It was a typical first day in one of the Istanbul’s high schools.

First year students were nervously walking around the halls, hoping to avoid big and scary senior students.

Second year students were a bit more relaxed; some of them were outside the school, enjoying still warm Istanbul weather, while others were spread around the halls, chatting with old friends.
Third year students were a little bit depressed. This is their last year where they can be chill before stress of colleges come to their doors.

Senior students were the loudest. Some of them were lurking around the school, trying to find some poor freshmen kids to mess with it, some of them were already on their secrets spots, making out with their high school sweethearts or enjoying the feel of smoke in their lungs.

Yes, in that school went a lot of teenagers, a lot of different people with a lot of different styles.
But all od them had one thing in common.

They loved gossiping.

And all of them heard about new girl coming to their school.

All of them were curious. Especially, one particular group of friends.
“
Guys, guys, did you hear it? Someone new is coming to our school. I am so excited” eighteen years old Engin Sezgin exclaimed excitedly to his group of friends; Serkan, Kaan, Ferit, Selin and Piril.

“The whole school is talking about it, how can we not” Selin answered sarcastically, trying to
attract Serkan’s attention.

It was another failure of course, because Serkan would rather give his undivided attention to a wall than to her. Not that she would stop trying of course. She dreamed about being his girlfriend ever since they drunkenly slept together two years ago. Not that he remembered any of that night…

“I hope she is hot. I am sick of these boring girls here” Kaan continued their conversation with a dreamy smile on his face.

“Maybe because you fucked half of the school here” Serkan said snidely which caused Ferit and Engin to fist bump with each other snickering.

“At least I didn’t fuck one of my oldest friends and then not remembering any of it” Kaan fired back and the rest of the group made that ‘uuu’ sound when someone gets burned.

Serkan just rolled his eyes and ignored it, while Selin was red as tomato.
Everybody seemed to know about that embarrassing night. Or, better, the morning, when Serkan asked what was she doing in his room.
They bickered left and right, until the door of the school opened and the new girl came in.

Everybody turned their head to look at the newcomer, but the girl ignored everyone.

Eda Yildiz walked in her new school with confident stance while she looked straight ahead. Her long brown hair was swinging lightly against her back and her short uniform skirt showed her long long legs.

She continued to walk inside the school with a bored and disinterested look, ignoring the feel of their gazes on her back.

She was slowly approaching to the big group of friends, and her gut told her to look at them. She immediately locked eyes with intense green eyes. Or were they brown? Maybe even blue? Mix of it?  She didn’t had time to find out, so she quickly scanned the face of those mysterious eyes and
looked away.

Eda tried to ignore her mind that immediately noticed that the face was handsome. Or was that her heart that was screaming? She ignored it and turned left to go to the principle’s office.
