Chpt. 30

-Erica's p.o.v.-

"That's fucked up" clay said looking at all the stuff that was sent to my mate.

"Severely fucked up" I said.

"So, what was it that you wanted me to do?" He asked.

"Take it down, you're the computer genius" I said feeling irritated.

"Okay but it'll take awahile" he said.

"Just do whatever it takes, its all over the internet" I said. He nodded grabbing the laptop and phone going into his special room full of technical stuff. He's the smartest werewolf in his park, he's their secret weapon. He can do anything with any type of technology.

He also lives in Montana state. So I'm really far from home. I live in Kentucky.

I put my mouth in my elbow coughing. I felt really tired and drained. Probably from all the traveling.

"You okay?" Clay asked hacking the firewall on the computer.

"Yea, I'm fine" I said. I started to think. How long have I been gone?

Awhile, maybe almost a week.

"Hey, you seriously don't look so good, maybe you sit down" Clay said standing up.

"I'm fine, just tale it all down, please" I said and he sat bad down looking at me wearily.

"Okay" he said slowly getting back to work. I sat down anyway not feeling good.

-jaydas p.o.v.-

"You do? Where is she?" I asked. He shook his head looking up at me.

"Let's just say she isn't in this state anymore" he said and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What? Then..where is she?" I asked.

"Either Montana, Ohio, South Dakota or New York" he said.

"How many-"

"A lot, she's done huge favors for other packs over the years and befriended a lot of people that have special gifts" he said.

"Wow" is the only thing I could think to say.

"So, how do we figure out where she is?" I asked.

"Easy, I'm the alpha, I can call the other packs to see"

"Then get to calling!" I said waving my hands around.

"Alright, hold on" he said doing something else. I sat down in a chair waiting.

"Okay, found the numbers" he said and I perked up.

"Yay" I said.

"Knock, knock" someone said peaking their head in the room. Landon smiled brightly and I looked to see who it was. Eva.

"Hi, Jayda" Eva said smiling and I smiled at her. She went over and sat on Landon's lap as he dialed a number.

"Hi sir its Alpha Landon, may I please speak with your alpha?" He asked then waited.

"What state?" I asked eagerly. He held up one finger and I pouted. I just want to know.

"Hello Alpha Kenny....yes, I'm aware.....I was just wondering if my sister has been spotted-.....okay...please let me know..okay bye" he hung up.

"New York is off the list" he said.

"Okay, so what state next?" I asked.

"Ohio, then South Dakota and last Montana" he said calling the pack in Ohio.

"Ah, Alpha Frank, have....oh really?....you heard that?...oh I see...okay, thanks anyway" then he hung up.

"Well?" I asked.

"She's been there" he said and I smiled but it dropped.

"Been there? Like past tense?" I asked and he nodded.

"She was there for a few days but she just passed through" he said.

"Oh" I mumbled. He called South Dakota then Montana but the denied seeing her.

Where could she be?

"I swearly thought she would be there" landon said and I shrugged.

"Its okay, she'll be home soon" I said getting up and leaving

At least, I hope she will.

I walked home and went to bed. I'm just going to sleep it off.

"You've reached my voice mail-"

"Ugh! She didn't answer again!" I groaned looking at my aunt.

"Its okay sweetie maybe her phone died" she said and I shook my head.

"Its been three days since I last spoke to her, I'm getting worried" I said and she placed a plate of food in front of me.

"I'm sure she's fine honey" she assured me. I just sighed.

"I hope so, I feel like something bad happened" I said picking at my food.

-Erica's p.o.v.-

"Hey, wake up" I heard and groaned sitting up. I looked around.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"The infirmary" Clay said and I became confused.

"Why?" I asked.

"Your sick" he said.

"But I haven't been away that long" I said and he shook his head.

"Erica its not from being away from your mate" he said.

"Oh, then what is it?" I asked. He stayed quiet.

"Okay, then how long have I been out?" I asked.

"Three days" he said.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Well, while I was taking down the stuff you collapsed and started seizing. I rushed you here immediately" he explained and I looked at my hands.

"Wh-how-what happened to me? Why am I sick?" I asked urgently.

"Calm down" he said.

"I will not calm down until you tell me, what is wrong with me!" I said loudly.

"Okay! Okay! Just please calm down" he said and I relaxed in my bed looking at him.

"Erica" he started to say then paused.

"You have cancer"
