Damirae/demonbirds one shots

Flashpoint

This one is set after Apokolips War in the new timeline. I realised that flash basically just has to go back a little bit so yeah Damian and Raven would probably still have feelings for each other. Enjoy.

"Damian can we talk?"

Damian had been in the training room for 2 hours now and he was not really in the mood for talking. After a meeting with the Justice League, the Flash had revealed future events. Darkseid would conquer Earth for 2 years, friends would die.

What really had Damian though was the fact that Flash had revealed that him and Raven were together. They actually confessed their feelings for each other. Of course he has feelings for her now and she must feel the same way if that is the future but he's still afraid to tell her. Why? He does it in the future, he should just do it.

"Damian?!" Raven's voice snapped him out of his training. As he turned off the simulation he approached her, slowly. The news must have thrown her off as well as him.

"Sorry, I was just thinking." She knew what he was thinking about. He was thinking the same thing and if someone doesn't say something soon they will both avoid each other and it will be awkward.

"About what Flash said, about us in the future?" Damian nodded. He proceeded to avoid eye contact with her. He was nervous, he was never nervous but when it came to her he was definitely nervous.

"Raven," he placed both hands on her shoulders and finally found her bright amethyst eyes. They are beautiful and he can't help but be hypnotised by her beauty. "What he said... I-I do have feelings for you. I know that the future says we're together but this is now. Even before all of this I felt this way... I'm in love with you."

Raven's eyes widened, she was still processing the information. He is in love with her, she is in love with him. She cupped his face in her hand and caressed his cheek with her thumb until they came closer to each other. Then closer, then closer until their lips met. They kissed, almost the same way they did before flashpoint.

After pulling away they both wore a great smile on their faces. Pure, genuine smiles.

"I'm in love with you too. I have been for a while... but after hearing all of that stuff Flash said, I thought that maybe I'd have a chance to say this to you and maybe even be with you." Damian was surprised at her confession. She had felt the same way before Flash's news too. But also hearing that they did get together meant they actually had a future with each other.

"Well, you do. We can be together... If that's what you want I mean." Raven laughed at his nervous behaviour and kissed him once again. This time it was more passionate and loving more than anything.

"Does that mean yes?" She chuckled. She forgot that he is so formal. He would actually need an answer.

"Yes Damian, that's a yes." As they both smiled at each other they went in for another kiss. They were together, they were in love with each other, they have a future together. All of this came as a surprise to both of them. Yet they welcomed it as they were happily in love with one another.

Meanwhile the rest of the team were staring at a security monitor showing what had just happened and Nightwing was screaming in excitement as the others clapped.

The lovebirds didn't know nor did they need to. They were just enjoying the moment. Whatever the timeline they would be together.
