Chpt 6

-Jaydas p.o.v.-

My shoulders slumped as I watched the spot Erica was standing. I didn't mean to lie to her, I just don't want her to know about everything, I guess.

I sighed taking a step forward when the door opened and the girl from yesterday that was picking on me came in. I gulped as she smiled evilly at me.

"Well, well, well what do we have here?" She asked slightly circling me.

"I-I was just leaving" I spoke quietly as I went to leave but she yanked me back by the hood of my jacket.

"No, your not" she said in my ear then yanked on the hood hard making me fall to the ground. I gasped loudly as the wind was knocked out of me.

"Listen, this is our little secret. If you tell Erica about this, I'll find everything out about you and I'll tell the entire school, got it?" She hissed in my ear. My heart raced of panic and I nodded quickly.

"Good" she said then kicked me in the stomach. I grunted in pain as she kicked, punched, and slapped me. I closed my eyes tightly waiting for her to stop because my begging her to stop wasn't doing anything.

-15 minutes later-

I limped down the hall holding in tears as I made my way to my class. I was so late and I just know I'm going to get into huge trouble. I opened the door and Erica's sweet smell hit my nose. Since when was she in this class? I had my hood up as I entered and everyone looked at me.

"Ms. Winters care to explain why you're late?" The teacher asked.

"Uh, n-no" I stutter out and swallowed back the lump that formed in my throat.

"Hmm, alright then you have a detention after school today. Take your seat" she said and I nodded with my head down. I walked to the back of the room trying my hardest not to limp.

-after class-

I slowly got up from the desk but quietly groaned in pain.

'Why am I not healing yet?' I asked Midnight, my wolf.

'I'm so sorry, I'm trying but I can't. You must tell Erica what happened' Midnight said.

"What happened?" Erica asked as she came up to me. She no longer looked angry but concerned.

"Nothing" I said and started to walk to the door.

"Its not nothing Jayda, I can see you're in pain and I can feel it too, what happened?" She asked. She can feel my pain?

'Of course she can, she's our mate' midnight said.

"Dont worry about it okay? I'm fine" I said looking at her. She sighed but nodded anyway.

We walked out into the hallway together and she stood close to me. I guess ready to catch me if I fell. I looked up to see the girl who beat me up in the bathroom. She smirked at me and made a motion that she was going to hurt me worse. My breathing picked up and panic set in.

"Jayda what's wrong?" Erica asked as I leaned on the wall breathing heavy.

"I can't.....breathe" I gasped out. It was getting hard for me to breathe only making me panic more.

"Why can't you breathe?" She asked sounding worried.

"Panic...attack" I breathed out.

"Okay, okay let's get you to the nurse" she said and I shook my head.

"No" I said and she pulled me along into a room.

"Uh, what should I do?" She asked. I gasped as I slid down the wall. I covered my ears closing my eyes.

"I cant-" I started to say when I felt a pair of lips on mine. My wolf jumped for joy and I knew it was Erica. I kissed back and she slowly pulled away.

"Better?" She asked and that's when I noticed I could breathe again.

"How did you-"

"I read it somewhere" she said and I slightly smiled.

"Thanks" I mumbled.

"Do you always get panic attacks?" She asked and I nodded looking down.

"Why?"

"I dont want to talk about it" I mumbled.

"Okay, I won't force you" she said and I dropped my arms in my lap. I looked up at her to see her looking down with slightly wide eyes. I looked down to see my sleeve slid up slightly revealing the cuts I made. I quickly pulled my sleeve down getting up.

"I-I have to go" I said quickly and rushed out of the room.

Now, she will reject me. Its never too late to be rejected.
