-Jaydas p.o.v.-

I looked around the halls not finding Erica again. Where is she?

She's missed two days of school and she's not answering any of my texts of calls. I know I was mad at her for not telling me something didnt mean I wanted her to just stop talking to me.

I sighed going to gym class and changing out. We were dismissed from the locker rooms and went to the track outside.

I started jogging and half way through someone jogged up to my side. I looked to see that it was Erica and I kind of froze mid step stopping.

"You okay?" She asked smiling, that smile is fake.

"Yea" I said jogging again.

"Where have you been?" I asked and she shrugged.

"Around" she said looking straight again. Her stare had sort of a distance in it. Like she was here physically but mentally, no.

"Are you okay?" I asked and she nodded.

"Just great" she said and we finished out lap. Normally werewolves don't get so winded from jog but she was flustered and breathing heavily.

"Okay" I said and we went to sit down on the bleachers. We were told to choose a color and go to the field. We're playing flag football.

"So-" I looked to see that Erica wasn't near me. "-where did you go?" I asked looking around.

I spotted Erica sitting on the bleachers talking to the coach. The other coach, Mrs. Norris, went over to them. By now everyone was wondering what was going on.

'Go to her' my wolf said. I started walking slowly watching. Erica stood up then she fell, Mrs. Norris caught her. I instantly sprinted over to her. She was shaking on the ground and tears welled up in my eyes.

"What's happening to her?" I asked frantically and coach Laye stopped me from getting close to her. By now all the teachers and students were well aware that her and I were mates.

"She's having a seizure" coach Laye said calmly. I looked at him horrified.

"What?" I asked.

"Why?" I asked freaking out. Is this part of what she's been keeping from me?

"Calm down" he said and I ripped out of his grasp kneeling next to her.

"What's going to happen to her? Our kind isn't suppose to have seizures" I said and coach norris sighed.

"I know" she said.

"Its been over a minute, its lasting too long, get the nurse and her brother down here" the coach said. He called them both and the nurse got here quickly. I was softly crying watching my mate shake, like someone was electrocuting her.

Whispers erupted when Landon started walking this way with his beta and third in command. Barely anyone sees him.

"Jayda" he said wrapping his arms around me pulling me to my feet.

"No! No! Let me go" I said frantically staring at Erica as he pulled me away.

"Jayda, you don't need to see this" he said making me look at him.

"What's happening to her?" I whispered. He sighed.

"Erica didn't want you to know because she didn't want you to worry" he started as we went more to the side away from everyone. I looked back at Erica to see she stopped shaking as she was looking around.

"Jayda, Erica is sick-"

"Sick? Sick how?" I asked.

"She has Chronic lymphocytic leukemia" I stood there shocked.

"Cancer?" I asked and he nodded.

"She's going into stage three and it isn't looking good" he said and a few tears slipped down my cheeks.

"Alpha! She's not breathing!" His beta yelled. I turned around running over to her bursting into tears.

"NO!" I screamed and felt arms around me.

"No! Let me go!" I yelled watching the paramedics, which must have arrived while I was talking to landon, do CPR on her.

"Bring her back!" I yelled and my wolf whimpered and I felt pain in my chest.

"Please bring her back" I cried and fell into Landon's arms.

"She can't die" I whispered.
