Every single moment that Eda and Serkan shared couldn’t be compared with that small innocent kiss that took a breath from both of them.

It was barely even a kiss; a lingering butterfly touch that hold so many emotions.

Yearning, love, pain, yearning, love, love.

Who could tell that a small kiss would reconnect two hurting souls, that all the tears and the pain disappeared with just a single touch on the lips?

Eda and Serkan felt in peace for the first time in months. It felt right. With the right person. But not so right time.

Serkan fell under her spell the moment she places her soft lips on his.

After an initial shock passed, he closed his eyes and kissed her slightly more harder.

He was in a heaven, completely obvious to all the problems they had in real life.

He was kissing Eda and he had never felt more happier.

But his logic was there to put him harshly on the ground.

“You are kissing a person who doesn’t even know who you are. You are practically using her.”

Serkan opened his eyes instantly and broke the kiss, regretting it immediately after seeing confusion on her face.

He wanted to go back, to kiss the hell out of her, to heal his wounds, but Eda opened her eyes, and the reality snuck up on them very fast.

“What are you doing, Eda?” Serkan asked her, vulnerability clearly in his voice, and Eda heard it.

But she couldn’t answer.

What the hell did she just do? Why did she kissed him? And why the hell did she liked it?

Panic appeared in her expression, in her eyes, and Serkan saw it all, and he knew his answer.

He put her gently on the bench as he stood up and walked like a maniac in the circles, getting angrier by the second.

Eda tried to make up an excuse, but she found nothing.

She kissed him because she missed him. And she missed him because….

Eda didn’t want to hear the answer to that!

“Why the hell did you kissed me?” Serkan stopped immediately and stood in front of her, his gaze burning her.

“Because I wanted to” Eda wanted to say, key word on wanted.

“I don’t know”, she quietly replied, feeling her eyes getting filled with tears.

“You don’t know” Serkan replied mockingly. “And what do you know, Eda, hmm?” Serkan asked, tone of his voice getting higher and angrier.

“What the fuck is wrong with you?”

Eda was surprised after hearing these words, and looked at him with her red, swollen eyes.

“Oh, no. Don’t pull those tears in this, I won’t fall for it” he said with poison, making her sob.

“NO! YOU WILL NOT CRY” Serkan yelled and not-so-gently removed the tears from her face.

“Why are you crying?? You don’t get to cry, Eda. You don’t!!!!! YOU forgot about me and faked me a smile or two, before basically telling me to fuck of!! I made you uncomfortable, and I decided to let you go, and you don’t even let me do that!!! Are you really enjoying hurting me that much, huh? I was your poor looking puppy asking for just a pet or two, and then you kicked me without a single glance, and now you tell me you miss me and then kiss me? WHAT THE FUCK IS WROING WITH YOU?”

Serkan screamed at her which caused for her to cry ever harder, which made him more pissed.

“You didn’t lose anything, Eda, but I did. I lost my world”, Serkan finished with a bitter smile and left her there, wishing for his amnesia too, wishing he never met her in the first place.

Bitterness was not a stranger in Eda’s life, for the last few months.

Every time she looks at herself in the mirror, she grimaces in disgust at her reflection.

Dark circles under her eyes were a clear sign of a long nights, nights that were spent in the old memories, memories that sadly, no longed belonged to her.

Eda hasn’t spoken to Serkan for around two months. She barely even saw him during these days. He did everything he could to avoid her, and Eda didn’t blame him.

Her mind was a mess, her heart was destroyed, and her body craved for the one that specifically didn’t want her.

The headaches she had were growing stronger day by day, so strong that even pills couldn’t take the pain away.

If she only could have her locket back…

Eda tried to gave it back. She went to every building that was engaged in charity work, every antique shop in Istanbul, but she couldn’t find it.

She got so desperate, with insomnia circling around her and misery written on her face, that in one particular shop, she saw a silver locket on the little girl’s neck.
She was so sure that the locket was hers, that Eda without even thinking about it, grabbed and took the locket of the poor girl’s neck.

