*a few weeks later*

I wake up and get a start on breakfast so it would be ready for when lando gets back from his run. As the weeks flew past my due date was getting closer and closer...it was exciting but also nerve wracking. I crack the final egg into the pancake mixture and just as I start to stir it all together the door opens.

I see landos bright red face covered in beads of sweat which were dripping from his hair also.

L-good morning babe

He comes over to hug me but I take a step back

Y/n-no hugs until you get into the shower, I don't want to smell

L-ok ok

Y/n-breakfast will be ready in five so make it quick

L-sure will

He leans in and kisses me then walks up the stairs. Just as the bathroom door closes there is a knock on the apartment door. I walk over and peek through the small glass circle to see who it was. It was my mum.

I open the door and before I could say a word she gives me the strongest hug ever.

Y/n-Ehm good morning

M-good morning darling, where is lando

Y/n-the shower, what brought you here

M-just wanted to say hello and wish lando goodluck for this weekend

Y/n-oh ye he is so excited, I am too

M-yes it will be great to have a couple weeks off to just relax and enjoy yourselves

Y/n-exactly, the last few weeks have been hectic

I walk back over to the kitchen and continue making breakfast while chatting to my mum. I hear the door open and landos footsteps coming down the stairs.

M-hello lando

L-oh hey, great to see you

He gives her a hug and sits down beside her. They sit on the stools opposite the island where I was cooking.

L-do you need any help babe?

Y/n-no I'm all good, almost finished...mum you want some?

M-no thanks I'm going to breakfast with Hugo in half an hour

L-ah that's great, how are you both

M-really good thankfully, are you excited for this weekend lando?

L-oh yes I'm so excited I can't wait but it's also allot of pressure as I want to go into the summer break on a good note

M-oh I'm sure you will be fine, you've been amazing all season long

Y/n-ye she is right you've been incredible I'm so proud of you

I hand him the pancakes and a bowl of fruit

L-thank you

M-so you excited for the baby...it's getting close now

L-so excited...so so so excited it's crazy that we will actually be parents

M-yes it's a weird feeling but it's amazing

Y/n-of course it's amazing I mean look at the kids you were GIFTED with

M-trust me you three were hard work when you were younger, just you wait until the baby can walk

L-why?

M-once they walk they don't stop...like ever, y/n was the most energetic kid I've ever seen and it was hard to keep an eye on her all the time because she was mental and had zero regard for her safety
