Irene has her eyes outside, staring at the people walking in the street, going on with their lives, living the normal life that she had dreamed of all her life. Her thoughts are all around the place while her wife shares stories with her ex fiancé as if they were bestfriends that shared years of bonds together.

The two really have a great connection with each other, but Irene couldn't really hide the fact to herself that she wasn't glad to see Chaeyoung again.

"Your coffee has gone cold, Hon." Seulgi said that snapped out her wife from its trails of thoughts and worries. Irene just let out a small smile for her, but Seulgi knew that look, that look that exactly tells you she has something on her mind.

Seulgi asked if she was okay, Irene only said yes. But Chaeyoung by now is getting suspicious of the older woman's unexplainable avoidance of eye contact and the spoil mood it was showing to them. She doesn't want to jump to conclusions and think ill of Irene's behavior, but this can't stop herself to feel that her presence was totally unwanted.

Chaeyoung stood up that made the couple look up to her, maybe Irene wasn't ready to face her now especially when the history they shared wasn't really ideal for reunions like this.

"I'm sorry, I think I have to go. I left some work back at the site, it was nice having coffee with the two of you." She bowed and smiled at the couple, Seulgi did the same but Irene just looked at her.

Chaeyoung just turned her back and was about to walk off when Irene grabbed her by the arm. She looked back and saw how Irene was hesitating, pondering whether to say something or not. Chaeyoung and Seulgi caught the wavering of the older woman, so before Irene could say anything, after Seulgi and Chaeyoung shared a known look, the younger woman suggested an idea.

"Do you want to talk somewhere else?" Chaeyoung asked, Irene just nodded. They walked out the café, leaving Seulgi there alone.

The two went to the parking lot infront of Chaeyoung's car where there are no people. Chaeyoung just waited for Irene to say something, it seemed like the older woman is gathering a bit more of confidence to speak and it makes Chaeyoung more curious on what Irene has to say.

"I'm really sorry for running away Chae, I just wanted to say that first before telling you everything." Irene said, her head hanging low. She can't bear to look at the younger woman in the eyes, especially when she hid a terrible secret like this.

She felt like Chaeyoung's life was thrown in a swamp because of her. But of course, Chaeyoung has no idea on what she's talking about.

"Irene, you don't have to say sorry. Choosing to be happy is not something you have to apologize for." Chaeyoung held Irene's shoulders that made the woman look at her.

Irene's tears is steaming like a river, and that surprised and caused panic to the younger woman. Chaeyoung swiftly wiped the unstopping flow of tears from Irene's face while asking what's wrong.

Irene knew it was time to tell the truth, to say everything that has been living on her conscience for a long time now. Maybe it was fate that they met again, that the universe brought Chaeyoung to her and it was to get the burden off her chest, to give the young woman the truth she deserves.

"It's not because of that Chae, it's about your wife, Momo."

There's a few weeks left before Irene and Seulgi's wedding that'll be held in Japan. Irene already left her agency after quitting her job as an actress, she payed a hefty sum but it was worth it. Because she's finally free and soon will be marrying the woman she really loved.

But she couldn't just leave. Not when she still hasn't invited her bestfriend, Momo. She would love to have the person who helped her be with Seulgi to be present as they make their vows, as she is the one who made it happen.

Momo was the one who organized their secret dates, gave her advice on being with the person that makes her happy and helped her run away with Seulgi. Though the intention was proven not to be that pure, she's still grateful for the Japanese woman. That much, she can accept

She's on her way now to Momo's office to hand the invitation to her, as the elevator stopped and she stepped out, she had the brightest smile on her face.

She's just a door behind the office when a voice stopped her from coming in, a sentence from a man that weakened her knees. She trembled in fear right at the spot, don't know what to do and can't move.

The exact sentence were, "If I have to kill that Myoui I would do that just to give you what you want. You have to wait Momo, you understand me?".

Those words caused Irene to cover her mouth in shock. Silence devoured the entire floor as Irene stood there, frozen. She could've stayed there for longer but she heard footsteps approaching her, coming from the office so she walked out of there as quiet as she could.

She took the stairs and got out of the building, praying to all the saints, wishing that no one saw her. As soon as she saw Seulgi infront of her parked car, she immediately fell into the embrace of the woman's arms.

There's something inside of Chaeyoung that is thumping so loud right now, there is a clenching pain along with it and her mind doesn't even know how to comprehend everything. Hearing is one thing, but processing the content of it is just harder than knowing.

She can't even cry, all she could do was stare at the skies and sigh. She wonders how satan hated her so much to bring hell into earth for her. This was worst than hell actually, this is worst than getting burned alive paying for something you've done. This is mental and emotional destruction, the greatest pain of all.

Momo did that? Who is that man? Is that her business partner? Who the fuck is her business partner? Why would she do that? Did I deserve it? Was it because my father hurted her in the past? Was it because I didn't fight for her? Was it because of love? Of greed? Of revenge?

She doesn't even know how to answer those bombarded questions in her head. But one question triumphs everything else, it was the most painful and regretting part of getting betrayed, because at this, she was at fault.

What about Mina?

The woman she loved, the woman she still loves and will love. She hurted Mina because of her rash decisions, of her lack of critical thinking, of her lack of comprehending the situation. She should've thought of the intentions first, she could've asked herself a millions of times before signing that damn sheet of paper.

But she didn't. She let the anger win against her, the pain, the toxicity. This was her fault that this was happening to her actually, it was her all along.

Changing the past is out of option now, but it's not too late to make everything right. It's not too late to call Mina.