Needless to say about the disappointment she had felt when she realized it wasn’t her locket, but she had time to think about her actions when she was sitting in the police station, waiting for her mom to pick her up.

Many apologizes and many excuses and many sweet words later, she was dropped of the charges but with a firm warning for her.

Eda’s mother gave her a lecture of lifetime, and after that, every chore in the house was hers, just to have a little more time to think.

After that incident, days passed slower than ever.

April just began, the kids were outside, screaming and playing around, while the older people were sitting outside the tea houses, gossiping and playing tavla.

Eda always loved springs in Istanbul, but she despised this one.

☆☆

Eda was walking from the classroom, feeling literally like shit. Her headache was getting worse and worse, and the emptiness of her heart was draining her.

She was tired and she missed him...

And she was lonely.

Eda stepped on the top stair, when Serkan came to her vision.

He was on the first floor with his group of friends, but he was particularly talking and laughing with the blonde girl next to him.

The easiness between them had upset Eda, and just like that, new memory appeared in her head.

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Eda missed him. Her best friend. Ever since he got with Selin, Eda felt like he put her on a solid second place. He ignored her calls, with the excuses that he was busy, and that they would hang out later. And when they were hanging around, Selin was always there.

Their friendship wasn’t the same, despite the newly discovered feelings for Serkan.

Eda felt like she was losing him, and she couldn’t do anything about it.

So, to calm herself, she took her bike and went to the place that meant so much to both Serkan and her, the place where they for the first time declared that they were gonna be best friends for life.
They even took an oath, just to be sure.

The place like a place, wasn’t something special. It was just a small hill, fifteen minutes by bike from home.
They accidently discovered it as children, and they declared it as its own.

When they were a little bit older, with help by their parents, they placed a small, uneven bench with their initials all over it.

They could see a good part of Istanbul from there, and they would dream about their future there.

The place wasn’t special, but they are those who made it special.

Eda was not far away from it when she heard someone’s laugh. Specifically, woman’s laugh. A familiar one also.

Eda left her bike right there, next to the dirty road, and walked slowly towards the hill.

And there was the sight that broke her heart.

Serkan was there, talking excitedly about something, while Selin was all cuddled up next to him, looking at him with love.

He took her there…On their place…While she was sitting on her name…Literally…

Eda didn’t know how, but she could hear her heart crackling.

She didn’t know that in few seconds, Serkan would break her heart all together.

“You know why is this place so special?”, Serkan asked Selin who raised her head from his shoulder.

“Why?”

“Because you are here, next to me”, Serkan said and gently placed his lips on hers.

Eda carefully left them with a painful expression on her face, tears spilling out rapidly, while the poison of his words was slowly turning her heart black.

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Eda felt the pain all over her body, and with the help of her headache, Eda’s world turned black.

Serkan took his gaze off Selin just to see Eda rolling down the stairs, and with horror, her unmoving body on the floor.

“EDA!!”, Serkan desperately yelled as she ran to her like a mad man.

Serkan crouched on the floor and picked Eda in his arms, searching for injuries.

“Eda, baby, please wake up”, he touched her cheek, but without her response.

He hugged her desperately, clung on her as he rocked both of them, with tears spilling on top of her head.

“CALL THE FUCKING AMBULANCE”, Serkan yelled to no one and everyone at the same time, while he begged for mercy.

“I can’t lose you, Eda. I can’t do this without you. I have to tell you how much I love you, please….”

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Eda woke up in haze and terrible pain few hours later. She was slowly adjusting to the lights while she tried to remember what happened to her.

She saw Serkan with Selin, right! And then, that terrible memory flashed, and now she was probably in hospital! So that means she passed out, again.

Eda moved her hand to her head, and grimaced when she felt a huge bump on her forehead.

“Eda? Thank God!”, Eda’s mother exclaimed and hugged her daughter, who huffed in pain.

