Chpt. 32

-Erica's p.o.v.--a few days later-

"You've been acting really strange lately Erica, ever since you came home" Jayda said as I drove her home.

"Sure, Jayda bombard me in the car why don't you?" I asked rolling my eyes.

"See? That's what I mean" she said and I pulled up to her house.

"I've just been tired lately okay?" I asked and she looked at me.

"Alright" she said and I leaned over to kiss her but she turned her head and I ended up kissing her cheek.

"Bye" she said getting out.

"I love you" I said and she closed the door walking to her front door. I backed out of her driveway and went home. I sat on the couch with my mom, brother Eva and my dad.

I didn't feel good at all.

"You okay?" Landon asked with a serious look on his face.

"Just a headache" I said.

"Yea, Erica you seem really pale, are you sure its only a headache?" Eva asked.

"She has a headache, drop it" my dad snapped and I rolled my eyes.

After a few minutes I got tired of being around them.

"I'm gonna go to my room" I said sliding off the couch a little but stopped.

"I don't...feel so good" I breathed out then it felt like I was falling.

"Erica!" Was the last thing I heard before opening my eyes lazily.

"Erica, erica can you hear me?" Landon asked and I looked at him dazed. There were two of him, now theres three.

I started pushing off the ground to sit up but I was pushed back down.

"Is she going to be okay?" I heard my mom ask upset.

"I don't know" landon said worried.

I felt my arm twitch and then my body. My body was twitching uncontrollably and I was aware because of my wolf.

"Ha-no-" I tried to speak but it was slurred or cut off. I could see my mom crying and Dva freaking out. My father was off to the side looking guilty and Landon was keeping me from hitting my head.

"Call 911!" He ordered and Eva quickly took her phone out.

"La-doo-oon" I stuttered out feeling a tear slip down from my eye. I'm scared.

"Shh, shh, Erica its okay help is on the way" he said and my body relaxed and I looked around lazily.

I closed my eyes and opened them seeing I was in a hospital bed. I rubbed my eyes confused.

"What happened?" I asked y voice hoarse. My mother came into view.

"You had multiple seizures" she said and I sighed swallowing my spite.

"Ah, Ms. Moon so glad you're awake" the doctor said coming in with some papers.

"So, what's wrong with her?" My mom asked.

"My dearest apologies Mrs and Mr Moon but it appears that your daughter has Chronic lymphocytic leukemia" he said and my mom burst into tears holding onto my dad. I just laid there and my mom looked at me.

"Oh, sweetie" she said.

"I already know mom" I said and she became surprised.

"What?" She asked.

"I was with Clay in Montana and I blacked out after a seizure and they found it. I already know about the cancer" I explained. I looked over at Landon who distanced himself not looking at us.

"Son did you know?" My dad asked. Landon stayed quiet.

"Why didn't you tell us?!" My dad asked loudly. Landon looked at him angrily.

"You wouldn't have cared! You haven't cared about Erica since she came out gay and wouldn't reject her mate! You wouldn't have cared!" Landon yelled.

"The hell I wouldn't have!" My dad yelled.

"You wouldnt! Your selfish! You care more about your reputation than anything!" Landon yelled.

"Stop" I said.

"That isn't true-"

"Then why didn't you even care when she was hurting from Jayda trying to k-"

"Stop!" I said louder tears brimming my eyes. They stopped yelling at each other and looked at me.

"Erica I-"

"Just go" I said looking down.

"Both of you" I added. They left and my mom pulled a chair up to my bedside.

"Oh sweetie" my mom said.

"Do you want me to get Jayda?" She asked.

"No, I don't want her to know" I said and she gave me sad eyes.

"Why?" She asked.

"I don't want her to worry, I'll be fine, I'm healthier when I'm near her" I said.

"But honey you can't be near her all the time" she said and I sighed.

"I know, I'm just scared" I said.

"Oh honey" my mom said with sad eyes as she sat on my bedside.

"I know you are and I am too but we'll figure this out" she said and I nodded.

"Okay" I mumbled.
