Hoseok and Namjoon took it the hardest but the others were hurting too. Jungkook disappeared to the gym and barely came out to eat. Yoongi locked himself in his room and barely came out too. Jimin went out and got himself wasted, picking up girls at random. Taehyung became very quiet and so did Jin. They tried to help each other but it was hard when you were hurting too. Nevertheless they tried.

Mordecai had been unconscious for two days but finally woke up. When he did though, he refused to tell them any details. He'd gotten what he wanted, Y/N couldn't be had by anyone else. Nothing mattered beyond that. So not only did the boys have to grieve her, they couldn't hold a funeral because her body was missing.

Namjoon found her sister on social media and reached out, but he wasn't physically capable of giving many details. He simply told her they could talk more when she was here and booked her a flight to Seoul to come and start going through her sister's possessions. He figured the sister would know who to contact, who should know.

Namjoon had cried all his tears and now all he felt was numb. Hoseok was at his place, the man couldn't take being in his own. There were too many memories. He was blaming himself, beating himself up, regretting everything. Hoseok alternated between numbness, hatred, and straight up pain. He hadn't physically been able to move for awhile, the pain radiating from his chest was too much.

Namjoon was just staring at his class schedule for the upcoming semester. They would've been in different departments but both would've been attending graduate school at the same campus. He sighed and rubbed a hand over his face. He would catch himself thinking he needed to prep for their language exchanges and then would feel a stab of pain when he remembered they would no longer be happening.

His phone rang and he recognized the number, steeled himself, and answered.

"Hello, Ssem."

"Hey, Joon. I finished the project you gave me." He felt a lump in his throat but swallowed.

"I appreciate that but....we don't need to know anymore."

"Oh, she came back? That's good, probably just needed to blow off some steam..."

"She's not here, Ssem."

"She....left again?" Namjoon closed his eyes and took a deep breath. It was hard to say out loud.

"She's dead." There was a long pause on the other end.

"God." His Ssem finally whispered. "What happened?"

"We don't know. All we have is the killer and he won't tell us where the body is." There was another long pause.

"I think I can help with that." Came the quiet voice.

Namjoon needed moral support, asked Yoongi to please come and watch over Hoseok, and sped to his parents' building, Taehyung sitting quietly beside him. The man had been the first one to answer Namjoon's calls so here he was, here so Namjoon didn't have to be alone in his grief. He was wrestling with his own, but he would be here for his friend. Y/N would've wanted that.

Namjoon was hurried, not because he was excited to see Y/N's corpse, but because it felt like it would close things. He felt it was wrong for her to just be laying somewhere, like she wasn't important to anybody. A Jane Doe. He wanted to show what she had meant to them, to all of them. He wanted to show what Mordecai would never be able to take away.

"What've you got?" His former teacher didn't correct his lack of manners and merely moved his screen so both Namjoon and Taehyung could see. Despite the circumstances, Taehyung still took a moment to bow.

"I tracked her through security camera footage on campus, headed towards the subway. The cameras there show her entering and getting on line 2. They also show a guy following her. I didn't think anything of it at first but he was jogging at several points, probably to keep her in sight, so I'm assuming that's..." The man sighed. He'd never met Y/N but she had seemed sweet from what he'd heard. "That's her killer. She got off at the exit for Seoul Forest." Namjoon nodded.

"She loved that place." He said quietly. "She'd go there to think and clear her head."

"The parking area for the Forest captured her walking by, as did a camera for the Bundang line." He was showing the footage as they spoke and Namjoon's fist clenched each time he saw Mordecai's profile. "Obviously there aren't cameras in the forest but...." He typed away at his keyboard and more footage came up. "He couldn't kill her in there, there are too many people. So I checked footage near exits that don't get a lot of traffic." An image of Mordecai with a body thrown over his shoulder appeared leaving the park. They watched as he got into a vehicle parked down a small side street and Namjoon's teacher followed the man through various traffic cameras, into a warehouse area. Most of the cameras were broken but there was a small convenience store across the street and they watched as Mordecai pulled Y/N out of the car and entered one of the warehouses via a side door. "I sped up the footage. He came out 24 hours later."

"And prepped, then came straight for Hobi." Namjoon nodded, satisfied. "Thank you, Ssem. Please don't destroy the file now. It might be needed for evidence at the man's trial."

"Assuming he gets a trial." Taehyung spoke for the first time, muttering under his breath. He had a feeling that Yoongi and Jungkook might not let it ever get to a trial. Strange things happened and the Gangnam police department was corrupt, everyone knew that. Who knows what might happen if a guard leaves his post in the middle of the night?

Both men bowed and left.

"Are we calling the police?" Taehyung asked. Namjoon shook his head.

"We'll call them after. She..." He swallowed. "She deserves that dignity at least."