“Anne…”

“Don’t talk yet, I am going to find the doctor”, she said and left, leaving Eda, whose only concern was if Serkan was there, waiting for her.

After a half of hour of tests and check-ups, and multiple questions later, doctors told that beside that bump and bruised body, she was fine. But they will have to order an CT for her head, so she was going to stay a night in the hospital.

Eda sighed finally as doctor left. “Is Serkan here?”, she asked finally and surprised her mother.

“Yeah, he is. Do you want him to come here?”

Eda nodded slowly and her mother smiled in relief. That boy was something else.

Eda’s mother left her room and Serkan immediately stood up, his face covered in fear.

“How is she? Is she fine?”

“Why don’t you ask for yourself then?”

Serkan frowned in confusion. “I don’t think she wants me here.”

“She is asking for you”, she said and saw surprise on his young face.

“She is?”

“Yeah, just go.”

Serkan nodded, suddenly nervous, and knocked before he entered her room.

Eda immediately smiled when she saw him. God, how much she missed him. Eda’s heart yearned for him while he slowly walked towards her.

“Are you okay?”, he asked, and Eda could hear concern in his voice, mixed with fear and something else that she couldn’t quite detach.

“Yeah, I got lucky. Just this huge bump and multiple bruises on my body.”

Serkan looked at the bump and then at her.

“What did doctors say?”

“I have to stay overnight, just to be sure, don’t worry.”

Serkan clearly wanted to say something, but he thought that she hated him and didn’t want him there, so he smiled and nodded.

“I am glad you’re okay. Got all the university worrying” Serkan said to lighten the mood, but without much success.

“Serkan…” Eda started but was quickly interrupted by him.

“I don’t want to bother you, again. I am really glad that you are okay. Take care of yourself, Eda”, Serkan said and walked towards the door, causing Eda to panic.

She didn’t expect for him to show her love, but she didn’t expect this coldness too!
She needed him. He couldn’t leave…

“Stay”, Eda said, almost in whisper, but Serkan heard it anyway.

He stopped walking, while his heart’s beat speeded up.

Serkan turned his head to her, and Eda could clearly see vulnerability in his eyes.

“Stay?”

Eda looked away for a second, thinking carefully about her next words.

“You twiddle your fingers when you are nervous”, Eda said and gulped, anxiety and fear of being rejected getting better of her.

“When you concentrate on something, for example on drawing, you always stick out your tongue on the corner of your mouth”, Eda said and finally met his gaze.

“You always eat one type of food on your plate before moving on to the next item.
You always bounce one leg when you’re sitting.
Your favorite color is pink and you hate the movies I love.

Maybe I don’t remember everything about you or us, but I have noticed you, and I also realized that I can’t do this without you by my side.
I want to remember just like I want you to stay right now.

So, stay. Please.”

There was a long moment of silence where Eda held her breath while Serkan just stared at her, not moving at all.

Eda was starting to lose hope, thinking that she chased him away, but then, to her surprise, she saw a tiny little smile on his face that teared her up instantly.

In one moment, he was near the door, and in another, he was in Eda’s arms, hugging her tightly with his head in her neck, while Eda ignored the pain and hugged him back, feeling she was finally at home.

She could feel him sobbing against her, and her friends, guilt and pain crushed her after hearing him.

“Serkan…”

“I missed you so much”, Serkan mumbled in her neck.

“I missed you too”, Eda replied truthfully, while caressing his messed curls.

He suddenly raised his head and Eda’s heart panged when she saw his red eyes.

“Don’t you dare do that to me again. You are not allowed to cross the street without me, and you definitely will never use the stairs again. Understand?”

“Serkan!” Eda giggled at his ridicules request, and relaxed when she saw a soft smile on his face.

Serkan looked at her bump and got serious. “I thought I lost you again, Eda. Are you sure everything is okay?”

“Yeah…I always get dizzy when I remember something?”

Serkan looked surprised. “You remembered something?”

“I got few memories back, but not enough. I am sorry”, Eda apologized and looked away, but Serkan nudged her to look at him.

