-Erica's p.o.v.-

"Mom! Im back and Jaydas here!" I called out and heard her squeal.

"Yay!" I heard her say as she rushed to the living room.

"Jayda its so nice to meet you" my mom said smiling at Jayda.

"Its nice to meet you too" Jayda said sorta quietly.

"Do you want to stay for dinner?" My mom asked.

"Oh, um, I already ate" she said and my mom made a pouty face.

"Oh well, that's okay maybe some other time" she said and Jayda nodded.

"I'm so glad my daughter found her mate, you two look perfect together" my mom said and I smiled.

"Thank you" Jayda said becoming very awkward.

"Do you want to go upstairs?" I asked Jayda and she nodded. I took her hand intertwining our fingers as we walked upstairs to my room. I closed my bedroom door and sat on my bed.

"So, what do you want to do?" I asked and she shrugged.

"It doesn't matter to me" she said and sat down next to me.

"How about we get to know each other better" I suggested.

"Okay" she said glancing around my room.

"Um, tell me something about yourself" I said with a shrug.

"Nothing to tell" she said looking at her hands.

"Are you-" I was cut off by her phone going off like crazy with text massages.

"Are you going to answer those?" I asked.

"Oh, yea sure" she said picking up her phone looking at the messages and setting her phone down.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yea, yea of course" she said and I could tell she was lying.

"I know its not, what is it?" I asked and she sighed handing me her phone. She rested her head on her hand looking away from me. I looked at her confused but unlocked her phone anyway.

"Oh my gosh" I whispered quietly as I read through all of the hateful text messages telling her how ugly, stupid, a freak she is or how she should go kill herself.

"You don't believe them do you?" I asked her and she stayed quiet.

"You believe them" i breathed out and she shrugged.

"But why?" I asked.

"Because they're right" she spoke quietly looking down at her hands.

"No, they aren't. You're beautiful, amazing, and you're worth it" I said and she shook her head no.

"You're wrong" she said looking at me in the eyes. I could see so much hidden pain in her eyes.

"Jayda, please tell me" I said and she knew exactly what I meant. She quietly sighed and nodded.

"Where do you want me to start?" She asked.

"The beginning" I said and she nodded while gulping.

"When I was younger about four or five I noticed things about my parents. How they would always fight and sometimes my dad hit my mom. They got divorced when I was six and my dad would come home drunk every night. One night he was so angry he hit me, after he hit me for the first time he kept doing it

I begged him to stop but that only made him angrier. As I got older he would beat me till I couldn't move. I was removed from the home and put into foster care because my mom was in jail for drug use. When she got out I was placed back with her. She was-is addicted to drugs. She sells her body out for drugs and one night she tried to sell my body out to get drugs but I ran away

After I ran away I was put into a foster home for girls. The social worker couldn't get ahold of any other family members. For two years I went to foster home to foster home, some foster parents beat me, others thought I was dangerous because they found out that I self harmed. I was 9 when I first cut

When I was eleven my foster sister found me dying on the floor because I tried to over dose on pills. I tried overdosing on pills two times after that, each time someone found me. When I was 13 I tried to hang myself but someone found me and cut me down, I tried that again once more. When I was 14 I tried to cut as deep as I could on my arm again someone found me, I attempted it three more times

Each suicide attempt someone found me. They just never seemed to get it, I wanted to die. I don't want to be alive and yet I'm still here being bullied everyday at every school I've ever gone too. Im a fuck up with a fucked up life. My dad got the death sentence two years ago for attempt of rape, murder and abuse. My mother is in jail for life right now, she's a addicted to drugs my father was an alcoholic

I selfharm to cope, I also have severe anxiety and depression..I'm also anorexic. I never wanted you to know because I knew you will reject me once you found out how fucked up your mate is" she finished tears slowly falling down her cheeks. I covered my mouth as tears streamed down my face. She's been through hell and back. I pulled her into my arms and she froze slightly but hugged me back.

"You're broken, I see that now but I will never reject you Jayda. I'm going to help pick up the pieces and make you whole again. I don't want to lose you" I said meaning it.

"You can't fix the unfixable" she whispered and I pulled away looking her in the eyes.
