Date night

"That was a rather bizarre movie."

"I liked it."

"It didn't have the best acting."

"Yeah but they made up for it with the story."

Damian and Raven were on date night. This didn't usually happen for the young couple seeing as their usual date nights consist of beating up bad guys and getting pretty badly injured.

Fortunately, crime was very low that night and the two decided to have a change and act like a normal couple. They were just going to read or something in their room but they wanted something different.

So when they went to go to the cinema and watch a random film they had no idea about, the team was very surprised. Kori, on the other hand, was very supportive and wished the two a good time.

Damian particularly enjoyed the time with Raven and honestly wasn't bothered about the film at all. He noticed that she was quite flustered for most of the time until after the film. It was easy to understand that this was different and not ordinary but it was nice.

Raven also enjoyed her time and liked to see Damian relaxed for once. He only ever became like that when they would be in their room or something. Now he was fully relaxed and Raven swore she could sense him looking at her a lot through the film. Not that she was bothered, she liked it.

"Are you cold?" Damian asked, pulling Raven back to the present. It was a winter's night and her being half demon meant she had to wrap herself in clothes. She was the complete opposite in the summer and she assumed she was that way because of her time in hell with her father.

"A little." Raven never liked to be any sort of burden but she loved it when Damian was worried or concerned about the small things.

"Here, wear this as well." Damian said passing his coat to her. He knew she'd resist but he was a major competitor for stubbornness.

"I'm ok, it's not that bad." There it was.

"I insist."

"No, I'm fine, really."

"Raven..."

"Damian..."

"Take the god damn coat or I will put it on you myself." Damian threatened. Raven just rolled her eyes and smiled before wrapping the coat around herself. She then leaned her head on Damian's shoulder and relaxed, which made Damian smile. They definitely had some perks being pretty much the same height.

"Aren't you cold, Dami?" Raven asked. She liked being the only one to call him that and she was really loving the normal couple thing they were trying. She knew it wouldn't last forever but one day they would be like this.

"No, I'm fine. Growing up in snowy mountains has a few benefits." Damian rarely talked about his past to Raven. She had seen it all when she looked in his head after healing him. It was a sensitive topic for him and even getting a reference or one sentence about it was rare.

Raven just nodded and carried on walking. Their fingers intertwined with each other. Raven really did love this. This kind of life. She wanted to live like this, with Damian, with no danger, with no worry. But she had to see what Damian thought. They were only 17 as well so they weren't even adults yet.

"Dami?"

"Mmm?"

"What do you think about this?"

"About what? Being away from Gar is great, yes, but I don't think you're talking about that."

Raven laughed. He very rarely made a joke either and there he was smiling at her while she was laughing.

"No not that, though that is true. I mean... this sort of life. The... normal life. You know where we just live together, go out together, all that."

"Oh..." Damian had obviously thought about this too and he had to admit it was great. He loved the idea of a normal life with Raven. He just didn't know how to have that.

"I... I love it. I think it's great, a normal life with you... it seems nice and I want it." Damian confessed. Raven was surprised he was so blunt with actually admitting he wants it. She did too but she didn't want to say that in fear of his rejection. Even after 1 year of dating she was afraid of his rejection, only to be rid of that fear in every situation.

"M-me too. I really wanna have that sort of life with you." Raven said with her head down, embarrassed.

"Then let's do it."

"What?" Raven asked as she looked at him.

"Let's do it. Have a normal life together."

"Damian, are you... are you sure?"

"Of course I am. I love you, Raven and I wanna be able to have a life with you. And for it to be a normal one would be great. I'd be so happy."

Raven smiled at him and leaned in to kiss him as she caressed his cheek.

"Ok, let's do it! I love you."

There their life as a normal couple again. They bought a small-ish house together 3 months later and ended up being emergency superheroes for seriously dangerous situations, which never really happened.

They enjoyed their life like this for 2 years before getting married and bringing 2 twins into the world. They honestly couldn't be happier.

Needless to say that date night was always and important night for the two of them.

I keep writing these at gone midnight and I honestly don't know why 😂. My eyes have made many mistakes happen for me to fix 😂
