One Day

Sunshine was a rare occurrence at this time. It was like seeing a day without rain in England, not happening very often. Yet this sunshine was becoming more and more common. Seeing it shine through her windows have Raven a positive feeling about the day.

Lazily rising from her slumber, Raven began to emerge from her bed and make her way to the door.

Like usual, she was hungry enough to eat her 3 courses a day all at once. She just could not stop using so much energy anymore.

As she made her way into the kitchen of the Titans Tower, she was greeted by the warm smile of Kori. Unfortunately too, Kori's cooking. Raven couldn't tell if it was scrambled egg or an octopus. It wasn't good.

"Good morning, Raven." Kori warmly greeted with a wide smile.

"Good morning, Kori." Raven replied, trying to take her eyes off the "food".

"Am I the first one awake?" Raven asked as she looked around the room.

"No. Damian has been up for the past three hours training." Kori replied.

"It's seven o'clock. He's been training since four in the morning? Wasn't he on patrol last night too?" Raven replied surprisingly.

"You know Damian. He is your best friend, shouldn't you tell him to take it easy." Kori inquired.

"That doesn't really matter in this situation. Damian is Damian. And Damian trains in a stupid way." Raven stoically replied.

"Mm, true. Suppose he's used to it."

Raven grabbed a mug and filled it full of earl grey tea, getting ready to really start the day. She could feel it was gonna be the normal day she had all the time. Nothing special to go on.

She remembered the last time they had something special happen was about six months ago. Things had changed quite a bit then, but it wasn't something she found hard to get used to.

Whilst getting ready to leave the kitchen, Raven noticed a bruised and battered Dick walk through the door. Stumbling his way towards Kori who looked with a hint of surprise.

"What the hell happened to you?" Kori asked.

"Damian said he wanted to see if he was much stronger than our last fight. It hurts to say, he might be stronger than me now." Dick explained.

"Can't imagine that's all that hurts." Raven said humorously as she sipped her tea.

"He wants to see you by the way." Dick said.

"Okay." Raven said before finishing her tea and standing up.

"Just 'okay'?! Have you seen what he did to me?!" Dick asked in a panic.

"Yep. You're a mess. See ya." Raven nonchalantly commented as she walked out of the room.

Heading towards the training room, Raven thought about how much Damian must train and whether she could get him to relax or not. Knowing him though it was very unlikely.

As she walked through the door, she saw a stoic Damian look over to her and smile. That smile always did have a different affect on her.

Raven made her way over to him with a smile of her own. Slowly walking to him whilst trying to maintain eye contact.

"Damian. You wanted to see me?" She asked.

Damian just took her hand and pulled her in for a tight embrace. One she was shocked to receive, but quickly melted into.

Separating for a moment, they looked each other in the eyes and widened their smiles.

Damian approached further, seeking a kiss. One which Raven was trying to resist.

"If they see the camera footage they'll find out." Raven asked while hovering her face near his.

"I turned them off. No one will see us." Damian said.

"Oh. Good." Raven said before jumping into Damian and kissing him with intensity.

Damian matched her and even hoisted her up so she was wrapping her legs around him. It was perhaps getting too heated for the training room.

"Your room or mine?" Damian asked quickly.

"Yours. I was alone last night in my bed. I wanna be in yours." Raven said, opening a portal.

"Sorry. I'll make it up to you." Damian replied.

"Oh I know." Raven said with a laugh.

Around one hour had passed and there they laid, undressed and in each other's arms. Damian slowly stroking Raven's back. Whilst Raven rested her head on his chest.

"I don't like keeping this a secret." Raven suddenly said.

"Me neither." Damian replied.

"It makes it feel like we're just having casual sex. But.., I love you and I want this to feel more normal." Raven confessed.

Damian simply smiled down at her as she looked up at him. He kissed her forehead and slightly pulled her in further.

"I love you too. Believe me I want people to know, but... I don't know. Be bad just having Grayson know about it and he's annoying enough as it is." Damian responded.

Raven laughed and snuggled up to Damian further.

"One day. One day, My Love."

"On day, Habibti. Soon."
