Z-so I know you live in Monaco and I'm sure you love it there but it's just not practical when MTC is based here in England so it would be allot more ideal for you to live close.

Y/n- yes I know it would I'm living with Alex Albon at the moment until I can find a place but it's hard and it's expensive for apartments here.

Z-ohh tell me about it, but that's what I brought you here for so...we understand your salary isn't the hottest at only 250k and it will be hard to afford a place. So we have decided to buy you and apartment while your working here, we have found you a place just half an hour away, i didn't want to tell you until it was finalised but the papers came this morning.

Z-no worries we couldn't have you flying over and back anyways. So just sign here and the place is yours...you won't be able to move in for a week however as it's being painted. I believe it's actually In the same complex as Alex.

I walk out of his office with a massive spring in my step. Im going to have my own place...for once. Ive never had my own place in Monaco I lived at home with my mum and Arthur. I couldn't wait to get to my home for now and have dinner with Lando...wait until he hears this he will be so happy for me.

I get into my car and call Arthur it almost rings out then he answers.

A~Y/n sorry I was upstairs I ran down as soon as I heard it ring, so tell me how was it.

That's what we used to do when we were traveling around in our early days of karting but after a few years we upgraded to a truck for some reason Arthur like the van better he said it made us look like amateurs when we arrived so people wouldn't be threatened by us when they first seen us and then when we hit the track they would be surprised. I suppose he had a point.

A-I was kinda nervous but you knew that, the others didn't realise it tho...but surprisingly it went really good I'm super happy and can't wait to get into it and work closely with them and in f2. I know I'm gonna have to pick up my game and train harder and spend less time gaming but it will be worth it. Now that you and Charles are in f1 I gotta make it too.

As I put the phone down I started the car and drove home. I was buzzing I couldn't believe what was happening. I pulled up in the car park and walked upstairs to Alex's apartment and walked in and flopped onto the couch I was so tired.

———Lando POV————-
As I walked down the path of MTC and to my car I wasn't really thinking about anything. I put my bags into the car and hopped in when I seen y/n's jacket on the seat...crap I forgot again ahh at least I was going to hers for dinner. Then I got that feeling again I don't know what it is but I kinda like it, I've never felt it before it's like butterflies but happy butterfly's not nervous ones. I pictured her walking up the stairs to the caffe she didn't dry her hair it was wet but straight it framed her face perfectly she was so naturally beautiful. I couldn't wait for tonight, i was happy she didn't want to go out somewhere fancy. I liked just chilling at home with good company it was way less pressure.

I got home and text her

L-hey y/n I'm just home now, I'm going to unpack my bag and get changed and nip to the shop and do a few jobs around the house I should be there in about two hours so about 6, see you then!

She didn't reply so I put my phone on charge and went upstairs. She must be busy but anyway I will see her later.
