Chpt. 12

-Erica's p.o.v.--The next day at school-

"Oh my gosh! I missed a lot!" Heather said and I nodded. Heather went on a short camping trip with her family during the weekend.

"I can't believe you already marked her though" she whispered and I shrugged.

"She wanted me too and my wolf was eager to do it anyway" I said and she laughed slightly.

"This is still so surreal for me" she said and I laughed while nodding.

"Get up freak!" I heard someone yell then a faint whimper was heard.

"Jayda" I whispered and rushed to the lunch room with Heather following close behind. I made my way through the crowd of people to see that one girl, I threatened last week for picking on Jayda, looking down at Jayda and kicked her in the side. My blood boiled with anger as I put myself between the girl and my mate.

"Didn't I tell you to leave her alone?" I asked through clenched teeth.

"Move out of my way, you don't scare me" she said while rolling her eyes and kicking Jayda again. A fierce growl ripped through my chest as I gripped the collar of the girls shirt. I yanked her closer so I was in her face.

"Mess with my mate again and I'll rip your throat out with my teeth" I growled out hatred dripping with every word. She gulped loudly.

"Your mate?" She asked shocked.

"Do you understand me?" I asked and she nodded quickly.

"And don't think I'm bluffing because I won't hesitate to rip your throat out with my teeth, I will promise you that" I said coldly as I shook slightly of anger.

"Now leave!" I said loudly as I let go of her shirt. She stumbled backwards but then took off running. I turned to Jayda who was standing up now with Heathers help. I nodded a thanks at Heather.

"Are you okay?" I asked and she nodded. I pulled her into my arms hugging her.

"I'm sorry" I whispered and she shook her head.

"Its okay" she said quietly. We pulled away and everyone was just looking at us wide eyed.

"What?" I snapped at everyone and they quickly went back to their seats.

-later that day--at cheer practice-

I walked out to the bleachers where the other girls were. I set my bag down and joined them.

"Is it true?" Lulu asked.

"Is what true?" I asked.

"That your mates a girl" Kelly said.

"Oh that, yea it's true" I said like it was no big deal, because it isn't a big deal.

"Why didn't you reject her?" Cameron asked.

"Why does everyone ask me that?" I asked annoyed and slightly pissed off.

"Jaydas my mate, yes she's a girl, no I don't care. I swear if someone asks me that question one more time I'm going to explode" I said not caring how mad I sounded. All the girls looked down or somewhere else.

"I would also like to add if anyone, and I mean anyone picks, hurts or bullies her in any way, I will rip out your throats with my teeth" I added and slammed my water bottle down on the bleachers. I let out a long frustrated sigh then took a few deep breaths.

"Okay, I'm good now. Just had to get that off my chest" I said and they all mumbled an 'okay' or 'its fine'.

"We do have one more question" Lulu said and I looked at her.

"When can we meet her?" She asked and I couldn't help but smile, glad they accepted me.

"Um-" I looked around and spotted Jayda on the bleachers. "-now, I guess" I said and they smiled.

"Yay" they said at the same time.

"Hold on" I said and climbed up the bleachers till I reached Jayda.

"Hi" I said smiling. She smiled back with a small laugh.

"Want to meet the cheer leading squad?" I asked.

"I don't know" she said slowly unsure.

"Don't worry, they know not to hurt you in any way. I already threatened them" I said and she quietly laughed.

"Okay, sure" she said and I squealed. I grabbed her hand intertwining our fingers together as we made our way down the bleachers.

"Okay, everyone this is Jayda my mate" I said proudly looking at Jayda lovingly.

"Jayda this is everyone" I said pointing at everyone.

"Hey, I'm Lulu the captain"

"Kelly"

"Cameron"

"Jordan"

"Sandy"

"April"

"Kayla"

"Hannah"

"Cody"

"Piper" they all went around saying their names. Jayda smiled at all of them.

"Its nice to meet you guys" she said and they returned it.

"Well, we have to practice so we can hang out afterwards" I said and she nodded. Everyone got up walking towards the field as Jayda went towards the bleachers.

"Where do you think your going?" I asked not letting go of her hand.

"Um, to sit and watch?" She said more as a question.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" I asked and she smiled. I moved her hair away from her shoulder revealing the mark i gave her. I heard a few gasps but ignored them. I softly kissed the mark sending tingles through my body.

"I love you" I said and pecked her lips quickly.

"I love you too" she said and sat down as I rushed to the other girls.

"You marked her?" They asked and I nodded.

"Yea, I couldn't take it anymore with my wolf going crazy to do it, plus she wanted me too" I shrugged and they smiled while some giggled.

"How long have you two known about being mates?" Lulu asked

"Since last thursday" I said and they all went 'ooohhh'.

"What?" I asked confused.

"That's why you were acting so weird when she was around" kelly said and I nodded.

"Let's practice" I said and Lulu turned on the music.
