body at Faye sobbing by the contact, unable to handle it was still real that she was in the same apartment. Pandora grabbed her tightly as if it was the last they would see one another, "I love you, Rose." She sniffles. "I know we're strangers but I'll stay to show you I'm your sister."
"I mean we're fucking twins." Faye laughs as Pandora pulls away holding her hand with a grin. "I don't doubt they're isn't chemistry but I don't want to look back at my past...I don't think I can handle it."
"That's fine." Pandora says wiping her tears. "I don't think I can handle losing you again."
Faye sighs heavily before the sound of keys jingling came with the door opening, Faye standing up as another women and a little girl came in both of them standing in shock as everyone stood staring with wide eyes. "Rose?" The women gasp having similar looks to Harry, "Rose!"
"Rose!" The child repeats with a smile, her eyes matching Faye's, the girl jolts up with happiness running towards her but Faye takes a step back in fear already more overwhelmed than before. "But-" The girl looks at Pandora who picks her up giving a small smile to break the ice.
"Rose, my god!" The women exclaims still in shock. "I tried to track my brother but..." She shook her head cursing him in Spanish but before anything else was said Faye bolted out the door with panic. She hears them call for her but she ignores and quickens her pace with fear and confusion...The similarity of all of them hitting her like a brick, her mind getting loud all over again...she wanted peace and quiet; not a fucking family reunion!
Faye felt she for sure didn't need a family especially with practically being on her own all her life, she couldn't accept this! It was all too much, she was trying to steer clear from her past and now...a whole family? A whole family? Why now? Why not before? She couldn't even remember Pandora yet there were pictures plastered all over her walls with them, her mind screaming it was Harry wanting to fuck with her but Pandora's emotions seemed to real and raw to be fake...She couldn't accept it...not now; not ever. Whatever sick joke it was, Faye was going to put a fucking stop to it; she was somewhat on the right path with her mental health and now this was throwing off! She couldn't ever see Pandora ever again; She could never speak to Jake again; The whole point was to never look back for God's Sake!
Faye bolts out the building as people gave concerned looks at how panicky she looked; dried blood on her forehead, the memories of Harry coming back with all the negative emotions she tried her best to push down inside but it all came , her vision seeing double as she felt weak. Her eyes darting trying to find her car but realizing she was in a different avenue that she wasn't familiar with. Faye's legs wobble as she falls down onto the floor, not catching her breath before her name echos in the distance seeing Pandora bend down grabbing her for support. "No!" She yells pushing her off stumbling to get back up before she begins to cry hard. "No!"Her voice grows louder before she sees a familiar pair of heels, her eyes wondering up at Haley staring with shame. "Haley!" She grabs her chest as Pandora stands her up, leaning body weight Faye seeming to relive a sort of trauma before her mind went blank.
