The young woman awoke later that night, she had only been out for a couple of hours, but when she opened her eyes, she was only met with darkness and a throbbing headache. With a groan, she pulled her body up to a sit, she could tell she had been laying some something. It was somewhat soft, but mostly dusty and hard. She patted at whatever she was under, she came to the conclusion that it was a mattress. The young woman moved her leg off of the uncomfortable mattress, but her foot that she thought would hang, was met with the floor. Was this mattress just a mattress laid on the floor of, wherever she was.
Where was she? Before she let panic settle in and takeover, she thought carefully about what happened tonight. She was at the nightclub, she got drunk, she left, some man was offering to take her home and...oh no...
The young woman looked around, but could hardly see in front of her. Carefully, she stood up and held her hands out in front of her, feeling around for a wall. Once she found one, she felt around the wall for a light switch. After what felt like an eternity, she found it and flicked it on. Just then, a tall man stood before her. She screamed and scurried backwards until she fell onto the hard floor. She looked up at him, a fearful look in her eyes.
The man had spikey hair black as night, his eclectic blue eyes pierced right through her, he wore a white baggy T-shirt, and a long overcoat that was torn at the bottom. But what stood out the most was the scars...they covered his arms, his legs, parts of his chest, his neck, and even his face. They were all held together by the crudely placed staples that pierced his flesh. Wait a minute...she had recognized him!
The man standing before her was none other than Dabi, one of the most wanted villains in all of the city!
The woman's heart was beating out of her chest. What did he want with her? To kill her surely. She backed further away from him until her back hit the wall. Terrified and quirkless, she could only plead for her life. "P-please! I-I'll give you anything you want, just don't kill me!" She begged. Her words made Dabi smirk. He walked closer, causing her to cower. She closed her eyes tightly awaiting for her fiery end.
"I'm not going to kill you. Relax."
The woman slowly opened her eyes, Dabi was crouched in front of her, smiling of all things. "Y-You won't? Why?" She asked, still trembling under his gaze. Dabi lifted his hand and gently stoked her cheek. She flinched at the sudden touch. "You could have been kidnapped tonight." The woman looked at him with confusion. What was he...the man from earlier!
Now it was starting to come back to her, that man was taking her with him. The more she thought about it, the more clear it became that he wasn't trying to help her. "Then why am I here?" She asked. "I saved you, duh." Dabi said as he rolled his eyes. Saved her? A villain, saved her? She was more confused than ever. "Why?" Was all she could say.
Dabi let out a breathy laugh before sitting against the same wall she was against, right next to her. She flinched again, still cautious about what he'll do. He might have claimed he saved her, but he could be up to something.
"I may a be a villain, but I have some morals believe it or not." Dabi pulled out a cigarette from his pocket. He placed it in his mouth before holding his thumb up to the end of it. Heat radiated from his thumb until the cigarette was fully lit. Dabi took a long drag before blowing out a puff of smoke. "I wasn't going to stand by and let an innocent woman be taken advantage of by a perverted scumbag. So I burned the motherfucker."
Another memory hit her, of a bright blue light followed by an intense heat and screaming. Dabi must have killed the person who tried to take her. While the idea of someone being murdered in front of her was gut retching, whether she was conscious enough to see it or not, she was grateful for the help. She looked up at Dabi.
"T-Thank you..." She muttered. Dabi only nods in response before blowing out another puff of smoke. "I think you've had enough excitement for one day, hm? About time you head home." He tells her as he stands. He offers his hand to her, hesitantly, she takes it. The warmth of his palm was oddly comforting, maybe due to the traumatic experience she just had. But...there was a sense of familiarity to it as well, like she had felt this warmth before...
The woman didn't let him get much further before she stopped him just as they were arriving to her street. "Thank you again...uh Dabi..." She says awkardly. "I'm going to go now..." Dabi nods before turning away. "See ya around..." He trailed off. "Y-Y/n." She tells him. Dabi cranes his head back to her, a smirk plastered on his scarred face. "Y/n." With that, he walked away, leaving Y/n alone, with an odd new perspective....
