Chpt. 1

-Ericas p.o.v.-

I giggled as Kyle kissed my neck softly. I gently pushed his head away.

"That tickles" I said smiling. He smiled at me and stuck his tongue out at me. I did it back and scrunched up my nose.

"You're so cute, you know that" he said and I shook my head.

"Well, you are" he said and kissed my cheek. I giggled again as Heather jogged over to me.

"Ooooh!! Erica did you hear?!?" She practically yelled as she pulled me into a standing position.

"Did I hear what?" I asked.

"Our grades are out, they were just posted on the website. Guess what?" She asked.

"You passed" I guessed and she squealed.

"Yes! That means I get to go on the camping trip" she said excitedly as she did a small happy dance. I laughed as I shook my head at her. I pulled my phone out going to the school website to see if I passed. I scrolled through the list and found my name clicking on it. I got an A, I passed, surprisingly.

Suddenly the most amazing smell hit my nose making my heart race. I glanced up in the direction the smell was coming from. Across the room by the wall stood a girl.

'Mate!' Starlight growled with happiness. The girl looked up at me eyes slightly wide. My mate is a girl?

"Uh, I have to go" I said rushing off before anyone could ask questions. I rushed to my locker that was at the other side of the school. I unlocked it grabbing my cheer bag when the smell hit my nose again. I looked to my left to see the girl. I closed my locker and walked towards her standing up straight. She avoided my stare as she stood there awkwardly.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Jayda" she spoke quietly.

"Well, Jayda-" I started to say but cut myself off when she looked up at me. My breath hitched in my throat at how beautiful she is.

"I only followed you so we can get this rejection thing over with" she said softly. Rejection? She's going to reject me?

"You're rejecting me?" I asked and she furrowed her eyebrows confused.

"No? I thought you were going to reject me" she said and I took a deep breath through my nose.

"Well, you're wrong" I said my heart beating like crazy in my chest. She looked genuinely surprised.

"You-You're not?" She asked and I shook my head no.

"You're my mate Jayda, I don't care if you're also a girl, I accept you" I said with a small smile.

"Oh" she mumbled with a hint of relief and happiness.

"I have to go but I'll see you later, okay?" I asked and she nodded. I looked all around us and gently placed my hand on her left shoulder and kissed her cheek making her blush then walked off to the locker rooms.

Honestly, when I was walking to her I had all intentions to reject her. But when she looked at me, I couldn't do it, more like I didn't want too. I accept Jayda as my mate.
