Chpt. 20

-Jaydas p.o.v.--2 days later-

I gulped quickly as I sat in the car with Erica outside my moms house.

"You don't have to do this" Erica said and I looked over at her.

"Yes, I do" I said and got out of the car. Erica got out and came to my side, she grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. Electricity and tingles shoot through my body. I smiled at her and she returned it softly kissing my cheek.

"Okay, let's do this" she said and we walked to the front door. I knocked loudly and then took a few steps away from the porch. Seconds later the door opened and my mom stood there.

"Oh, Jayda you had me so worried. Where were you?" She asked taking a step away from the door. I held up my free hand.

"That's close enough" I said and she seemed confused.

"I came back to tell you I'm done. I'm tired of taking care of you or fearing for my life around you" I said my voice stern.

"I don't understand" she said.

"You understand plenty. I'm so tired of constantly thinking why. Why is it that the people that brought me into this world, who are suppose to love me don't. You've put me through so much pain, you've ruined me and then you have the nerve to say you were worried about me?" I asked taking step closer letting go of Erica's hand.

"Jay-"

"I know what I'm doing" I said looking at her and she nodded.

"This whole time, for my entire life I thought I was the one who was fucked up, that I didn't deserve to be alive but its you. Frank payed the price for trying to rape, murder and abusing me. He died two years ago from the death sentence and you're heading down the same damn road! And you know what? I don't care, I wish you were dead so you can't cause me anymore pain!" I said and she was crying but I didn't care.

"So, leave me alone. I don't want anything to do with you. Do you hear me? I'm done. And dont even think about coming after me because my mate and the alpha will protect me. They know everything" I said.

"You found your mate?" She asked.

"Yea, I did and she's amazing. She helped me more than you ever will" I said turning back to Erica and she stepped forward. I wrapped my arms around her and she wrapped her arms around me.

"If you try to take me away from her again, I'll be coming after you" I said threatening her.

"Also, if you harm Jayda in anyway, I'll do to you what I will do to anyone who hurts my mate. I will rip your throat out with my teeth" Erica threatened and we turned away going back to her car.

"Im proud of you" she said smiling at me.

"Thanks" i said and she leaned in kissing me softly then pulled away.

"I love you" she said making my heart flutter.

"I love you too" i said and she pulled out of the driveway.

-Later that day-

I walked out of the bathroom brushing my wet hair. I looked at the TV not sure what Erica was watching.

"What are you watching?" I asked as I sat down on the bed.

"I have no idea, I can't find the remote to change it" she said and I laughed slightly turning towards.

"You know you can change the channel by the TV" I said and she smiled.

"I don't feel like it" she said and I laughed.

"Understood" I said and she sat up scooting closer to me. I smiled at her and turned back to the TV. She gently moved my wet hair off my shoulder as she softly kissed my neck.

I brushed her fingers on my arm then gently placed her hand on my shoulder. She slowly moved her hand down my arm giving me goosebumps as she continued to kiss my neck. She gave my hand a light squeeze. I slowly closed my eyes loving this feeling she was giving me.

She moved her hand to my thigh then back up to my stomach under my shirt. She made small circles with her thumb on my skin. She slowly made her way down to my pajama pants. My breathing slightly quickened, then her lips were on mine. She kissed me softly with a hint of urgency. I couldn't take it anymore as I turned around not breaking the kiss.

I gently pushed her down so she was laying on her back. I deepened the kiss and wrapped my right arm around her waist pulling her closer to me. I slightly pulled away from the kiss, my lips brushing hers.

"I want you, so badly"
