"Raven!"
It was hopeless so far. Raven had lost control of her powers. Even after Trigon had died a year ago, her power still proves too much for her to handle at times. Her only anchor to reality being him.
Damian was determined to do whatever it took to help Raven. Defeating Trigon along with the Justice League being one of them. Confessing his feelings for her that day was the other. Trigon was gone, she had no reason to refuse the man she loves anymore. Trigon always made love an impossibility for her, but now she was free to be with him.
That was until a new enemy emerged. This one was unnamed and mysterious, but she proved to be a problem for Raven. She was just as powerful as Raven and had complete control over her power.
At one point the fight was basically a lost cause. There was no real reason to fight. Until Raven unleashed her full power and defeated her. The consequences were that she lost control and begun attacking her teammates. She even attacked Damian.
Whilst they were unharmed, they didn't even bother fighting her. Firstly, she was their teammate and they cared for her. Secondly, she was too powerful to contend with.
Damian was not going to give up however, he evacuated the streets and, seeing as the other Titans were not going to fight, he had them protect the civilians. They explained the situation to the people who seemed to understand for the moment.
Damian approached Raven, her four red eyes looking at him sinisterly. She clenched her fists and looked like she was about to attack. Damian was ready and avoided the beam that emerged from her hand. The beam instead hitting the building behind them, blowing the wall through and leaving the other side of the building. She wasn't messing around.
"Raven, listen to me." Damian said calmly whilst still approaching. His hands up in a form of surrender.
"Listen? To you? Ha, like hell! You are nothing compared to me, Damian!!" Raven stated arrogantly and angrily.
"You're not wrong. I am pathetic next to you. Know why? Because you're amazing, Raven." Damian confidently stated. Raven's expression softened slightly, but maintained an aura of seriousness as she held her hand up to fire another beam.
"I never deserved you. You are kind, loyal, strong and beautiful. I could never deserve someone like that." Raven's expression turned to confusion as Damian continued. "Even so, I want you! I want you, Raven! Come back to me, please! I love you and I want to make you happy!" Damian confessed.
Raven's expression softened even more. Almost a look of sadness. Until she went back to her angry, serious expression. She clenched her teeth and charged up a large amount of energy for her next beam.
"You wanna make me happy?! Then die!!" Raven shouted. Her beam had launched and it was as if time had slowed down.
Damian just stood there with his eyes closed and his arms out. He welcomed the blow and accepted his fate. He would be killed by Raven and she would still have his love.
The beam hit and Damian screamed in pain. Raven's lost her two extra eyes and looked on in shock of what she was doing. She quickly stopped her beam and held her hand over her mouth. She began to run toward Damian, catching him in her arms. He was not breathing.
"Damian! No, no, no, Damian! Damian, please, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean..." Raven cried out to him, but he would not wake up. His heart rate was slowing down.
Raven poured all her power into healing him as she cried over his body. Her grip around him tightening as she weeped.
"Can't. Breathe." She heard. Her eyes went wide open and she pulled away enough to see Damian's face as he smiled. She cried loudly and held him again. Damian simply smiled and pulled her against him tightly.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Dami! I... I'm the one who doesn't deserve you. I didn't mean it..." Raven again weeped. She clung onto him like a life buoy and wouldn't let go.
Damian quickly pulled her into a kiss that caught her by surprise, but she melted into it and put her hands on his cheek, deepening the kiss.
"It's ok. I don't care. I just care that you're back, that you've come back to me. I don't care if we don't deserve each other I want to be with you; I love you." Damian passionately affirmed.
Raven was moved to even more tears and she even saw some come out of Damian's eyes. "I want to be with you too; I love you! So much!" Raven exclaimed.
Raven helped Damian up as she was warmly welcomed back by the rest of the team. They were even shedding tears having witnessed the situation.
They retreated back to the tower, Damian being bed bound for two weeks. Raven bed bound herself with him and wouldn't let go of him. Not that Damian would let go of her either.
Raven slowly gained control over her powers with Damian's support and they finally managed to live a life together without the fear of hurting one another. Without the feeling of undeserving.