“It’s okay, Eda. I am glad you remembered anything at all. We will go step by step, don’t worry”, Serkan said while caressing her cheeks lovingly, and Eda leaned to his touch, closing her eyes in peace.

“You need to rest”, Serkan said and started to pull away, but Eda grabbed his hand desperately, not wanting him to leave.

“Can you…Can you lay next to me, this pillow is not very comfortable”, Eda asked shyly, which amused Serkan, because they slept next to each other million times already.

“Scoot over”, he said and Eda did just that, while watching him remove his shoes.

The moment he laid down on the bed, Eda grabbed for him and put her head in the crook of his neck, while putting one leg over with one hand on his waist.

Serkan hugged her to himself, holding her closely, finally feeling at peace.

After a while, Eda looked up to him, holding his gaze.

“Did you know that you are holding a criminal in your arms?”, Eda asked him half jokingly, half in sleep.

He raised his brow. “What criminal?”

“I was in a police station.”

“What? Why?”

Eda smiled sadly and closed her eyes, returning to his neck.

“I tried to find the locket you gave me. I searched the entire Istanbul, but nobody had it.  I got a little desperate and thought I found it on the little girl’s neck. I grabbed it from her, she screamed, and her mom called the police”, Eda said and fell asleep, while he was looking at her in shock.

“Eda…”, Serkan called her but realized that she was asleep.

He stared at her peaceful face for few moments, and noticed the dark circles under her eyes.
Her hollow cheeks were more noticeable as his heart shrank.

She wasn’t sleeping and eating well, and it was all his fault!

“I am sorry, baby. I am never leaving your side again”, Serkan whispered and kissed her gently on her forehead, already knowing his first step.

“I will come back”, he told her and wiggled carefully out of her arms, his heart aching when he saw her reaching for him.

Half an hour later, Eda woke up, and immediately noticed that Serkan was gone.

“Serkan?”, she whispered, not knowing if she could handle him leaving her like this, or him leaving either way…

“Eda?”, she heard her mother’s voice, and she tried to hide her disappointment and hurt while she turned towards her mom.

“Where is Serkan?”

“I think he left, kizim”, her mother said with her famous ‘I feel sorry for you but I don’t want to show it’ smile.

“He will be back, I am sure of it”, she continued after seeing slightly quivering from Eda’s lips.

“How do you know?”, Eda asked, forcing herself to stay calm, and not completely, utterly destroyed.

“Because I know him, I know Serkan. He is way too deep in love with you to leave you like this.”

Eda laughed out loud, some from bitterness, some from delusions, some from pain...

“He is not in love with me, anne”, Eda replied and turned her head, trying to ignore how much these words hurt.

“If you actually think like that, then you are not as smart as I thought you were.”

Eda ignored her and hoped she would leave, she always liked to suffer in silence.

“Look at me, Eda”, her mother ordered with her firm voice, and Eda had to obey her.

“You and Serkan were raised together. You went through everything together.  I know that you two promised that you will be best friends forever, but that’s just not going to happen. And you know why? Because I could see how he looked at you when you were just in middle school. I saw the way he followed you like a puppy, wherever you went, he would most certainly be there too. I even noticed his jealously, when you went on your first date, when you got your first boyfriend…Well, actually, he would get jealous even if someone just looks at you. But the look in his eyes, when he sees you, that never changed…And how do I know all of these things? Because I saw it in your eyes too. Yes, you were, you are best friends, but you were never just that. You were always something more.”

Eda felt every word deep in her heart. And she knew. She just knew. It was the truth. They were always something more. Hell, she kissed him, and he kissed her back! That’s not something best friends’ doo.

Eda sighed as she braced herself. Time has come for confession. No matter how belated it was.

Serkan came back to hospital as fast as he could, firmly holding something in his hand.
He smiled like a fool, knowing from today, everything is going to be different.

