Jaemin and Mark, NCT DREAM'S parents.

Written in bold block letters across the top of the screen, being covered occasionally by Bubble messages from his fans. Jisung stared down at his phone, frown embedded into his lips as his mind registered the article and everything else that it entailed. He blew his breath out of a narrow gap in his lips, frustration riddled throughout his every nerve. Without thinking he threw his phone over his shoulder, for a second he waited to hear if it fell to the ground but when the noise didn't appear he disregarded it completely.

There was a loud knock on his door, pulling his attention towards the person standing by the frame. Mark's lips were pulled into a thin smile, his arms crossed over his chest. Jisung had seen that look multiple times to know that whatever was coming out of his mouth wasn't going to be good, instead of speaking out he just took a deep breath and readied himself for what was to come. He couldn't get annoyed at his hyung so he bit his tongue and just waited patiently for Mark to speak.

"Hey Ji, we're having a very important meeting with manager hyung in the kitchen and I think it's best if you stay here. Chenle is already on his way here to keep you company while the rest of us discuss a couple things, do you want any snacks or-?"

"I have a stash of ramen in here for a reason hyung," he deadpanned, trying really hard to keep the venom from his tone. "Chenle usually brings snacks for these situations anyway so it's not like we don't know what we're doing. I just thought that since both of us are adults now, we would be able to sit at the grown up table."

Mark's lips pulled higher and Jisung was able to see his teeth through the small gaps. "But you're still our baby Ji, you don't need to worry yourself over everything that happens, let your hyungs handle it okay?"

Jisung knew that if he tried to protest Mark would just find a way to keep him in his bedroom anyway, so he decided that it was better to avoid wasting his energy on it. He hadn't been back to a meeting with his members for a couple months now, the reason being the man standing before him right now. Without another word Mark left the hallway, leaving Jisung's bedroom door wide open. The glares he continued to send in the general direction his hyung had been in, eventually stopped once he realised that Chenle was standing in Mark's place.

"Hey Ji," he grinned, stepping into the room and closing the door over with his ankle. "is everything okay? You look really annoyed right now and I don't like it."

"Aren't you annoyed because we can't be in that meeting?" Jisung wondered, shifting on his bed to give his best friend some room. "Aren't you the slightest bit annoyed that we are no longer welcomed at the 'adult' table?"

"I think I'm just happy that Mark-hyung is back." Chenle explained, a smile wide on his face. Jisung knew he should have expected that since he knew how close both Mark and Chenle were, bonding over their shared love of basketball. "He's been so busy that I missed spending time with him, I don't mind being put at the 'kids' table if he's back."

"We're adults," Jisung tried to explain, but he could literally see the words fly over his best friend's head. "We should be able to talk things through with our own manager, not stay here and pretend that we have no idea what's happening out there."

"I think it's great!" Chenle laughed, throwing his head back as he settled down next to Jisung. "We don't have to deal with anything, we just get to sit back and let them work through everything for us!"

Jisung stood up from the comfort of his bed, his hands balled into fists. He took one look at his room before taking his hoodie and leaving the room, slamming the door closed behind him. He could hear Chenle let out a surprised sound from behind the door but it didn't cross his mind to explain, he needed to get out of the dorm and no one is going to change his mind right now.
