When Y/N slowly drifted to consciousness, the first thing she heard was a quiet, soothing beeping. She furrowed her brow, trying to figure out what was going on. Everything was dark, probably because she had her eyes closed, but opening them was so hard. She felt something on her finger and her mouth was clammy and tasted dry. She tried to think, tried to figure out why she was here, what she last remembered....

Parts of it suddenly appeared before her and the beeping increased as her heartbeat spiked and her eyes flew open. He had her, he was going to kill her....

"Y/N!" The word was whispered but urgent. A light flicked on and Hoseok's face appeared in her line of sight. He looked tired and gaunt but she had never been so relieved to see him. Tears filled her eyes but instead of wiping them away Hoseok froze and then he disappeared. She heard voices and then a moment later Jimin appeared, smiling and taking her hand.

"Hi, Y/N."  He stroked her hair and used his thumb to wipe the tears away. "It's okay, you're safe. He can't hurt you anymore." She wanted Hoseok. She loved Jimin as a friend, but she wanted Hoseok. Unfortunately, her throat was too dry and Jimin couldn't hear the silent pleading of her mind.

Y/N had had a lot of time to think, despite the delirium that had set in. She was weak but she'd knocked the chair and her body over and had tried wiggling towards the door. And the entire time she thought.

She thought about Mordecai. She thought about Hoseok.

His words had really hurt her. But she was calmer now and had a bigger threat looming right in front of her. And she realized that as much as the words had hurt her, they had not been meant the same way. Hoseok liked to talk dirty, but she knew there was no way he actually thought of her like that. He wasn't Mordecai. He respected her, was gentle with her, and there was no way he was secretly a narcissist and their six friends hadn't figured it out.

She knew they'd need to talk about it. She was able to take a lot but that was not something she was sure she could.

First though, she needed to get free. She tried calling for help but her throat got hoarse and she made some progress towards the door but eventually she was too weak and couldn't move. And didn't want to. Her last thoughts before she lost consciousness had been sorrow that Hoseok was going to have to deal with the aftermath of all this.

She had been completely out when a random adjussi, who watched way too many spy movies, strolled by on his daily walk. He had worked in this area when he was younger and it brought back a lot of memories. The warehouses were abandoned now. Which is why he thought it was odd that there were fresh tire tracks outside one of the warehouses. Having nothing better to do but eventually go home and tease his wife, he'd walked up and opened the door.

He was the one who had cut Y/N's bindings and then called an ambulance. He later heard from the son of one of his friends, the son worked at the local hospital, that the woman had been brought in and eventually her friends had shown up. She'd made it.

He thought they must really be some friends if a man such as himself ended up having to rescue her from whatever hole she had dug herself into.

Yes, kids these days. Acted like they knew everything and didn't appreciate the previous generation's wisdom. She was probably involved with a gang and he could've told her that was a bad idea.

And so he whistled and went about his life, only to be surprised when a man showed up at his door several months later, shook his hand, and thanked him for saving the young lady before handing him a check and leaving as quickly as he'd come.

She was most definitely involved in a gang and must be close to a rich leader, he decided. But he still cashed the money and took his wife on a trip to Jeju to relive their honeymoon days.
