What the hell?

So... it had come to this it seemed. The thing that Damian had been expecting for a long time now. Two years in fact. That's right, he saw this day coming a mile away. Ever since he decided to ask her.

The beautiful creature approaching him. Dressed in the purest and exquisite thing he had ever seen in his life. A dress so long that it could cover the entire hall.

Raven approached him with a wide smile and bouquet in her hands. She looked like an angel, a demon who had become an angel. Her eyes never veering away from her very soon to be husband, Damian.

They had this whole idea a year and a half ago. Things happened between that time of course. It would've happened sooner if Damian hadn't gotten nervous to the point of throwing up every time he thought of proposing.

The reason it took them so long was due to many reasons. Damian had gone on a long and tedious journey with his father and came back with a thief who ended up being Catwoman, long story.

Raven had been summoned by other magicians including Dr Fate. Apparently there was some weird stuff going on in the multiverse and they needed her help to fix it. She wasn't very happy about that; it turned out to be an easy fix that was solved by the most simplest of spells. More of her time wasted.

They had the initial planning to do as well. It was all a bit much for the couple. Superhero lives conflicted with normality too much. They decided to take a break and commit to normality for a while. Once they got the planning done, they returned.

Now here they were. After one and a half years since the proposal, they were finally getting married.

As Raven stood opposite Damian, she smiled in an excited and also nervous way. Damian was the same, until their smiled became ones of adoration and love. Damian had to resist just saying 'I do' then and there to take her away and spend all night celebrating their marriage. He wanted to scoop her up and take her back to their house and live as husband and wife. Soon, he told himself.

"We are here to celebrate the marriage between Damian Wayne and Raven Roth. It is with great price and joy that I can say I have seen no other people more suited for each other than the two of you. I truly am happy for you both." Alfred said. He had always been supportive of their relationship and it was brilliant to him that they were taking this step.

"Since when can Alfred get people married?" Dick whispered to Bruce in the audience (audience? 😂).

"He gained the right after he got permission to do mine and Selina's wedding." Bruce quietly explained.

"Now, I believe it is time for the vows. Master Damian, would you like to go first?" Alfred asked. Damian simply nodded without averting his eyes from Raven.

"Raven, from the moment I met you I felt something. With every day that feeling would grow and grow, like a blossoming flower." He took a deep breath, composing himself. "Then when I finally confessed that I love you and you felt the same, I thought I was under a hallucinating drug." Raven laughed at Damian. Jokes weren't really a thing with others around with him so it was nice to see. "I have said it a million times and, I'd say it a million times again and again, I love you, more than any single thing in existence. You are amazing in every single way and I wanna spend my life knowing that I am the luckiest man in the world, Habibti." Damian finished.

Raven already had tears emerge from her eyes whilst maintaining her bright smile. She couldn't keep her eyes off him, not after he said all that as well.

"Miss Raven?" Alfred asked. Raven also just nodded and kept eye contact.

"Damian, since I was little I was able to cast most of the spells I know now. How to do all these different things, how to protect and how to harm. The only thing I never figured out was the spell that was love. That was until I met you." She saw Damian's smile widen slightly and his face soften and repeat more than she'd ever seen it before. "I found love once I met you and it was probably one of the best moments of my life. I cannot believe how lucky I am and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life as your wife. I love you, more than you can ever imagine. Hiyati." Raven ended.

"What the hell?" Jason whispered as he pointed at Damian. The young man was crying tears of joy and had to use all his strength to not run into Raven's arms.

As the rings were placed on each other's fingers, they held each other's hands and intertwined their fingers. The smiles still there.

"Do you, Damian Wayne, take Raven Roth to be your wife?" Alfred asked. Already knowing the answer.

"I do." Damian said confidently.

"Do you, Raven Roth, take Damian Wayne to be your husband?"

"I do." Raven stated.

"Well I'll bore you no longer. You may kiss the bride."

Damian and Raven jumped at each other in an eager and passionate kiss before Alfred could even finish.

The applause was loud but welcoming.

The two smiled and leaned their foreheads against each other while letting their tears roll down their cheeks.

"Finally." Damian muttered to her.

"Finally." Raven also stated.

"Habibti."

"Hiyati."

They both said. Their love on display for all to see.
