Women can be powerful and being an escort doesn't automatically mean you're not your own complex individual. Pretty much the point of this story. This focuses less on the past because it felt like I'd dealt with that so much in the previous stories and wanted a break. Some of us aren't all our pasts.
Also I was pissed off by racism. I wanted to portray it in all its horribleness because that's what it is, horrible.

I get tired of the same old Y/N stories where she's helpless and ends up reliant on the man and his money. What if Y/N has money too? What if she's a hard worker who doesn't take shit? What if she's trying to balance her emotional health with not living in fear? Those questions produced this story.

I know some of my stories follow cliche themes, it's currently a personal project of mine to rewrite traditional cliches with something a little more empowering that deals with real world issues. I have other more unique projects in the pipeline that I'll get to eventually. This one's opening is slightly different from most other stories in this theme (secret, forced marriage). One of my challenges to myself is to make these stories somewhat plausible!

I've read some pretty good mafia AU fanfiction but I thought it would be a good backdrop to explore some darker themes. I also wanted to try my hand at writing men who do bad things and yet are still good people. We'll see how it ends!

In my tradition of writing women who are problem solvers and not creators, I bring you my first venture into the worlds of both werewolves and Alpha/Beta/Omega. They're more backdrops than the main focus (because it's a first attempt). My main goal was to explore various aspects of abuse. Both in how it can affect people and the reality some people face when trying to move forward with their lives. My focus was really on painting that perspective and giving people mindset insight.
Also I wanted to write legitimate misunderstandings. You know how in some books everything relies on miscommunication but it's not realistic? Well I tried to make it somewhat plausible lol.
