First year in college.

“ C’mon Eda, it’s just a small favor, I promise I will never ask you anything else.”

Eda rolled her eyes as she continued to draw her assignment.

Eda and Serkan were sitting on their favorite spot, a table and a bench under the old oak tree, with a view of their university building in front of them.

It was a warm October day, so they decided to spent their free time there, enjoying the warm weather.

“Not gonna happen, you always say that and the next day you ask for something else. I am not gonna fall for that.”

Eda and Serkan are childhood friends and and first-door-neighbors.

They knew each other since the diaper’s era.

Since the early days, Eda and Serkan were best friends, and their families often teased them
about their future wedding.

They grew up together.

Played with other kids in the ‘sokak’, went in the same schools, and now they even go to the same university.

Where Eda went, Serkan followed.

Where Serkan went, Eda followed.

Eda and Serkan were inseparable.

When they walk together to their homes,they often meet with curious eyes and knowing smiles of the older people in their mahalla.

Everyone knew that they were in love.

Except, of course, for Serkan and Eda.

Back to present….

Serkan was bugging Eda for almost a month, because he wanted to go on a date with Eda’s friend, Selin.

Eda was used to see Serkan with different girlfriends, but for some reason, this time she had a bad feeling about it.

It twisted her guts when she thought about Serkan with Selin but Eda didn’t know why.

She saw the sparkle in his eyes when he talked about her which made her unusually uncomfortable.

It never bothered her before, so why is this different?

Because of those feelings, Eda gave excuses to him every single day, hoping Serkan will gave up, but he was even more stubborn than her.

Eda ignored him and pretended to draw something, but she could feel his eyes on her.

She always could.

Because he was always looking at her.

“It won’t work so give up!” Eda said, knowing he was using their telepathy powers so she could look at him.

But after a few seconds, she gave up and looked into his eyes.

His green eyes that are doing puppy eyes right now.

Eda froze.

His eyes were beautiful. She could detect a bit of brown and blue dots that made his eyes somehow even more green.

Beautiful.

Her eyes traveled around his face, looking with attention all of his features.

His scruffy, barely there beard, his curly blonde-ginger hair, everything about his face…
