I don't want to lose you

I wake up to see the bed empty beside me. Then I hear a bang downstairs. I get out of bed and walk down rubbing my eyes as I was still half asleep.

L-oh crap sorry y/n I didn't mean to wake you

Y/n-you didn't wake me it's okay I was just about to get up...what happened?

L-I tried to close the press gently but i closed it to hard by accident. I was making you breakfast.

I walk up behind him as he stands at the cooker watching the pan. I wrap my arms around him and lay my head on his shoulder.

Y/n-so what are you making?

L-my signature pancakes since you loved them last time.

Y/n-ohhh I can't wait...i will make us some coffee.

L-sounds good.

After breakfast we sit down on the chairs on the small balcony looking out at the view as the sun rose between the trees. It was the first morning it was warm enough to sit outside without needing a jacket.

L-so you excited for you first official day at Mclaren tomorrow?

Y/n-ye I can't wait I'm still a little nervous tho.

L-awh don't be you will be fine, you already know me, Jon, Charlotte and most importantly zak. Everyone else is super nice.

Y/n-I'm excited to try out the sim it looks savage.

L-ye it's pretty cool.

My phone rings. I run into the kitchen to see who it was. It was Arthur.

Y/n- Lando it's Arthur do you mind if I take this?

L-no not at all take your time.

I sit in the kitchen and answer the phone.

Y/n-hey Arthur how are u?

A-all good how are you?

Y/n-I'm brilliant.

I look over at Lando and he smiles and winks

A-I was wondering if you were free this weekend, mum wants to see you and so dose Charles and I, I know we have been talking on the phone but it's not the same as having you here.

Y/n-nope I don't have any plans...well Friday I'm getting the keys to my new apartment so I mean you could come and help me move into it ?

A-yes sounds perfect...

I could hear a Charles shouting in the background.

C-Arthur don't hang up wait lemme talk to her

Arthur hands the phone to Charles.

Y/n-hey Charles how are you?

C-all good, I heard about your new apartment...that's amazing!

Y/n-yes I know I'm so excited and I can't wait for you to all come this weekend.

C-yes it will be great to see you.

Y/n-is Charlotte coming ?

C-of course she can't wait to see you.

Charlotte was one of my best friends, even before her and Charles began dating.

Y/n-awhh that's great I miss her.

C-ye she misses you too and so dose mum, anyway we have to go, mam is waiting for us to meet her for breakfast.

Y/n-okay see you this weekend!!!

I put my phone back on charge and walk back out to Lando.

L-so they are coming to visit this weekend...exciting huh?

Y/n-yes I can't wait I miss them so much

L-yes I'm sure you do.

Y/n- omg I should have dinner Sunday in my new apartment and invite you, Alex and Obviously my family, I mean you haven't seen Charles and Arthur in ages and they won't suspect anything if I invite you after all you are my teammate and one Charles best friends.

L-ye that would be fun, god I can't remember the last time me Alex and Charles all met up together it will be great to finally have the group back together...and you and Arthur of course.

Y/n-nothing to fun because my mam will be there so we gotta keep the alcohol to a minimum.

L-okay boss

After chatting some more Lando and I head back in. Lando packs his stuff as he has to leave to see his parents and he should be gone before Alex gets back. He gives me a kiss and walks out of the apartment and down the hall. I really enjoyed myself this weekend, I can't believe that Lando and I are a thing now, like I know no labels or anything but at least we are something. It's going to be hard to keep it a secret tho, and what if it doesn't work...will it be awkward??

I spend the rest of the day relaxing and watching tv. I decided to go to bed early as I wanted to be fresh for tomorrow, my first official day at Mclaren. Just as I was going up the stairs to go to bed the front door opens.

A-IM HOMEEEE!!!

I run back into the kitchen and hug Alex

Y/n-I missed you, how was your weekend?

A-ohh pretty chill just went for dinner and hung out at home with the fam, how about you did u do anything exciting??

Y/n-nope just chilled here and went for a few walks...nothing special. Ohhh actually Arthur called me this morning and said him Charles Charlotte and mum are coming to visit this weekend!!

A-wow that's great I know how much you have missed them, I can't wait to catch up with them too.

Y/n-ye it will be fun, I was thinking I should have you, my family and Lando over for dinner Sunday in my new apartment. I'm sure Lando will want to catch up with you and Charles.

A-ye sounds like a plan...i forgot about you moving out, it's going to be weird being on my own.

Y/n- Alex my new apartment is in the same building Im not going to the far side of England.

A-ye that's true I suppose.

Y/n-anyway im really tired so im going to go to bed now I gotta be on top form tomorrow for my first official day at Mclaren
