He didn't do it. He didn't do it. She could never believe he'd do such a thing. He was past that. He had become a better man.
Raven read over the news report for the hundredth time. She couldn't believe what it said, she wouldn't believe it. She knew better than the stupid people who believed this stuff.
'10 people found murdered by Robin.'
Raven didn't even think about believing it. She and Damian had been married for six months and had dated for three years before that. She even knew him before that when they were just friends for two years. She knew him better than anyone else. He was her soulmate.
The door unlocked and a pretty chill Damian walked through. He had brought home some food which always made Raven happy. Usually there'd be a cake involved for her.
"Welcome home, Honey." Raven greeted. She walked up to him and embraced him in a warm hug, making her and Damian smile.
"Thanks. Brought you a cake as usual, Raven." Damian responded before giving her a long kiss.
"At this rate I'm gonna get fat." Raven joked.
"I know you're joking, but you'll always be perfect to me. Besides, your powers use up so much energy that I think it's impossible." Damian replied. He always knew how to comfort Raven in difficult situations or something like that. That's why she felt he should know what's happened, he clearly hadn't seen the news.
"Have you checked the news? I think you should have a look." Raven said to him seriously. Of course she knew he hadn't done anything like that, but something like this could get his angry side out.
"What the fuck?!" Damian said after her read the article on his phone. He looked confused and angry.
Raven placed her hand on his cheek in an attempt to calm him down. He did just that, but he looked at her with a saddened and confused look. He was like a child who didn't know what had happened when it was something bad.
"I know it wasn't you." Raven confidently stated.
Damian just bowed his head down and sat down at the sofa (or couch). He held his head in his hands and tried to think of anything else.
Raven followed him down and took his head in her arms. She stroked his hair and his face while occasionally giving him a kiss on the head. It wasn't long until he was laying with his head in her lap.
"I didn't do it." Damian suddenly stated. Raven just looked at him and kept stroking.
"I know." Raven replied, honestly.
"I need to find who did tho and get him to confess."
"You need to wait until things die down first; Robin will be on everyone's hit list, including the police." Raven reasoned.
"They can't catch me."
"That's not the issue. If they see you run from them they'll assume the worst. People are ignorant like that. You know that." Raven explained.
Damian knew she was right. She always seemed to be right... or he gave in.
Damian needed to stay at home for a while. Thankfully he could spend more time with Raven. Though they were both superheroes still, Raven was a lot less active than Damian.
They moved into that house after one year of dating and it was incredibly comfortable. Damian used some of his Wayne money and charms to get it, but even Raven put in a lot of money for it.
It wasn't too big nor too small. Perfect for a kid or two. That conversation was yet to come up as of yet, however.
Damian stayed at the house for three weeks before going out as Robin again. He found out that Jason had accidentally framed Damian by using his old Robin suit as his was damaged.
Both Raven and Damian were furious about it and ended up getting him to clear Damian's name as well as beating him senseless. He made sure not to do that's again.
"Damn Todd." Damian said with gritted teeth as he and Raven went to bed.
Raven climbed in next to him and the two wrapped their arms around each other. Raven had come down with an obsession for stroking Damian's hair. He was fine with that and often welcomed it.
"It's alright now. You know how idiotic your brothers are." Raven said with a smirk.
"Yeah. Thank you for believing in me and helping me, Beloved." Damian said with a genuine smile.
Raven leaned in and kissed him slowly whilst keeping a warm smile on her face.
"You're welcome. That's what a wife does for her husband."
"I'd do the same for you. Know why?"
"I can guess." Raven smirked once again.
"Because I love you, Habibti." Damian said genuinely.
"I love you too, Hiyati" Raven said with a returned, genuine smile as they kissed again.
