Y/N's night might've just ended but Hoseok's had just begun. Back at Jin's the boys had ended the party early, much to their groupies' disappointment, and now sat in the middle of the messy living room, discussing the situation.
"She wouldn't tell me who he was but she refused to go home, which means he knows where she lives."
"Then it's not safe for her to stay in a hostel either." Jin said practically. "It's probably not safe for her to walk around by herself at all."
"Is this something we can report to the police?" Jimin asked. Namjoon shook his head.
"Technically, no. At least not right now. If he shows up again then we'd have something on him but even then....I don't know if we could get a restraining order."
"Technically." Everyone's eyes whipped to Jungkook who rested his chin on his hand.
"I can talk to my Dad, see if he can pull a few strings. Maybe we can find out who the guy is at least."
"What about housing? We can't just stay outside her door at the hostel." Yoongi said quietly. There was a pause as everyone mulled that over. Hoseok had been thinking but was hesitant to say it. He felt like Y/N would probably slap him if she was here.
"I'll move her to my place." He finally said. There was another pause.
"That's probably safest. And you're the closest to her, she'd probably feel most comfortable around you." Jin summarized their feelings. "The rest of us can take turns watching her on campus."
"This isn't creepy at all." Jimin muttered.
"We can hire her a bodyguard, follow at a distance, for when we can't be around her." Yoongi pointedly ignored Jimin.
Although he was worried, Hoseok knew she'd need a little space if he had any chance of convincing her of his plan. So he stayed away for the night but was at the hostel bright and early the next morning, knocking on her door.
"Who is it?" Smart girl, not opening right away.
"It's Hobi." The door opened a crack and she stuck her head out. She had bags under her eyes and looked like she'd been crying.
"What...." Hoseok shoved the door open and strode into the room, grabbing some clothes she had lying on the floor and tossing them into her suitcase. "Hobi...what..." He didn't respond, just grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her out the door. She was in her clothes from last night still.
"Hobi!" She didn't know what had gotten into him, his jaw was set and he just ignored all her protests. He tossed the small suitcase into his backseat and gently pushed her into the passenger side seat. He supposed it showed just how much she had been affected, the reality was she could've put up quite the fight if she'd wanted. She just sat next to him, staring at her hands.
"Where are we going?" She finally asked quietly. Hoseok was gripping the steering wheel tightly.
"Your home. Then my home." He said after a couple seconds, trying to sound casual and calm but only succeeding in sounding tense instead. That got a reaction.
"Wait...what...no...""Y/N, this isn't up for discussion." He said sternly, turning and giving her a serious look. She stopped, not used to seeing this side of him. Normally he was making her laugh or teasing her or goofing off with the other boys. "Don't argue with me."
Once at her place, he got out of the car, opened the door for her and helped her out. Maybe she was in shock but she seemed very frail to him, all of a sudden.
He waited in her living area as she went into her room and began throwing some other things she'd need together, curiously scanning the room. He'd never been inside her place before. There'd never been a reason to come in. He had guessed it would be a boundary she had and he had never pushed it. Until now.
His eyes fell on an opened package sitting on her table and he absently peeked inside, frowning. Was this something for their upcoming dance performance? Something for her outfit maybe? He couldn't imagine where else she'd wear a lace handkerchief....he held it up, the light peeking through it. Where would she put it, maybe wrap it around her arm? Tuck it into a pocket? It was a little big for a pocket...
He recognized the first word of the book that had been lying underneath it. Love? Was this a book for her classes? Her classes were in Korean though...
He picked it up and flipped through it, recognizing a word here or there but not enough to comprehend what it was saying.
"I'm do...." Y/N stopped short when she stepped out of her bedroom with a tote bag filled with clothes and another one filled with books. Hoseok looked up at her and proffered the book.
"Do you need this? Is it for..." To his surprise, when he held it out to her she stepped back, her face going pale.
