Tipsy

Jin was throwing another party two weeks later and, with some pushing, Hoseok and Taehyung had convinced her to come. Taehyung had suggested they try to get the normal tipsy drinker drunk and hopefully she'd loosen up a little. Maybe it would help her relief some stress? Maybe she'd even tell them what was wrong. But at the very least they wouldn't have to look at her pained expression all the time.

So that's where they were. As always, Y/N looked gorgeous. She wore black, skin-tight jeans and gold stilettos. She had a longer maroon top that hugged her figure perfectly underneath a leather black jacket. And her earrings. She always wore big ones. They complimented her short, dark hair.

She was sandwiched between both Hoseok and Taehyung, trying to convince them who Jungkook's next lay should be.

"That blonde in the corner."

"She seems like the sweet, girl-next-door-type though. And you know how Jungkook gets." Taehyung wasn't 100% sold. Y/N shot him a look.

"Have I ever been wrong?"

"Good point." Taehyung pulled out his phone to text Jungkook Y/N's suggestion. Hoseok pushed another drink her way but she waved it away.

"I'm not getting drunk, Hobi." He chuckled.

"I promise, I'm not going to seduce you. I just want you to be loose enough to dance."

"That's not dancing. I'm not going out there, you know I don't like it." She crossed her arms. She wasn't sure what was going on. Usually the boys disappeared and only occasionally popped in for her opinion during a party. They didn't sit at the bar with her and ply her with drinks. They let her escape to some quiet corner. They sometimes weren't even visible, locked in a room somewhere.

"Okay, I'll keep an eye on you and not let you do anything stupid. Just once, Y/N? Pleeeeeeaaaaase?"

"No." She pushed the drink away.

"Okay, I confess." Taehyung jumped in quickly. "Marissa's here and I want to play with her a bit. Make her jealous." Marissa was the one girl at school who Taehyung knew was trying to play a long game with him. He had been upfront about his lack of desire for a relationship but she seemed to think she could manipulate him into one anyway.

Hoseok shot him a look. The plan had been for Hoseok to take her out on the dance floor. Taehyung shrugged when Y/N looked away. It was either this or the whole plan bombed.

YN groaned but finally accepted the drink. The boys knew that as annoyed as she got with them sometimes, as long as nobody actually got hurt she was okay with a few games. She didn't like Marissa, the girl had been unnecessarily rude to her and tried to start rumors that she was sleeping with all seven of the Bangtan boys. Y/N didn't actually have a problem with anyone who wanted to sleep with seven guys, that was their business. She was mostly offended at Marissa's judgmental attitude towards it and then her dishonesty.

A few more in her system and she was ready to dance. She was ready to forget, even if it was just for a couple hours. Hoseok had found out the hard way that drunk Y/N was basically just Y/N with no anxiety. Especially when she was around people she didn't trust, she also became extremely analytical.

Taehyung had his arms loosely around her body but kept his distance as much as possible, throwing a wink at Hoseok who tried to remind himself that, even if it wasn't him, he'd achieved his end goal and that's all that mattered. He was so focused on not being jealous that he didn't notice the figure moving towards him, nor the look on the figure's face. The figure had asked several people and all had pointed him towards Hoseok.

"Excuse me?" Hoseok felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to see a man about his height, well-dressed, standing there. He raised an eyebrow. The man's hair was wet and combed to the side. He seemed to be a mix of buff and fat, not too big but definitely not as lean as Hoseok. He looked slightly nervous, probably because he didn't seem the type to show up to an event like this. He reminded Hoseok of a preacher. But there was something....something about his eyes....Hoseok couldn't put his finger on it but something was off.
