*The story will continue as a third person's POV starting from this point.
"Ma'am are you sure you wanted to associate yourself with that family? They made you miserable for like the half of your life. Will you be okay?" Her loyal secretary worriedly asked her boss.
But instead of getting worried over it, the woman smirked and took a sip of her wine, crossed her legs and comfortably leaned her back on her grand swivel chair, as if she wasn't bothered by it.
"That's why I'm doing this Ms. Kim, I will not let myself to be forever miserable like this. I have to take what's supposed to be mine." The sophisticated woman said. Her secretary couldn't do much about it, it looks like her boss is very persistent on doing this.
A few seconds of silence and a smile played on the woman's lips as she heard a knock on her door, thinking that it is the guess that she is expecting.
Her secretary made her way to open the door for the guest that had arrived and then excused herself out to give the privacy for the two.
The elegant older girl who had just entered, immediately took the seat in front of the woman and gave her a warm smile.
"Is that it unnie?" The woman pointed at the black small box that her guest had in her hand. Her company let out a chuckle.
"Not even giving me a greet?" The guest teased and the woman rolled her eyes on her.
"Oh come on girl, you are not worthy of it." The woman jested and they both laughed. They sure are close after spending a few months being best friends.
Well, this guest is actually just a part of the woman's long term plans, a plan to win her ex lover, Chaeyoung. But it looks like she had grown attached to the older woman, thinking that it is the only friend that she had after years of being alone.
"Are you sure about this?" The older woman asked, a little bit worried for her friend. She then finally handed the thing that the woman wanted from her, the ring.
"Oh dear, I'm more than sure. It's not like I'm stealing her away from anyone, she's single eversince you left." The woman grabbed the box and smiled at it as soon as she had it in her hands.
"Well, I guess not now, because it looks like that Chaeyoung had developed some feelings with the only daughter of the Myoui empire." The older girl tried to shake off the woman, but still, she looks so unfazed.
"Oh no darling. They will never end up with each other, it's impossible." She chuckled and stood up, the sound of her heels echoing in the entire room. "Chaeyoung can't have Mina, as how Mina can't have Chaeyoung." She confidently said as a smirk played on her lips.
"I guess you're right." The older woman briefly agreed and then stood up after. "I have to go now, Seulgi is waiting downstairs." The older woman bid goodbye.
"Thank you Irene." The woman said before the older girl left her alone in the office.
She turned her gaze on the beautiful night view of Seoul through the large window of her office.
She opened the box that was handed to her, the engagement ring that Chaeyoung gave to Irene just for formalities is now in her hands.
"I told you, I will never give you up Chaeyoung, never." She smiled to herself, her happiness is all over the place, thinking that in just a few days now, Chaeyoung will be hers.

"This is better!" Chaeyoung retorted and pouted at the older girl.
"No Chaeyoung that's too spooky. Choose this!" Mina argued but Chaeyoung just stomped her feet and frowned at her like a little kid.
"It's halloween Mina. It's fine to be a little spooky." Chaeyoung still tried to convince her on buying the bright dark purple beddings with the large face of pennywise imprinted on it. But Mina gave her a frightened look.
"A little? I can't even sleep with that. That looks like it'll summon all the nightmares Chaeyoung." They continued to argue like a married couple making the staffs laugh at them.
After a few minutes of bickering about the bedding set they would buy, they came upon the decision on buying the one that Mina chose. The plain mint green and white set of bed sheets and comforters plus the plaid pillow cases. Mina really liked it as soon as they came in.
And of course they bought it not in Chaeyoung's free will of course, she lost in the game of rock paper and scissors, and now she also had to buy Mina an ice cream as a part of the bet.
"Taste this." Mina shoved a spoonful of ice cream on Chaeyoung's mouth, because the girl is frowning eversince they got out of the shop. "Come on Chae, stop it." Mina flicked Chaeyoung's forehead that made the younger girl hissed in pain.
"That's not the way to tame a tiger Mina. It should've been a kiss. A kiss!" She shrieked, disappointed that her plan didn't turned out the way she wanted it.
'I thought every girlfriend kisses their lover when they're mad.' Chaeyoung thought, in reference to the drama that she watched.
"You're not a tiger, you're a cub Chaeyoung. A cub!" The older girl teased, and Chaeyoung was quick to tease her back by placing a peck on her lips.
Mina blushed and looked away, hiding her heating face from the younger girl.
"You look like a penguin living on the depths of a desert. I've never seen one who looks so red like you." Chaeyoung teased but the older girl was quick to kick her on the knees, and then ran away from her, giggling.
They run their way back home to the penthouse while laughing together and constantly teasing each other.
It had been like this for a few weeks, they're so happy. Even if Chaeyoung sometimes thought of what Mr.Myoui told her, she's just glad that it didn't happen. Maybe the guy was actually kind-hearted? Or maybe he doesn't actually have the guts to trample on someone? Chaeyoung doesn't even have a clue, and she doesn't care now because she's happy.
All those smiles from their lips was surely a great thing to treasure, but one thing that they don't know is that they gotta face the situation someday and somehow. They gotta face that fact that it was nearly impossible,
for them to be together.