He was approaching her door, that were slightly opened and he could distinguish her mother’s voice.
Serkan stopped just in front of the door, preparing himself to knock, and then, he heard her.
Something that he always wished he could hear from her.

Words that he heard only in his dreams.

Words that shook his world completely.

“I think…I believe…No…I know…I am in love with him, I am in love with Serkan.”

Eda’s mother found Serkan sitting on the chair with his mouth wide open.
She chuckled as she figured out that he most probably heard her daughter’s words.

Finally.

She sat next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

“You heard, didn’t you?”

“Yes”, he replied, still in his dazed faze.

“You’re not going to leave her again, aren’t you?”

“Not a chance”, Serkan said with confidence.

“You will stay here over the night?”

“Is that even a question?”

“Then go to her.”

After a quick hug with his future mother-in-law, Serkan entered the room, happiness radiating from him for the first time in a long time.

Eda was in a deep hole of self-pithiness, when she heard crackling of the door and to her surprise, Serkan came, with a huge smile on his face.

“You came back?”, Eda asked, and watched him getting closer to her.

“I never left”, Serkan replied and kissed her gently on her forehead, causing emotion that she could now proudly identify. Love.

“I got something for you”, Serkan said, but she couldn’t answer, she was mesmerized by his eyes, that were so expressive in that moment, so full of love, and Eda knew her eyes looked just like that.

“What?”

Serkan took his hand in the pocket of his jacket and Eda followed his every move, noticing something silver.

It can’t be, right?

Serkan opened his fist and there was it, her old locket, the symbol of their friendship, the symbol of their love.

Eda’s eyes teared up as she stared at it, truly thinking that she was dreaming again.

“H…How?”, she quietly asked and looked at him, who was watching her with so much intensity.

“Let’s talk about it later. But right now, the locket needs its rightful owner, where it belongs”, Serkan answered and smiled, and Eda smiled back at him, thinking for sure that this man wasn’t real.

She slowly got up from her bed and turned around, removing her hair from the neck.

Serkan was placed right behind her, nervously unlocking the necklace.

When he finally did, he leaned over her and placed the locket on her neck, but before he could lock it, sudden urge to kiss her neck overwhelmed him, so before he could think too much of it, he did just that.

Serkan softly kissed the place where her necklace connects, causing tiny gasp and many shivers all over her body.

They both closed their eyes, enjoying a tiny moment of intimacy.

Serkan let her with a sigh after a few seconds that felt like eternity, and finally clasped her locket.

Eda turned slowly towards him, and felt a huge relief when she saw her locket on her neck.

“Right where it belongs”, Serkan whispered while Eda placed her soft hand on his cheek, touching him gently.

“Right where it belongs”, Eda whispered back.

After Eda was finally finished with doctors and scans and tests, she fell asleep with a smile on her face, with the man she loved snuggled by the man she loved, who had the same smile on his face…

“I think tavla is just too complex for you”, Eda said after Serkan lost yet another round to her.

They were playing tavla for couple of hours in front of the small tea house in their street. Serkan lost every single time, much to Eda’s delight.

“Maybe we should move on something more simpler, like Uno or Monopoly”, Eda teased him and he gave her a dark look.

“This time I will win”, he said moodily and reset the board, feeling in his gut that he will win this time.

Half an hour later, Eda was laughing so hard that her stomach hurt, while Serkan pretended that he was offended.

Seeing her laugh like this, with her whole heart, with him, while doing something so simple, slowly removed the bruises on his heart.

Three weeks have passed since she was in hospital, and they took every possible moment to be with each other.

They walked together to the classes and from the classes, they chilled on their spot in the backyard, they drank tea and played tavla and gossiped around with the hairdresser across the street.

Few days ago, they went to the football game where their favorite teams played.
Eda was so sure that Fener would win, that she teased him all the way to the stadium.
After the game, Serkan teased her all the way home because his team won 4-0.

☆☆

“Don’t talk to me again”, Eda said while climbing through her window, while she tried to hide her smile.

