At 12:50 we pull up to the house, and the realtor is already there waiting for us. I park in the driveway, and she walks toward us as we get out of the car.
"Hello, I am Jennifer, you must be Taylor" she says and shake my hand.
She looks over at the kids, smiles at them then says.
"And you are Abigale, and you must be Thomas". Jennifer continues to talk, without giving us a chance to respond to her greeting.
"Will Mr. Alex be joining us today?"
"It's great to meet you Jennifer, no Alex won't be joining us. It will just be me and the kids" I say and smile politely. Afterall, she knows that it's just the kids and I who will be living here.
"Oh, ok, great, shall we step inside then? you are going to love this house. The last family who was renting it they bought their own home, they were so sad when they were leaving."
We step inside the stunning modern two-story home, with marble counter tops and hardwood floors. The French windows at the front on the ground floor are twice as big as regular windows. At the entrance to the house is a pair of beautiful French doors while glass walls adorn the entire front of the house. The natural lights fill the house making it bright, warm and homely.
Then we step outside in the back yard and all I can think is "wow" everything is so beautiful. Huge backyard space, the lawn immaculate, surrounded by lush vegetation, and trees as tall as the sky. We walk around a little, with Jennifer telling us about the area, and the schools. She recommended that I call up the school and set and appointment to get the kids registered a soon and possible.
"The town of Walnut Creek is small but has everything you will need. Most people work in the city of Idaho Falls that's where the commercial arears are all the big businesses."
I tell her my intention to start job hunting once the kids start school and are settled down a bit. Then I asked her about fun activities for kids during the summer. She names a few, then tells us about the river, which was close by, within walking distance from the house.
"Since you are new to the area, it would be great to meet the neighbors and the kids can meet their school mates before the school year starts. All the kids in Walnut Creek attend the academy. You should attend the back-to-school barbeque, all the kids and parents hang out there, by the river. It's free for the folks of Walnut Creek it's sponsored by the community elders. You guys will have fun and you never know, you might meet interesting people" she says then wink at me mischievously.
This isn't a bad idea, except, we are in hiding and are trying to live a low key seclusive lifestyle. Sure, a bunch of people knowing us, is just the opposite of what we need, yikes!! I think to myself.
"Wow, that's a nice house, who lives over there?" I hear Sophie say then points on top of the mountains. There lies a gigantic and beautiful mansion perched on top of the high mountain surrounded by forest. Whoever lives up their values privacy.
"Someone of importance must live in such a nice house" I say to Jennifer nonchalantly
"Oh, yes, that's Noah Dracon's House, him and his family practically owns all of Idaho Falls, he rarely stays there though. He lives in Mystic Ridge, that's a few minutes out of Idaho Falls. He's the most eligible bachelor in town, the object of all the girls' fantasy. Girls want to do him, and boys want to be him and boy, does he know it." Jennifer says while also staring at the house.
I clear my throat and look at Sam suggestively, indicating to Jennifer to watch what she says around Sam. I don't want him to hear that kind of talk, I still want to protect him from certain topics at least for a few more years.
