Y/n huffed as she carried Hawks' unconscious body, even from this far away she could still hear the panic from the civilians of the city. "This sure is a good workout." Y/n panted. The tip of Hawks' wings smacked her in the face as she readjusted his body. "Pft! Ugh, come on now..." She muttered. Suddenly the ground shook as a loud explosion could be heard from a distance. Y/n stumbled and near fell over, the shaking ceased and she was balanced again.
Y/n turned her head back, the light of the explosion fading ever so slowly as smoke began to rise up. "Touya..." She whispered. Groaning, Hawks' eyes finally opened. "Y-Y/n? What happened?" Y/n looked down at Hawks. "Keigo! Thank goodness!" Hawks ignored the soreness in his body as his attention was set on the smoke. "There was an explosion. Right were Dabi and the league were."
"Not doubt because of Hakai." Hawks stood up straight, his wings unfolded. "You're going back?" Y/n asked. "You're hurt, you couldn't possibly fight like this." Hawks' eyes never left the sight of the smoke. "Hurt or not, it's my duty as a hero to make sure the villain is defeated. Even if it kills me."
"But-" Hawks gently placed his hand on the back of Y/n's head and pulled her close to his chest. "If Hakai is still alive, you and many others are still at risk. I won't have anyone dying today." Y/n looks up at him. "I'll keep you safe Y/n." With that, Hawks flew up and sped towards the scene.
"Keigo wait!" Y/n called after him. "Keigo!!"
Dabi opened his eyes, smoke was the first thing he saw. There was a throbbing pain in his head, he looked down to see his jacket was ripped to shreds, along with his white-T that clung loosely to his body. Dabi removed the now useless jacket from his body. As he did so, pain shot up his chest. "Shit...well, my ribs are definitely broken." Despite this, he managed to bring himself to a stand. Looking around, he saw nothing but a destroyed part of the city he along with the rest of the league were just in.
"Where are the others?" He muttered as he began to walk. "And where is that son of a bitch gone?" Though hurt, Dabi's guard never went down. Hakai could attack him at anytime, anywhere. He had to be cautious. Dabi tried speaking into the ear piece. "Hey. You guys still alive?" Static was his only answer. "Well shit." He removed the piece and threw it aside. There was no point in having it now.
"That bastard is better at causing inconveniences than actually killing us." Dabi looked around, it was way too calm and quiet. Was Hakai even here? Or was this his way of splitting the league apart so he could pick them off one by one? Either way, Dabi had a choice to make. Expose himself by calling out for the others, or leaving to find Hakai himself. Both choices would ultimately get him killed.
Dabi stopped in his tracks as he saw something rapidly approaching him. He didn't hesitate to shoot a blast of fire at what he assumed to be Hakai. Whoever it was, skillfully dodged and jumped up into the air. Falling back down just in front of him, giving him a clear view of who it was.
"Oh, it's you. Birdbrain."
"Nice to see you again too, Dabi." Hawks scowled. "You and your little posse cause that explosion just now?" He asked. "You forget just who we're fighting? It was Hakai dumbass. I don't even know where the others are or if they're still alive after that." Said Dabi, trying to repress the panic in his tone. "Hakai is still alive, just barely. His body is getting weaker, Spinner managed to cut his hand off and stab his chest."
"Is that right? And he's still alive?" Asked Hawks with a raised eyebrow. "Just what is that guy?"
"No idea. But he needs to die pronto." Dabi walked passed Hawks. "I think he fled to recover, if he was looking for me he would have attacked already. Especially after using my quirk just now." Hawks was close to follow. "Well that's no fucking good." He growled. "He'll try looking for Y/n again."
"All the more reason to hurry." Dabi could only hope the others were in fact still alive, and that they would show up eventually. "Where was she last?"
Y/n was tempted to run after Hawks, but she knew it wouldn't do her any good. She promised Dabi she would go somewhere safe, but was Dabi even safe? After that explosion, he must have gotten hurt. She shook her head. No, she had to have faith in Dabi. He promised to come find her after this was all over. She had to believe him, of all times, this was the time she needed to put her trust in him the most. Though it pained her, she turned away and ran further away from the scene.
'Keigo, you better come back too!' She thought as she picked up her pace.