“Same time tomorrow, Edacim”, Serkan replied and Eda grinned.

“Can’t wait.”

☆☆

But they didn’t have the talk just yet. About everything that went wrong with them.

Eda and Serkan knew that time was approaching, but they wanted to be in the bliss for just a moment, to forget the problems that they still had.

Until that day finally arrived.

☆☆☆☆☆

Eda was restless the entire day. Thankfully, she didn’t have any problems with her headaches anymore, and her locket was finally on her neck, but something was on her mind.

She was happy. So, extremely happy. Serkan made her smile and laugh every single day and that made her feel guilty. She still hasn’t apologized to him for her behavior, and the lack of new memories was getting on her nerves.

And the last memory she got? About Serkan and Selin in that place and how much that memory hurts her?

That was constantly on her mind. She knew the place was special for them, but the words he told Selin? It made her feel like shit, especially on this day, when Serkan was somewhere with his family.

So, instead of feeling sorry for herself, she decided that she should just go there and get over it.

It was a warm day in Istanbul, so she dressed herself quickly and took her bike.

And she found it, probably by her instinct, twenty minutes later. She could feel his presence all over the place, pictures of them running around the place dancing around her eyes.

She slowly sat on the bench and looked at the graceful view, thinking how beuatiful her city truly was.

Hours passed, and after a lot of thinking, Eda concluded one thing.

No matter how good of memories they both had in this place, Eda felt like this place was ruined. Tainted by the tears after his words, destroyed by the person Serkan brought here.

She closed her eyes for a bit, wondering why the hell was life always so complicated.

Deep in her thoughts, she barely noticed a noise behind her, but she wasn’t scared.
She knew it was him.

She kept her eyes closed until he sat next to her. She opened them and her heart danced at the sight of him, as it always did.

She didn’t know how much she loved him until that moment, staring at him while he looked at the city.

His beard was getting and Eda didn’t like it.

“You need to shave”, Eda said and looked at the horizon, beautiful colors of the sunset calming her down.

Serkan chuckled and raised his hand to touch his beard proudly.

“You have no taste. I am pretty sure I look like a lion.”

Eda grinned and turned her head towards him, meeting his teasing eyes.

“Do you want me to tell you what you remind me of?”

“Entertain me, please.”

“You know the lamb that Mary had?”

“I don’t like this game”, Serkan mumbled and they both burst out laughing, trying to calm down the tension that surrounded both of them.

Eda looked at him, and the mood shifted seriously, and Serkan noticed it obviously.

“Time to talk?”

Eda nodded. “Time to talk.”

Few moments of uncomfortable silence passed until Eda decided to break it, looking in front of her.

“I saw you. Here. I don’t know when, but I saw you here with Selin. I know this place is ours, but I also know you told her that this place was special because she was there with you. And to be honest, so far, this is the worst memory I got.”

Serkan took a deep breath and sighed heavily. He felt like shit. How could he give up on her, when he treated her like that when they were supposed to be best friends?

It was time to tell the truth…

“I don’t know if you realized it just yet, or not, but I am…I am a coward, Eda”, Serkan admitted and Eda turned her head in surprise.

“I have fought with my feelings for years, I truly did. I tried everything to escape them, to destroy them, to hide them. When the opportunity came, in this case, Selin, I just had to try. Try to like someone else, try to love someone else. And I tried hard. And in these attempts, I only succeeded in one thing. I drove you away and I destroyed our friendship…” Serkan stopped talking and met her gaze.

“And it was all for nothing. I was so scared about my feelings, that I had to try anything. But funny thing is, I talked about you all the time, with Selin. I walked with her down our streets, an excuse to see you somewhere. I brought her here, only to talk about you. And the more I thought about it, the more I was determined to forget about you. But it was useless. Selin had enough and broke up with me one day, telling me that she was more dating you than me. And I felt relieved. I was tired of fighting it constantly. So, I have decided to confess my feelings. I went to your door, feeling excited and nervous, only to hear your mother say that you left for New York. That was the moment I truly realized that I lost you. You left without goodbye, and I couldn’t even blame you for that. I am sorry, I am truly sorry for everything…”

Eda was looking at him wide-eyes, her heart beating fast, trying to comprehend his words, until she relaxed and smiled smugly.

