Briana Rutledge lived a lonesome life with her mother, constantly moving to different states. Because they moved around often, Brie had trouble making long-lasting friends. Her mother was rarely around, but when she was, she was returning from the bar an angry drunk. Bruised and beaten, Brie would hide in her room all day and night.
One night, her mother was so out of it, she tells Brie about a brother she never knew she had. Her mother told her where to find him, and Brie packed her things without a doubt in mind. She starts for the Outer Banks in search of her brother.
But Brie has no idea what she's getting herself into..
