Oh my god what? Another one? I know I bet you like the consistency. Well I have some news, it may be good or may be bad depending on your view but, I am going to try this consistency with my 2 stories that are currently going on. Obviously this will mean these will be put on hold again unless I feel like updating. This probably won't begin till next week but I hope you like it 👍🏻.
"You still have a fever. No getting out of bed."
"I feel fine. I need to train, crime doesn't rest and there are other things to do."
"If you're referring about date night don't worry about it. It's fine."
"It's not fine! I don't wanna let you down, I'd be a bad boyfriend."
"I told you it's fine. Now stay there; I'm getting you a soup."
Damian had come down with a very high fever one night after patrol. Raven had never felt him so hot in her life. It was actually pretty scary for a while. His brother, Dick said that Damian had never been sick since he's known him. He swore he'd never even heard Damian with a blocked nose.
Raven was happy to look after him. She honestly didn't care if they had to skip date night. It didn't matter to her. She'd rather help Damian get better and be a good girlfriend. Unfortunately he was very insistent he wasn't ill. She thought he'd notice it more if it was so rare for him to get sick, but no.
Stopping by the kitchen in the Titans Tower, Raven began to ponder on what had caused this illness. It was possible for Raven to carry a sickness but she herself never got seriously ill due to her demonic heritage.
She was half certain he picked it up on patrol from some junky he had to take down. Then again, this was a less than ordinary temperature for a simple cold or flu.
She honestly didn't know but she wasn't going to spend all day thinking about it. It had happened, that was that. Nothing can change that.
Raven returned with some soup and saw Damian laying on the floor, groaning. I'm all the 3 years she'd been friends with him, plus the 8 months they'd been a couple, she'd never seen him in such a state. She couldn't tell if she felt bad or not. He did defy her so she decided she'd feel... a little bad for him.
"Damian, what did I say?" Raven asked in s teasing tone, setting the soup down on the bedside table.
"That you only call me, Damian, and not, Dami, when you're not happy with me?" Damian answered into the floor. God he was sick a teenager and he was 18. It's funny how the height of his father didn't get passed on, leaving him a centimetre taller than Raven. At least he was taller than Garfield now.
"That's true but what else?"
"I have to wear a condom so you don't get pregnant and potentially end the world without being ready."
Raven's eyes popped out at that one. This sickness was making him strange. It was actually pretty amusing for Raven but she actually prefers the normal Damian.
"Damian!"
"Not to get out of bed, are you happy comrade Stalin?" Damian retorted. Raven was unimpressed at the Stalin joke. He gave better insults to Gar. Though this was funny.
"We'll done. Come on, get back into bed." Raven said picking him up and putting him into bed. He looked terrible. He was as pale as her and still felt really hot.
Raven sat there feeding him the soup which made him look and feel a bit better. Raven had to say she liked doing this; Damian was very cooperative and thanked Raven a lot when she fed him.
Eventually Damian dozed off and began a light sleep. Light because once Raven got up to leave him alone for a bit, he stopped her with his hand in hers. Raven looked back, surprise written all over her face after he said what he did.
"Don't leave me. Not like all the others... I'm cold, help me." His voice was very sad and quiet. Raven could never say no to that. That was the first time she'd seen him like that. He was a like a child.
A tear brimmed on both their faces and Raven wiped them away once she was with him in the bed. He said he felt normal when she was cuddling him. She loved him so much that she would hold him forever if he asked. He clung to Raven like never before, eager to keep her there which made Raven smile.
She wasn't going anywhere.
On the verge of sleep, Damian managed to let out one last sentence before dozing off.
"I love you, my sweet, loving, kind, sexy girlfriend." His voice becoming a whisper throughout the sentence until he finally fell asleep.
Raven was close herself. She always slept so well when they were cuddling. They emphasised that as being a need for their own place which they were looking into.
"I love you, you idiot." Raven whispered with a laugh. The two were then asleep and completely unaware that Superboy had snapped a photo and sent it all over the Titans group.
He would be careful when Damian woke up.
