[47] If Only

A-ha's Take On Me echoed through the kitchen. It was Chaeyoung's ringtone and she could hear how Mina laughed at her for it.

"Don't laugh, it's my favorite song." She sulked to her girlfriend, Mina just shook her head as she hid a laugh under her breath and continued to cook Chaeyoung's pasta.

The younger woman went to pick up the call coming from an unregistered number. "Hello? Who is this?" She said, the line was silent. "Hey if this is a prank ca--"

/Chaeyoung./

A hoarse and tired voice of a woman was heard, Chaeyoung's eyes widened. She quickly made her way outside, making sure Mina wouldn't hear it.

"Momo, where are you?" Chaeyoung whispered, Momo already got it that probably Chaeyoung is with Mina.

/Are you with her?/

"Y-Yes. Where are you?"

/I can't tell you. I just called because the papers had been sent to my house, you divorced me Chaeyoung. Why?/

"It doesn't matter. Momo this is not you, please turn yourself in." Chaeyoung practically begged, but she knew Momo was already shaking her head on the other line.

/No, Chae I can't do that./

"You can still make this right, please Momo I'll help you."

/You can't./

Chaeyoung fell silent hearing the sobs coming from the older woman. She knows Momo is not that strong, she pretends to be but she isn't.

"Mo, that divorce doesn't mean that I'm taking you out of my life. I'm still here for you, I will always be here for you. I will help you just please, trust me on this one, hmm? Meet me at my old apartment, I can't talk to you any longer Yamada would find you. Throw the phone away Mo, I'll be there."

With that, Chaeyoung hanged up and turned her phone off. If Yamada finds out about this, she would probably be a part of the suspects list just for being in contact with Momo.

She went up their room and got changed, after that she went to Mina in the kitchen who's currently setting up her meal. The japanese shot her a confused look.

"Where are you going?" Mina asked, the younger woman went over to face her. Chaeyoung held Mina's shoulders and gave her a small box.

"I really shouldn't be giving you this now, but I'm not quite sure about the things that's about to happen." The rush was shown on the young woman's voice, Mina furrowed her brows. "Don't open it yet okay?"

The heaviness of her breathing reveals how nervous she is, and scared of all the bad possibilities. "I'm going to my old apartment in Kyoto. You know where that is right?"

Mina nodded. "Chaeyoung I'm getting lost here. What's happening? Why do you seem so nervous? Love, you're scaring me." Mina held her lover's face, Chaeyoung beamed out a smile for the woman infront of her.

"I'm meeting with Momo, I'll try to convince her to turn herself in." Mina immediately shook her head continuously mumbling the word "No." as she made her way to the door. She locked it and pressed her body onto it.

"You're not leaving Chaeyoung." She declared, Chaeyoung came closer to her and gently brushed her hair. "It's too dangerous I can't let you go. What if Jackson is there? What if he hurts you? What if--"

"Mina." She cut off the older woman. Chaeyoung pulled Mina into her embrace, a sigh left her lips as she held into the delicate body of her lover. "I have to make things right baby. I did this, this was all because of me. It was because of me that those two did it, I have to fix it."
