I leaned on the wall and crossed my arms as I watched her happily flap her feet, arranging her clothes in a vacant drawer in my closet.
I can see that widened gummy smile that she's wearing right now, like she was really happy that I let her stay here.
Yes, I let her stay here, but only for A MONTH, she promised that she'll find a job and leave after that, and I trust that Mina would keep her promise.
And why did I do that? Why the hell did I do that again? Maybe you'll do it too even for your enemy when she hits some deep conscience inside you.
And let me tell you, I'm weirded of myself too. Just hours ago I was really determined to get her out of my life, and now I'm fucking letting this happen. In everyway it's fucking weird to let your ex live with you for a month.
But what can I do? I torment myself too much on things like this. I'll die of thinking on what would've happened to her if I let her roam on the streets.
Mina is smart, but she's not that streetwise kind of smart. If you offer her to carry her bag she'll give it to you thinking that you're just a good person trying to help. That happened before, and I'm just worried that it might happen again.
When we were together, she was that person that needs a lot of care and protection. She doesn't even know how to cross the street and she doesn't know how to call a taxi or ride a bus. She always do everything with me, because she can't do things like that unless I'm with her.
So I really can't leave her alone in the streets, it can be awkard and it can be strange, I might become wary inside of my own house but atleast I know that she's safe.
"Did you eat dinner?" I asked her and she looked at me thinking at first before answering.
"I didn't but I'm on a diet so..."
"So what?" I said before pulling her up on the wrist, standing her up. "I don't care." I dragged her out and grabbed both of our coats on our way outside the house.
Mina had this habbit of not eating at night because she said her father always reminded her that she had to look firm and fit always. So I always have to force her to eat, it's one way or another.
At first I don't get why her father makes her do that, but when I grew up and learned about the society that I belong to, I realized that it's what rich people do, to brag about their childrens.
Talking about 'Oh Mr. Myoui your daughter is so sexy and beautiful'. Like what the fuck is that? Are you on a complementing show or something? Motherfuckers be kissing the richest person in the room's shoes to get the favor.
I'm just glad my parents aren't like that. They said do what you want to do, but I want you to study. It's not that bad actually, I'm so lucky to end up having them as my parents. I'm just scared to tell them that I love holding a brush better than holding a pen. I'm the only successor, that's why my mom wants me to study.
"I told you I'm on a diet." She said pouting, but I just laughed it off.
"Are you really telling me that after finishing three bowls of pho?" I said and pointed at the empty bowls infront of her. I can see her face turned red of embarrassment as she hid her face. "You said you're free from your father Mina. Isn't it time to do what you want, to eat what you want, to wear what you want and to live how you want?"
"It's just a habit Chaeng." She said, brushing it off before flashing a smile. "Come on, let's go for a walk." She said before dragging me out of the stall.
We walked the neighborhood for about ten minutes before deciding to go back home. When we reached the door of my penthouse I saw someone standing there.
"Chaeyoung." She said and looked at me before looking at Mina's hands that I never realized was wrapped around my arms.
"What are you doing here Sana?" I asked nicely, no need to cause a scene here, especially not infront of Mina.
"I was on my way to your house. I think I left my purse there last time." She said and I felt Mina removed her hands on me.
"I'll find it for you, wait out here." I said and made my way inside, focused on finding Sana's purse. I remember fetching out her hotel key card from that and put the purse back on the table, so it must be somewhere in the couch.
It didn't took that long to look for it so I rushed my way out to give it to her, but to my surprise, something controversial is happening outside. Three girls face to face, looking at each other with killing stares.
"Momo, what are you doing here?" I asked and she gave me a smile of joy. She made her way towards me and gave me a hug.
"I came here to talk to you. Your friend said you live in here." She said looking at me, resting her hands on my shoulder.
"Okay, Momo, but not here. Let's talk at the café across the street." She removed her arms around me and I turned to face Sana. "Here it is Sana. Just check if something is missing." I said and she took the purse out of my hand before mumbling a 'thank you', then I turned to Mina. "Go to sleep and don't wait for me. Lock the door okay?" I said and opened the door for her. She nodded at me before going inside looking so defeated, and I don't know why.
I then turned to Momo and we're about to step out when Sana held my hand.
"Can I tag along?" She asked looking at me with hooded eyes. I was about to answer when Momo beat me to it.
"Uhm, no miss." Momo said before dragging me into the elevator. I took a glimpse at Sana as the elevator closes and she had that look that Mina had earlier, she looks so defeated.
What the hell is happening in the world now?