“You could just say you loved me; it would be much easier.”

Serkan chuckled and raised her hand, where he placed a soft kiss.

“Seni seviyorum, Eda Yildiz. More than you will ever know.”

Eda felt tears on her cheeks, but she didn’t care. Serkan loved her. And, she did too. She loved Serkan too. But she had things to say too, before that.

“Serkan…”, Eda said and took his hand, their fingers entwined.

“You are not a coward to me, but if you somehow are, then I am even bigger coward than you.  I own you a huge apology, Serkan. After our “first” conversation, I felt something deep in my heart. And I was terrified of it. You knew me, but I didn’t know you. And then, I got my first memory, in my room, and it affected me so deeply, that I wanted to run from it, run from my memories, run from you. I also felt the same when I touched my locket. And I was scared…I didn’t know what to do, but avoiding you was my best and worst solution back then. And you just kept looking for me, smiling for me, making these terrible jokes, bringing me my favorite coffee’s, and more… You did all these things and I pushed you away….I…I realized I missed you the day you stopped saying hello to me… God…You were always in my thoughts, in my heart, in my head….I missed you so much I could barely breathe…And when I kissed you…I knew…I know these words mean nothing, but I am sorry for everything… I took you for granted and I will never do that again.”

Serkan looked at her tearful face and smiled. Even when she was crying, she is beautiful….

“You could just say you loved me; it would be easier”, Serkan repeated her words, and she laughed, looking at him with her love filled eyes.

“I am in love with you, Serkan Bolat. Seni seviyorum, more than you will ever know.”

Serkan had a huge urge to kiss her right there and then, but Eda placed her hand on his lips.

“Not here”, she said, and before he could ask why, a huge drop of rain fell on their faces.

“Shit”, they both said and ran towards their bikes, hoping they will escape from the rain.

No such luck.

They were drenched when they stopped in front of their houses, but they couldn’t care less.

They threw their bikes on the ground, and Eda ran to his arms.

She jumped and he caught her just in time, with her legs around his waist and her lips on his.

“Finally,”, they thought, as their tongues danced with each other, and they just stood there, kissing and kissing and kissing….(Until Eda’s father ran from his house with a broom in his hand, but that is a story for another time….)

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Eda gained back her memories on one typical November night, ten years later.

She woke up from her short nap, tired as hell and without her husband by her side.

Eda slowly stood up and walked towards the baby room, when she heard her husband’s voice.

“You and your mom are my entire world”, Serkan said to his baby girl, who was laying comfortably in her father’s arms, smiling a big toothless smile at him.

Eda leaned on the door, enjoying at this emotional view, when something flashed inside her head and she instantly closed her eyes.

Years of memories came back like a silent storm, and when it ended, Eda was a crying mess..

A couple of minutes later, she had calmed herself, and Eda went to her husband and her baby daddy, and her best friend.

She leaned on his back and hugged him softly, while he still held Yildiz in his arms.

“Aşkim”, she softly called him.

“Güzelim.”

“I remember, everything.”

Serkan slowly turned to her, looking at her with shock.

“What?”

“I remembered, just right now, I am finally here”, Eda softly said.

Tears ran down Serkan’s face and if Yildiz wasn’t in his arms right now, he would crash her into his arms.

Emotional moment broke Yildiz, who screamed in delight, babbling, almost like she knew that something wonderful happened.

The Bolat Family was finally complete.

THE END

Author's note:

I have never struggled with a chapter more than I did with this one, and honestly, I am glad it's over.

Fluffy stories aren't my cup of tea, I guess...( shut up, it it fluffy!)

Who am I kidding, I am going to miss them more than y'all :(

See you all soon,

With love,

-Nina
