She instantly felt the familiar stress, the pressure, the young innocence he had wrapped around his finger, had thinking was crazy, come rushing back. No, she wasn't that girl anymore. She was an adult woman who had built her own life. She wasn't that person anymore. He couldn't use her, couldn't make her life come crumbling down. She tried to stifle her panic as all the old feelings came rushing back.

"Then I suggest you not show up." She said neutrally before ending the call. To her immense frustration her phone rang again, same number. She thought about dropping it into the pool below but it wasn't her phone's fault her caller was such a dick. Instead she turned it off and leaned on the railing.

That had been so long ago yet the emotions came flooding back like it had been yesterday. He had made her feel crazy, insane, insecure, so drunk on him. She had been a loveless, little girl he had used until the perfect wife material had come along. She had gotten over him. She had healed. She had recovered. And now he just wanted to waltz back into her life. Control her. What would he do? What about her wouldn't be good enough this time? He needed control. He'd take her away from Seoul. Make her give up her degree. An educated woman was a dangerous woman. Probably knock her up. She could read the books he pressured her to. Feel good when he felt like affirming her worth.

Nothing had happened but a phone call, yet for the first time in years she found a panic attack coming on.

And she wasn't home. She was with seven guys who were nice to her but....there was no connection. No depth to their friendships. As she constantly reminded herself, men like them viewed everything as transactional so she did too. She was alone. She always had been. She always would be. She had to get out of here and get privacy before she lost it in front of them.

Thought was action, she startled everyone by throwing the balcony door open and storming through the door, determination set on her face.

"What was..." Hoseok didn't even get the full sentence out before she was past them, grabbing her jacket, and out of the room. He jumped up, following her to the entryway and placing his hand on the front door before she opened it. She looked up at him and he almost backed away in shock. He'd never seen that look before. He wasn't sure what it was but it scared him.

"I need to go home." And he was surprised again when she managed to open the door despite his weight, and left.

"What the fuck was that?" Jungkook asked when the bewildered Hoseok reentered the room. Hoseok just shook his head and sat down on the couch. He had no idea. The Y/N he knew always found a bright side, always found a way to cheer people up, was a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to vent to. He had no idea who the woman he'd looked at was. This was different from even when he'd gotten himself hurt in the dance studio.

And it sent a chill down his spine.

Y/N, when she got home, just sat in the corner of her bedroom, holding her arms and shivering. It wasn't that cold, it was more the emotional cold that comes from realizing you have a problem and there is no one who will be there for you through it. That you are alone. You have to face it.

And it knows your weaknesses.
