Don't wanna fight

Raven couldn't believe her eyes. She couldn't accept what she saw in front of her. It was the last thing she wanted to see happen to him...

Damian had been brainwashed.

It was all so sudden. One minute she and him were on a date separate from Kori's typical mandatory fun. The next minute she had been blinded and knocked unconscious with no Damian insight. She remembers seeing him pass out before she went out. Her eyes recovering just enough to make that out.

She was left an anonymous letter and invited to Nanda Parbat. There she met Talia Al Ghul. Damian's mother. She had somehow survived the crash that Damian said she was in and decided to try and take her son away. Raven was not going to let that happen.

Once she got there, she found him and he pulled his sword out on her. He looked different. His assassin uniform was on and his eyes had lost their emerald green, replaced with a crimson red. His expression was that of anger. He looked like he wanted to kill Raven.

She had to try and get to him. He was not himself. Talia openly admitted to brainwashing him or 'cleansing' his mind as she put it. Raven very quickly portaled Nightwing to contend with Talia while she dealt with Damian.

He slowly approached, it's as if he knew she was going to try something. Damian dashed forward and Raven managed to dodge out of the way. Even just one year of dating made Damian confess how to beat him. This was different though; he was serious, even if he was pretty slow compared to normal.

"Damian, it's me! It's Raven!" Raven pleaded. Still she was retreating from him. He took a run up and tried to slash across her face. It looked like he hadn't fully stretched his arms out. If he had he would've reached.

"I don't know you..." Damian said quietly. His eyes were dark and he looked at Raven again with murderous intent.

"Listen to my voice, Dami. It's Raven. This isn't you. I know you and I know you're in there somewhere." Raven said. She was trying her best and Damian seemed to just be getting faster. What the hell happened to him?

"Shut up! You don't know me!" Damian shouted. He was really pissed now. It still looked like, despite his increased speed, he was holding back. Something was clearly fighting him.

"I do! I've known you a long time! We have fought together, we read together... we do everything together." Raven said. She was getting desperate here. It was like she was shattering her own self to get him back. She would gladly do it if it meant he would come back. Only he could fix her.

"I... I-I know you." Damian whispered. Raven just about heard it. He wouldn't stop attacking but, he was slowing down again.

"We go on dates, we kiss. You make me feel alive. You make me feel whole. I can't do any of this without you. You mean too much to me... I love you." Raven tearfully confessed. At the moment her sentence was finished, Damian's sword came an inch from her neck as she stopped moving. The blade began to shake and Raven could see the tears in his now emerald eyes. The eyes she loved so much.

"I... I love you too. Raven. I'm sorry." Damian said as he collapsed to the floor. He began to weep and cry like a little boy. Raven kneeled down and quickly scooped him into her arms. He had come home. Raven had managed to bring him back.

"Shhh. It's ok, it's ok." He continued to cry as Raven stroked his hair and cradled him in her arms. She kissed him on the cheek and moved to kiss him on the lips. "You don't have to be sorry, Dami. I'm here ok? I'm here."

"Raven. I love you so much." Damian sobbed out. He was really crying like a little boy. Like someone who had just lost something. Raven was fine and so was he. He had nothing to be sorry for and he was back. That's all that mattered.

"I love you too, Dami. So much. I'm so glad you're back." Raven herself sobbed out. She began to cry with him and just sat their crying with him for a couple of minutes.

Nightwing had caught Talia and Damian made sure to give her his best punch to the face. He wanted to kill her of course but, he knew better now.

They returned to the tower and Damian and Raven returned to their usual life. Damian ended up taking Raven to the roof to present a special announcement. Or ask a special question.

"...Raven, will you marry me please? Make me fully come back." Damian asked nervously and shaking.

"Yes! Yes I will marry you, Dami. Of course I will!" Raven screamed.

She nearly lost him to his mother's brainwashing but, now she had him forever in her arms. By her side. They engaged in a passionate kiss that made them both feel the need to take it back to their room. The two sealed a pact that they never wanted, nor would, break.
