As the summer drew to a close, Hoseok was trying to get everything he could out of his last weeks of freedom and Y/N was trying to balance him and working on her thesis. And something else was on her mind.
They'd had the talk, neither had brought it up again. And she was scared. But she slowly began to realize that if she didn't do it soon she might always let her fear and anxiety hold her back.
So one night, the end credits rolled on the movie they'd been watching. And she shakily got up and made her way to the spare bedroom she sometimes occupied when she was at his place. The reality was, more often than not, they fell asleep cuddling on the bed or couch. But it made her feel safe to just put her stuff in that room. Maybe a way of convincing herself they hadn't come that far yet.
She shut the door behind herself and quickly took her clothes off, letting them fall in a pile in the floor and taking out a recent purchase from her backpack.
It wasn't anything jaw-dropping, at least to her. It was a simple black bra and pantie lace set. She nervously put it on and shivered, but not from the cold. This was it. She was doing it. She pulled her other purchase out, a dark purple silk robe that fell to mid-thigh. She slipped it on and loosely tied the belt. She looked in the mirror. If she wasn't so nervous she would've given a nod of satisfaction. She looked good.
But she simply stared and her shoulders slumped. This was a stupid idea, she should just put her other clothes back on and go back out there and pretend she hadn't considered this. She'd done this before, she'd given a guy what he wanted and as soon as he'd gotten it he'd shown how little she meant to him...
"Are you serious?" She whispered to herself. "Are you seriously going to compare them after all the ways he's taken care of you?" She was being paranoid and that wasn't fair to Hoseok. He had done nothing to deserve that kind of suspicion. She was being a coward, her mind twisting what-ifs into dark, scary monsters so she wouldn't have to confront what currently scared her the most. Walking out that door and letting him do everything he'd described to her several weeks ago.
She ran her fingers through her hair and took a deep, shaky breath before approaching the door and tentatively opening it. She squared her shoulders and lifted her head up. She was doing this. She was going to do this. She didn't deserve to live in fear and he didn't deserve to be feared because of someone else's actions. So she stepped out into the hall and quietly closed the bedroom door behind her.
Hoseok had gotten up and moved to kitchen, assuming Y/N had gone to the bathroom and wondering what was taking her so long. He was hungry and decided to fix them a quick snack. He was going to bring it to the living room and turned around to do so....and stopped.
Y/N stood in the entryway, fidgeting nervously, wearing something he'd never seen her wear before. It was silky and very low-cut and....he cleared his throat, set the plate down on the counter, and walked up to her. She was looking down.
"What's this?" He asked quietly. He saw her take a deep breath before peeking up at him. It looked like she'd caved in on herself.
"I....um....I wanted....I thought...." She couldn't get a full sentence out and she was shaking despite her valiant efforts to not do so. At another time he might've chuckled and considered it cute but....right now it just made him sad.
"Is this for me?" He prompted, reaching out to run his finger down the sleeve of the cover-up. She nodded and he surprised her by kneeling down so he could look up at her face.
"It looks beautiful on you." He said softly. "But I don't want you to do anything you don't want to do, Y/N. We can do it later." He made to stand up but stopped when she spoke again.
"You don't understand. I have to....if I don't do it now...." He brought his finger up under her chin and lifted it a little to see her face better.
"if you don't do it now, then what?"
"Then this'll get worse and I might never do it." She whispered.
"What'll get worse." She finally looked at his eyes and it made his heart feel heavy when he saw the fear swimming in them.
"I'm so terrified..." As if to emphasize her words her body shook violently a couple of times. "I can't....I need your help. Hobi. Please." He bit his lip, thinking it over. He didn't want her to look like she was going to throw up her first time but...he understood where she was coming from.
"Okay." He said softly. Tonight would be about her. Showing her she had nothing to fear.
He stood up and took her hand, gently leading her to the living room and sitting down on the couch. He leaned back and patted his lap.
"Straddle me." He wasn't demanding but there was a gentle authority in his voice, one he knew she needed to hear right now. Her hand shook when she bent over him and grabbed onto his shoulder for support, carefully climbing onto him. She sat facing him, not sure what to do next. He smiled encouragingly.
"Now show me what you got, baby." She closed her eyes for a second, reassuring herself that this was okay, that Hoseok was safe, trying to let herself let go and relax. It was in his hands now, he knew what he was doing, he'd guide her. He deserved this, he deserved to see every inch of her inside and out.
She looked down for a second to untie the knot and held onto the edges of the fabric, slowly pulling them away from her body, pushing her shoulders back, appearing more confident than she actually was. When she looked up again her hands were holding the robe away from her body, out like wings, presenting herself, giving her boyfriend a good view.
Hoseok had his mouth open and sat staring at her.
