They lay together on his bed, comfortably wrapped in Lucifer's wings. They provided warmth and the feeling of safety.

It was the first time Chloe consciously sensed them on her skin. The other time she had been unconscious, while Lucifer had protected her from Pierce and his henchmen.

Chloe could barely describe the feeling. It was more than just warmth, more than safety. A feeling of belonging, a wholeness she had never thought to experience.
