The sunlight that peered through Y/n's bedroom window, softly grazed her face, waking her up from her slumber. With a yawn she sits up and stretches, raising both her arms above her head. She wiped the sleepiness from her eyes and slopped her hand back down on the bed. But instead of it meeting the soft mattress, it landed on something hard. Y/n turns her head and looks down at her hand, she failed to hold back a gasp at what she saw.

Dabi, sleeping next her. She couldn't believe her eyes, for the first time ever, Dabi actually stayed with her. Y/n wordlessly moved her hand up to Dabi's sleeping face, careful to not wake him up, lightly stroked his cheek. Even with a scarred up face and body, she still found him handsome. She gently rubbed her thumb across his jaw, the burnt skin felt rough and dry under her touch, and yet didn't faze her, it never did. Dabi had no control over the way his body looked, it was a horrible accident that caused it. Dabi never told her just what did it though, it was for the best. She wouldn't want to talk about it either if she was in his place.

She suspected it was quirk related, Dabi was a villain after all. Either some hero tried to take him down or another villain did. It was scary to think about, it made her slightly more grateful to not have  quirk. But she could do without the pitiful and patronizing words from those who do have them. She never minded not having a quirk, well, after she graduated school that is. She had a decently paying job and a fairly nice home, there wasn't much she could complain about. Speaking of jobs, she had to get ready before she was late. The last thing she needed was to be quirkless and jobless.

Y/n got out of bed and quietly walked over to her closet and got out her work clothes before sneaking odd to the bathroom. After freshening up and changing she exited the bathroom, as she walked back into her room, she saw Dabi sitting upright in her bed. Once he saw her, his blank expression turned into a small grin. "Mornin'." He greets her. Y/n was unsure what to say back, Dabi never stayed with her this long before. It was...awkward.

"Mhm." She nods, entering the room. "Of too work?" Dabi asks. Y/n nods again and looks for her shoes. "I-I'm going to be late if I don't get a move on." She says before picking up the uncomfortable shoes. She loathed having to wear the damn things all day, but it was company policy. "So...um..." Dabi chuckled, getting out of her bed and walking towards her. It was then she noticed he wasn't wearing a shirt.

His toned body and scars were all on full display, for her eyes alone. No matter how many times she saw him, she could never get use to it. He was one beautiful son of a bitch. "Then you should hurry." He tells her, tucking a strand of hair away from her face, and behind her ear. The small action made Y/n's heart skip a beat. What was with him? He was never this touchy with her outside of sexy times. Maybe he was just in a really good mood?

Or maybe, he was really reaching for that hundredth chance of forgiveness. Either way, she wasn't complaining.

"Right, so...I'll see you next time?" She asks while putting on her shoes. "You know it." Dabi confirms. "Now hurry up, slow ass bitch." Y/n flips him off before walking out of the room. "Yeah yeah, you hurry up and leave too jackass." Dabi snickers and searches for his shirt and jacket.

Before Y/n could get out the door, Dabi snuck up behind her, and kissed her gently on the back of her neck. "I won't be holding back next time." Y/n gulps, her heart fluttering in her chest. "R-right. See ya." She stammers before exiting her house.

Once she was gone, Dabi's smug grin dropped. "I can't believe I did that." He muttered. "Do I really care that much? The fuck's happening to me?" He makes his way back to Y/n's room. He never meant to become clingy like that, but something just came over him. Something he couldn't explain. Whatever it was, it can't continue. Dabi swore the very moment he met Y/n, to keep  her at an arm's length. Close, but not too close. Because if Y/n did get too close, it wouldn't end well for either of them. "Sorry for treating you like this doll, but man's gotta do, what a man's gotta do. Especially if it means keeping you out of harms way."

Dabi walked over to the window and opened it, he slipped out. He was careful to make sure no one saw him as he exited the home. He's done this enough times to know where to go to avoid the eyes of the public. Once he was far enough away, he was on rout to where he was at the most. The League of Villain's hideout.
