The next day we all go to Victoria's for pre-thanksgiving brunch except for Abby. she didn't come with us, and she hasn't left her room since last night. I didn't want to go to the brunch I told Noah that he could go and take Tom, but I didn't want to leave Abby alone when she was this mad at me.
I decided to go after Victoria called me and telling me I had to come. Apparently, a few of their family from Romania and Italy were here for Thanksgiving, and Victoria wanted them to meet Noah's mate.
We arrive at the mansion-castle as I like to call it and head to the grand hall everyone is already there. Johnathon comes over to me and takes me into a big hug and kisses my cheek knowing full well that it would annoy his brother.
Emma is with her mate, Ryan who she met a few weeks ago on her trip to Greece. Very handsome guy, the day after she found him, she called me asking what she could use to sooth her lady parts because she was doing it nonstop.
Yeah, werewolves get straight to the point, do the deed and seal the deal when they find their mates. Getting to know each other isn't even a second thought. They already know what time it is, and that they will spend the rest of their lives together once they accept each other so they don't waste time with human traditions.
They don't need time to get to know each other, like I tried to do with Noah but failed spectacularly.
Noah had Amalgams in is family which is a cross between vampires and wolves 'what the fuck', I didn't know these things existed. They have the strength of the wolf and the speed and agility of the vampire. I have lived in a bubble all my life thinking that the only dangerous thing out there was a man with a bomb or a gun. We have been living among some of the most lethal beings to exist, with no knowledge of the perils around me.
After meeting his family and exchanging pleasantries we all take our places at the table.
Victoria announces, "great aunt Lucy will not be joining us today, she's resting so, we will begin without her." Great aunt Lucy is Titan's aunt she is well over a hundred years old, he likes to stay by herself.
Andrei gets up next and says "Benvenuto a tutti voi! Victoria and I are always happiest hosting family and friends. Thank you all for coming and breaking bread with us. Before we begin eating this delicious meal that my wife..." he paused then continues "that my beautiful wife instructed the staff to prepare" and everyone laugh.
Victoria lovingly smacked him, and Andrei continued "I want to officially announce that my eldest son Noah, has found his mate".
Noah gets up and bow his head then holds up his glass to everyone at the table. Then he says, "everyone please welcome my beautiful mate Taylor Cambridge". I stood up next to Noah and he kisses the back of my hand then everyone started applauding and welcoming me. Noah signaled for me to sit, I sat, and he followed suit. Andrei then announced Emma has found her mate then he says "buon appetito".
The entire day was spent talking to family and friends, Noah and his male cousins are so much fun to listen to remembering their days growing up together. I imagined that my brother, Natalia, Abby and I would have been like this with each other. If only our lives turned out differently and death didn't come so soon.
Whatever happens I know that I need to work things out with Abby, but Noah is right I should give her time.
"Taylor, geez stop lusting after my brother. Did you hear a word I said?" Emma says a bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Sorry, I was otherwise caught up" I say, and we both began to laugh.
